The RP Board is where we write the most.

Hello, and welcome! The story has evolved quite a bit since the Story So Far thread on the landing page. There's another Story So Far thread in the Power of Claw section (accessed by clicking on the Power of Claw icon at the top of the landing page), which covers a chunk from about a year ago, Power of Fin era. But it's not the whole story, so I'll try to sum that up now.

The Brazen Inquiry Guild and the Fur and Feathers Association were just the beginning. The main plot is the story of the six Powers, ancient beings with magic powers, particularly in their struggle against the once-human boy king Catastrophe. Catastrophe is evil, the Powers are complicated but mostly good. Check the Power Origin thread for a little more about them. Almost every Power has at least one Sideaffected Power, created from a Power's flaws or mistakes, and they are usually fixated on destroying the Power that created them. 

Side plots are many and varied. The BIG versus the FAFA was one, but over the course of a lot of shenanigans, they fell to the wayside in favor of the Resistance, an all-species-inclusive organization currently dedicated to usurping Catastrophe and establishing a council to rule in his place. There used to be a whole mess of other armies, most of which have now been dissolved or absorbed.

There was a splinter organization from the BIG for a while called the Society of Concerned Scientists, which experimented on humans as well as animals, producing such things as angels, people with grafted wings on their backs. The arguably first successful angel was shadow, who also somehow became the Angel of Death, able to bring people back from the dead and never die herself. She's died and been revived a couple of times, and hasn't been active in a while but was very prominent at one point, involved in a whole lot of drama with her SOCS-brainwashed and trained sister Alexandria, plus the Resistance and Catastrophe.

Another thing was SailHaven. SailHaven was a steampunk island in the sky, once crashed, now flown away. Several Kyngdom characters originated there (including Elliot, Poe Allen, possibly Octavia and/or Olympia, and Sprocket), as well as Æther (a rather undefined substance that acts as an energy source), a couple of armies, and the role of automatons.

Going back to the Powers for a moment, there was a seventh being created at the same time as the Powers known as the PowerFriend. She married Catastrophe and I think he killed her, but not before she began a bloodline that now has at its end Icicle Soul and her twin sister Anwen. Icy and Anwen have a few Power-related abilities and are meant to help protect the Powers, I think. 

Lastly, Mer is a city on the sea and the site of a very large flea market that's been attracting a lot of attention lately. You could easily slip in there.
