Fall PoemPoe

Fall Poem

Poets have praised
The beauty of the fall
The crimson leaves awaken
something new within us all
Also have they sung of winter
and the cardinal's gentle call
and the snowflakes that
accumulate
to create a gentle pall
but what of the half-between place
where the raindrops do flow
but have little hope (or even chance)
of becoming snow?

Please give feedback!

My quilting teacher

My quilting teacher spouts off random funny rhymes on occasion, and one of them bugged me 'till I gave it a more complete poem. So the first two stanzas are mine, and who knows where the other one came from.

In the baby-makin' workshop

They go 'round with trays of stuff

And hand out all the things those children need -

"Would you like some of his? Some of hers? Some of mine?"

And the babies pick out all their favorite things.

I wrote this

I wrote this poem after someone very close died. I would like some feedback, plz!, also, keep in mind that this is a rough draft.

the sun warmed her cheek as she passed

the raindrops parted the way for her.

her laugh made the moon shine and the grass greener

she made the world go round.

angels sang when she walked,

the devil forgot his fiendish work

and Spring bloomed even in the frost of winter

The day came when she no longer laughed,

THOUGHTS

Hello sir, how do you do,

How are you today?

They say you're good,

They say you're bad,

They're right, You're wrong,

You're incorrect,

They say.

Only you can say,

How you are.

And how you are

Is true.

Unless it's not.

You say you're good,

You say you're bad,

Letters to your characters.

We had a thread for this awhile back, and I'm reviving the idea 'cause I'm annoyed at Wolfy.

All Chatterboxers!

All Chatterboxers!

I've noticed that hardly anybuggy is using the Chatterbox right now.  I come on every day hoping for a new thred that I'd be interested in.  I mean at the bottom of the first page the last buggy who posted on it was like 2 weeks ago.  Is everybuggy busy?  Are they more worried about NaNoWriMo than there fellow buggies on Cricket? ~Sticks out lip~  pweaze do more Cwicket, pweeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaze.

Mary Liz :D

Mary Liz :D Maggie has found me on NaNo. Why didn't you warn me that she was doing YWP?? *is kidding* I love her screen name, it's so cute :D Quick question: how old did you say she was again? I'm horrible about remembering stuff like that, and didn't want to say something stupid and offend her, lol :D
