I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

I feel the same way 'bout Harry Styles gettin' a buzz cut.... he had GREAT hair, and he had to get a buzz cut.

I use boring words such as "good" too much, and have been attempting to improve my vocabulary and general writing for a while. Lately "better words than good" and similar phrases have appeared in my search history. Folks, make way for "terrific," "magnificent," "marvelous," "impressive," and "remarkable." We are no longer just good. We are fantastic. While these words don't seem much more interesting than "good" on their own, it does make a difference, at least to me:
"This drawing is good" vs. "This drawing is magnificent"
"You are cool" vs. "You are brilliant"
"This is nice" vs. "This is splendid"
I also love semicolons now; although I don't use them perfectly (one day…), they are so helpful.
A marvelous word for you: "Ephemeral," an adjective meaning "short-lived" or "fleeting." I love this word and its bittersweetness.
"Although it is an ephemeral season, autumn is my favorite time of year."

Ooh, yes! And those synonyms can also help you to be more specific than just using "good" too! And, hey, "ephemeral"'s also one of my favorite words! The ephemeral broomstick from A Wrinkle in Time! :)

I did some calculation and realized that I can sing at least a few lines of songs in at least eight languages?? Portuguese (Desfado by Ana Moura); Italian (Mai by Giulano Desideri); English, of course; Spanish (a lot of pop, mariachi, folk, etc.); French (Mille apres mille by Fred Pellerin); Greek (Exinta Dis Dolaria by somebody whose name I went and forgot :/); Farsi (Behet Ghol Midam by Mohsen Yeganeh); and one of my conlangs, although idk if that one counts...
