Triwizard Tournament RP!
I know there's...

I know there's already another HPRP going on, but this idea has been spinning around in my head for a while, and it's time to put it into action.

So this is somewhere between the time the Tournament started and the time 'the death toll mounted so high that they canceled it'. We're going to need to do a lot of inventing, since I don't think Rowling gives that much information on it. Time to get out the old copy of The Lexicon and try to look up anything related to it.

But anyway, this is before you had to be of age to enter, so you can be any age. Hogwarts is the host school since we know the most about it.

A downside is that we can only have three champions, but we can be friends, supporters, etc. We'll decide which school wins later.

Well I wouldn't mind being a champion, but I'll have to talk to ZB first... Third challenge is finding the cup but where? It could be in some underground mine or underwater. The first challenge could be riding a hippogrif (or however it's spelled) and finding _____ (some object) that gives you a clue about the next challenge.

Maybe the next challenge could be a scavenger hunt in the Forbidden Forest after you find the clue to the first object when you get tame the griffin and it gives you a clue somehow? Not a great idea, but I'm slightly brain dead at the moment.

I like the forest idea. And I guess I'm Durmstang champ for now...

Should we start? I'll try to get a hold of ZB. For now I don't know who the Beauxbaton champion is.

Yes definitely!!

Talked with ZB and she said that it'd be better if I'm the champ because she can't post that often. So Colette is the champion of Beauxbaton.

So I guess that makes me champ of Hogwarts... is that okay with everyone else?

@Blue Moon- That sounds cool, but you'll have to be careful when coaching Colette because the champion usually doesn't get a trainer.

-Colette-

The carriage was so full that I felt that it might fall out of the sky, but the horses pulling it were strong. I was so excited. We were going to Hogwarts where the Triwizard Tournament awaited us. Of course I wasn't sure why it had to be held in a castle that was rumored to be so dreary and dark when we could've had it in our bright palace in France. (Not sure about the France part, but we can pretend that they live there.)

I looked at Leila who was sitting next to Madame Albina with prefect posture, not even a strand of her straight hair was out of place. I felt sure that she would be the Triwizard champion. She got the best grades, was the prettiest and best with charms, spells and curses. But I could still dream. I imagined my name being called out and all the glory of being the winner.

Suddenly Ann, who was sitting next to me, nudged my shoulder. "Look out the window, Colette!"

I leaned to look out and caught my breath. A stone castle sat on a cliff over looking a lake. A forest was behind it and I could already see the faces of students peeping out from a bridge over a cavern.

"We're here!" I squeaked.

Ann bit her lip. "It's bigger than I thought it would be!"

Madame Albina cleared her throat, exchanged some words with our headmistress (unless you want her to be the headmistress, Blue Moon), gave us a look that said we'd better behave and relaxed on the velvety blue seat.

"Coco," my sister used her nickname for me. "You two had better behave!" She finished. Hadn't Madame Albina already warned us, but Ann and I had done quite a few things at school (blowing up the girls' bathroom for example).

We landed with a jolt and got out of the carraige. A large man (NOT HAGRID) with blond hair awaited us, a smiled on his face. He kissed Madame Albina's and the Headmistress' hands and turned to the horses.

"Hope you have a lot of whiskey!" Madame Albina spoke in English, then turned to us. "You ready, girls?"

We nodded politely. I smoothed my curls and skirt before looking up into the curious faces of Hogwarts' students.

"I'm nervous," I told Ann.

"Me too!" And we followed our Headmistress.

It seemed, to Saya, that all of the Beauxbatons students looked like fairies. She wasn't sure why.

The group strolled in. Everything about them was refined and elegant.

Frenchies, Saya thought, rolling her eyes. Her own mother had tried to put her in, what were they called again? A debutante ball? Then there were the endless ballet and etiquette classes. All in an effort to rid Saya of her, well, cold and not-very-refined-only-refined personality. That hadn't worked out at all.

The majority of bets had been placed on some Ravenclaw named Erica Foster for Hogwarts champion. Saya didn't know her- only seen her- so she placed her bet on Tony, Slytherin from year Seven, who was probably the most attractive person in the whole world.

Of course, that didn't figure her decision. It was just a coincidence.

Saya stole a glance at Tony, who was sitting further down. She felt someone nudge her in the ribs. She turned and glared at the giant beast that was Finnigan Flaharty, opening her mouth and trying to remember whether Flaharty was sensitive or a rock.

It was then that Durmstrang decided to make an appearance.

Erica~

The Beauxbatons girls waltzed in like fairies in a magical forest. It took all my effort not to throw up right there.

"Ugh. Sophisticated snots." My best friend Elizabeth snorted. I nodded. These girls were supposed to compete with us? They looked like they could barely hold a wand! All blush and no brains.

"Welcome Beauxbatons students!" our headmaster rumbled from his dining table. "We hope you enjoy your stay here in Hogwarts." A few of the Bow Buttons (I had decided to call them that) snorted in disgust. "Feel free to leave at any moment, if we're that disgusting to you," Elizabeth hissed. I rolled my eyes.

"Who do you think will be the Hogwarts champion?" I whispered. Elizabeth shrugged. "Well, I bet on you, cause you're the top of our class, but that Tony girl has a pretty good shot at getting it." I shrugged. "Then I hope she's smart. Of course, you don't have to be smart to beat this lot. What's their worst weapon? Lipstick and powder puffs?" I said this rather loudly, loud enough for the Bow Buttons to hear me. The rest of my table was laughing like there was no tomorrow. Pretty soon, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Slytherin joined in. Though it was intended to be funny, it was probably pretty true.

Beauxbatons was glowering at the floor, and one girl with long blond hair glared straight at me, like she knew I had said it. I gave her an innocent smile and batted my eyelashes.

That's when she let everything rip.

Spara~

I pull my fur coat tighter around me, more out of nervousness than cold. As our small group enters the gigantic Great Hall in Hogwarts, I feel the eyes of Hogwarts and Beauxbatons students upon us. A Hogwarts student at a table far to the right leans over and whispers something into their neighbor's ear. He goes pale and seems to draw further away from us.

Trying to look confident, I look up at the ceiling instead, which looks just like the sky outside. I point this out to my friend Evan.

He glances up, impressed. "That's really advanced magic," he comments. Glancing around to find out where to sit, we decide to sit at the table where they look the most friendly to us. Me and Evan sit down next to a black-haired girl who eyes us critically.

"I'm Evan," my friend says confidently. I look away, examining the plates. I don't like people I don't know much, while Evan makes friends in a matter of minutes. It's something about his personality.

Sure enough, the girl looks up. "I'm Saya," she says.

Evan smiles encouragingly. "THis is Spara," he replies, gesturing to me.

"I do my own introductions, thank you, Evan."  I hiss.

Saya laughs slightly. "Who do you think's going to be chosen from your school?" she asks conversationally, probably either unsure what else to talk to us about.

"Evan," I say quickly, before he can object. "He's top in everything,"

He blushes lightly. "This isn't an exam, Spara."

As it turns out, he was right.
