This is a place for us to state, debate and discuss politics! I encourage everyone to do so rationally and maturely, and would ask that all participants would refrain from abuse, even when in the heat of an argument, and that some of the more mature subjects would not be presented here. The Admins wll not publish any inappropriate comments.
However, I would discourage anyone from participating if they are easily offended, or dislike having their views challenged.
This may not be a popular idea, but I wanted to give people a chance to present their views and discuss the larger issues in our world today. I hope that this idea takes, and that it will also be enjoyable and informative! :)
I will begin by introducing a topic that is curently at large in America, but is also, I believe, appropriate for CB. I would ask the Admins to correct me if I am mistaken. :)
So-- what do you all think about the idea of including women in the military draft?

What does this have to do with politics? Gender equaity has already been law for a long time. If some people don't believe that boys and girls are the same in every way, then they're allowed to have their opinion and there's nothing the government can do about it. I think many of you overestimate the government's power. I don't think it can change people's views. There will always be someone who disagrees with your views. And they're allowed to do it. If someone is physically hurt or underpaid because of it, then there IS a solution. Get a lawyer or call the police. Power in the United States is divided into three branches, legislative, executive, and judicial.

Please. Stop. Pearl, I agree with almost all of your statements, but you're just trying to cut Mei's opinon down at every turn.
But I do see why you're doing this.
Mei, you also need to take a deep breath, and simply listen.
I know we can't all agree on politics, but just because we have differing opinons doesn't mean we need to become enemies.
Almost all of your posts, especially those directed at each other, are attacks.

If not, go watch it. It's on Netflix. Now you're probably going to say, "Oh, but that's just a movie based off of a kid's show. Why would Cho want me to watch that?"
Because it carries a valuable message which you two need to hear and see.

I've read a lot of these posts, and what I've seen, isn't good.
People are fighting here.
People are refusing to respect each other here.
GUYS! PLEASE, PLEASE STOP!
I'll be 100% honest: I'm a Christian. I believe that there is a God. I'm honestly not trying to insult those who may not, that's just who I am.
From what I've read, people think that our country is a failure. There are some strong opinions here. I wish that y'all would just be the plain old Cber friends that we all are, and quit worrying about this coming election.
I believe that God has a plan.
And whatever God does, he knows what he's doing. He'll make sure that the right person becomes our new president. And whatever he does, I trust that he has a plan.
So guys! Trust! You don't have to trust in my God. Holy cow, you don't need to trust in any God if you don't have one! What I'm saying here is no matter our opinions, religions, or beliefs, we're all people, and we need to try and make this world better.
And is fighting on the CB and arguing going to make this world better?
Long answer short: No. It's gonna make it worse. If you don't like something DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE IT. Don't just argue here on the CB!
When my parents asked why I liked the CB, I said it was because it felt like a good, safe, happy environment. But it won't stay a good, safe, happy environment if we keep fighting.
I LOVE it here. I LOVE having a place where I can come write. And, unless I'm mistaken, I think y'all love it too.
So please, be kind here. We all have different opinions. We just need to respect that.
You guys will always be awesome.
