Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Oooh the series finale is soo good!! A World Between Worlds is amazinggg, I remember being so in awe when I first saw it. Also yes, I love Kallus's character arc, he was much better redeemed than some other star wars characters (*cough* kylo ren *cough*). Have you seen Clone Wars yet? If not, you should totally watch it too!!

I've only seen a few episodes of The Clone Wars and the movie, but I really liked all the characters in Rebels who were from it so I think I will try and watch it! Although it's really long and I want to watch Ahsoka soon, so I was planning to watch The Mandalorian and then Ahsoka and then The Clone Wars. What do you think?

Yes, you should definitely watch Clone Wars!! I would definitely 100% recommend watching CW before Ahsoka though, because it's basically all of Ahsoka's backstory. CW is told in an arc format, so several episodes carry one plot, or an 'arc'. It can be pretty hit or miss, so you can google a watchlist and only see the really good arcs instead of the not so great ones. But the good ones are SOOO good! You could watch the Mandalorian first but there's some great Mando arcs in Clone Wars that could add some cool context before- but it's totally your call!

Okay, cool. I'm watching the Mandolorian right now since I finished Rebels! I loved Rebels and I'm sort of sad I finished it, it's sort of bittersweet

I'm sorry you also feel like this irl... It's tough, I get that. I'd be happy to talk about some of those things, though!

What comics are you into? I read mostly Eastern ones (I particularly like Korean drama titles for some reason lol), but I'd be cool with checking out some Western ones if you have any recommendations. Or just spoil the coolest of your stories from to me, I really enjoy watching others fan-rant about stuff they love (especially if its queer ) lol :p

Love theatre and books and high fantasy (actually fantasy in general, especially when it is creative and not just stock Tolkein all over again) too! I'd be happy to discuss any of those, or listen if you wanna talk about animated shows or star wars. Again, I personally am less into movies/shows because I don't really have access to them most of the time, but I literally listen to so many analysis videos of things I've never watched onliine, dissecting them and pointing out the themes and deeper messages and all that, so I'm kind of used to it and won't mind at all. In fact, it's kinda fun listening to someone pour out their thoughts about something they are so passionate about. I particularly like it when the characters are really interesting/have cool dynamics.

I mostly like graphic novels and webcomics, and the occasional superhero comic! One of my very favorites is Nimona by ND Stevenson. I think you'd like it actually so maybe I won't spoil it for you, although there's a lot to say about it. It's a comic with queer themes and representation, cool art, and an amazing story. The movie was also really good!! I watched it with my friends once and I think they were annoyed by how I often said the characters' lines as they were speaking because I already knew them. The movie and the comic are pretty different, but I feel like it's not the same as when the movie is different from the book and it's really annoying? The author was part of making the movie and wanted some changes anyway. The books vibes are more like witty fantasy story girl power "enemies (who are kinda in love)" open ending and the movie vibes are like futuristic Middle Ages dystopia "what if we're wrong about everything?" Riot grrrl music and they hardly pretend to be enemies they're just in love lol

… did that make sense?

The book is also more aimed at teens and adults whereas the movie can be enjoyed by anyone but is more or less a kids' movie.

I just finished Star Wars: Rebels and it was so amazing!! Idk how much you know about Star Wars so here's some context: a lot of Star Wars is about the rebellion against the evil Empire. Jedi Knights, who are good people with morals and very cool swords, can use the Force to fight things of get information, have visions, ect. Rebels is a sort of "found family" story that mainly focuses on a small group of characters: a pilot called Hera, a Jedi named Kanan, a Lasat (alien species that was almost entirely wiped out) called Zeb, a Mandalorian (name for a person who is from Mandalore, a planet) named Sabine, a teenager called Ezra who's training with Kanan to be a Jedi, and their droid Chopper. Ezra is more or less the main character, although they all get focus episodes and stuff. There's a lot of backstory and there are other important characters. In the show, they go on missions to help innocent citizens and fight the Empire. There are cool dynamics and interesting characters, definitely. I could tell you more about it, if you want! There are some interesting parts of the show and a few episodes that were especially amazing. And yeah books, theatre, and high fantasy (generally I like fantasy, I just particularly like high fantasy rn) are all awesome.

Are you KIDDIN' me?! I wasted thirty five minutes tryin' to get somethin' onto a USB, then wasted another twenty minutes tryin' to get the thing on somethin', all for it to tell me it's too long?!!!! Unless I have a verified account?!! FOR A VIDEO?!!! Man, technology is a great invention, but sometimes you gotta question the sanity of the guy who set the time limit...

Oh, I FINALLY got all the characters in my game! It's 'bout time too; I had to get 200 GOLD BRICKS and I'm not gonna start with how long it took me to do that! But, hey, at least I got the characters!

So, I got a couple of discs from the library the other day, BUT GUESS WHAT? They didn't work! Not on my PS4, not on the Blu-Ray player (which doesn't work sometimes 'cause the cats have knocked it down several times), and especially not on my TV! Don't worry, I reheld the same movies from different libraries, so it's good.

I have "We No Speak Americano/Conga" stuck in my head...

WAIT AMY POEHLER AND ANNA FARIS ARE IN THIS MOVIE NO WAY THEY'RE BOTH CONNECTED TO CHRIS PRATT WHAT-- ok I'm calm now, just had to get that out.

Man... I think I have a crush on Tom Holland as well... now I have a crush on five guys. What on earth has my life come to...

Should I do a CAPATCHA thingy, with the name and all, or should I just say what the CAPATCHA says?

POLL:

Yes: CAPATCHAs are fun little creatures and they are worth the time and effort! :D

No: CAPATCHAs are a tiny minion nation working for the large HARHAR who is their boss, and they are pushing the indefinite fall of our entire world! >:(

Uhmmm... Maybe?: CAPATCHAs are kinda like those annoying pets that do cute things so you'll keep loving them. :|

Welpp... I totally did not miss your reply like 2 pages ago, sorry

anyways, Xanth (AKA the Magic of Xanth) is basically kinda like Discworld in the sense that it's all set in this world called Xanth and there are lots and lots of books in the series (like 48??) and you don't have to read them all in order and it's fantasy, and it's EXTREMELY punny, and basically it's just a parody of the entire state of Florida. These books were basically my dad's childhood, I haven't read them yet as he says they're kinda inappropriate (ok, pretty inappropriate), but he loves them. There IS some controversy around, like, portrayal and stuff, but I think the puns are worth it (even if they're sometimes terrible, e.g. the Catastrophe is a plaque with the back half of a cat stuck to it, get it? Or how the first trilogy was over after the 27th book, Cube Route)
