Hello, it's me
Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™ RP Board
Hello, it's me
Hello, it's me again!
This is my first thread, and it's going to focus on my charrie Lycaella, her mom and her friend Nygrune. It's for following our adventures while we're not in a place or situation covered by another thread. 'We' because Ronan has asked to be Nygrune, to which of course I said yes.
Someone (I think Icy) said that B.I.G. and Catstrophe actually dislike each other. It makes sense, so... Just to let you know.
I'll begin where I left off on the Underwater Ball thread, with Lycaella and Nygrune planning to do some spying of a sort. They've asked Lycaella's mom to show them her notes, so I'll fast-forward to that.
Lycaella~
"Oh, so you're giving them their shadows back?"
We are sitting on a rug in my mom's room, reading her notes. I can't make sense of half the words, but she tells Nygrune and I what it means. Apparently, Catastrophe has found a way to separate shadows from their owners' bodies, and to keep him from creating a shadow army and destroying everything, B.I.G. has been researching it. They've managed to figure out how he did it, and are testing ways to reattach the shadows to their owners.
"Well, that's one way of putting it," my mom says. "We believe it will be beneficial to all of Kyngdom."
"I don't really understand this one... How would they sew them back on?" I ask.
"I believe it's with a special sort of thread, Ella," Mom says. "Let's see now..."
Nygrune finds it first. "A needle made from the bone of a magic or mythical being, preferably with thread also made from a magical material."
"Yes," my mom says, "Although personally I think that a binding spell shows more promise." I raise an eyebrow. She doesn't usually like magic this much. Out of nowhere, I yawn. Mom and Nygrune look at me like I'm disrupting something.
"Sorry," I say. "I'm getting kind of tired. You two can keep reading, I don't mind."
My mom nods. I hear her calling after me as I leave the room.
"Remember to brush your teeth!"
~End RP.
It actually is getting kind of late, so I should go. I hope this works out.

Sword of Ravenmore, Shield of Battleclaw. Crown of... Kyngdom?
(January 14, 2018 - 3:53 pm)
Crown of Kyngdom has a nice ring to it.

Hazel~
"Maybe nut until we know you're good," Nieke says. [Good one, Nieke] "It was a pain in the tail doing all that the first time, and it won't be easier if you're trying to kill us all the while."
"Okay. I understand," I respond. Then the statement registers. "Wait, was I trying to kill you before?"
We spend the next few hours catching up. Slowly my grogginess fades as I'm given a summary of what happened after our base was attacked by Jaaws.
I notice that Trixie and Nieke skirt around details such as how they knew I was hypnotized and where in Kyngdom we are. They also elude answer as to how exactly I was cured.
Eventually the stories fizzle out--though I resolve to bring them back up after it's confirmed I'm safe from Jaaws--and I am further introduced to Ben and Norah.
In the middle of the conversation, though, a massive headache sets in. Probably from all those times Nieke and Trixie knocked me out. Oh, and the chloroform too.
Norah gives me some kind of potion and I feel a little better, but by then, the sun is beginning to set.
"So...am I safe to untie now?" I ask again, shifting slightly and thinking we should probably find somewhere to make camp.
-----------
At this point I suppose they will have to somehow check and see if Jaaws is gone from Hazel's head. (By the way, the answer is yes; Hazel is truly un-hypnotized now!)
(January 16, 2018 - 2:24 pm)
Maybe Norah could do a spell of light and searching, or bring us to her community so they can, or bring them to us, unless she has a potion for it?
Nieke~
"So... am I safe to untie now?" Hazel asks. She hasn't lingered on the subject throughout our conversation, so she's probably peachy. All that's left is the others' judgement.
"What d'ya think, is she a good nut?" I ask.
~Short! :P
(January 16, 2018 - 3:54 pm)
”Is she a good nut?” Nieke asks.
I nod. “Well, I don’t think she’s going nutty anymore.”
Genesis shakes her head, obviously unimpressed.
Whatever. I untie Hazel and she stumbles since she hasn’t really moved in a while. I help her stand up.
I use a sight spell to see if if Jaaws is out of her head for sure.
“You’re clear, Hazel!” I exclaim, and everyone cheers.
I then raise my hands in the air. “Nut-thing will stop us now!”
(January 17, 2018 - 8:38 am)
And I have no idea what to do next!
(January 18, 2018 - 8:35 am)
"Figure it out, Alexander."
XD I'm sorry, I had to. Hamilton is the best. And now, a legitimate answer: You could start by figuring out where in Kyngdom you are and who you were last with, what organizations you have relationships with, what those relationships are, and what your goals are.

I finally found it! The Power Thread made by Claaws, from November 2016, the last post is by me, and I quote it, "It's great that they're allied with the Resistance now." This is in reference to the BIG. I know what's going on! *dances around making ambiguous happy noises* And that was around the time of the SOCS ball, so just after the first adventures with Laeta, and a while before Lycaella's dad's visit. I never did get around to the contents of that file...
Lycaella~
We talk more as we move Laeta into the spare room, filling each other in on the past two months of our lives. She tells me about getting recruited as a spy, her training and missions so far, and a few more details of this one. I explain about the SOCS ball, my dad, magic...I leave the house in the woods for last, unsure whether I should keep it a secret.
"So you're really a witch?" Laeta asks. She's sprawled on the bed, looking over at where I'm comfortably set up next to her. I laugh.
"More or less. But probably not the way you're thinking of it."
She raises an eyebrow. "So you don't dress in black and brew potions to kill stuff?"
I grin. "I've done that exactly once." Laeta gawks, we both laugh, and I expand; "Most spells are a combination of physical objects, energy and incantations. There are different kinds of magic, of course, so they'll do different things, from heal to explode to turn on the sink when your hands are full."
Laeta nods. "That sounds useful."
"It is," I sigh happily, fiddling with her bag. "It can be draining, though, or I would use it all the time. Like now, with your--what's in here, bricks?"
Laeta puts on a playfully hurt face. "It's only supplies. Food, clothes, engineering materials."
"Ah yes, the engineering materials. An essential of life, and an excellent brick substitute."
"No less than sketchbooks and magic supplies," Laeta shoots back, gently kicking a box of interesting wood bits.
"I know, it's still a mess," I admit.
"It's fine," Laeta waves me off. "Better than it was." It's true; we had to rearrange a lot of old junk to make the room suitably clear.
I give a wry smile. "Yeah, that was an adventure all by itself." We laugh, and then there is a pause.
~And it is in that pause which I shall end. Hope you're still here!

I know I should probably RP, but I just don't know what to write! Do Ben and Norah still want to join the Elites?
Chip says "Febb." You're right, Chip, February is coming soon.
(January 24, 2018 - 6:59 pm)
I've felt that way. The best way to get over it is to write.
In answer to your question, I think they do.
(January 25, 2018 - 6:18 pm)
Yes, I would still like to join.
And that’s happened to me many times before, haha.
(January 26, 2018 - 5:02 pm)
Nieke~
Norah nods. "Well, I don't think she's going nutty anymore."
I grin, although the owl Genesis shakes her head.
We untie Hazel, and Norah helps her stand. She digs out another spell, and when it's over she smiles.
"You're clear, Hazel!"
We all cheer. "Nut-thing will stop us now!" Norah declares, putting her hands up. I roll my eyes, then laugh anyway.
"It's good to be back. And un-hypnotized," Hazel says.
"It's good to have you back, and yourself," Trixie replies.
"And do you know what this means?" I exclaim.
"What?" everyone asks.
"Elf magic works against Jaaws!"
"Ohhh!"
"It does?"
"Mission accomplished!"
"Yeah!"
"That's great!"
"We only have one sample," Trixie points out.
"That's true," Hazel ponders.
"Anyone want to be sample two?" I joke. "Oh wait, but Etoile!"
"What about Etoile?"
"Who is Etoile?"
"Etoile, the other girl who fended off Jaaws with that light magic. She was an elf, right?"
~Hazel, Norah, Trixie, you can try continuing off of this. I hope I didn't control anyone.
(January 28, 2018 - 11:34 am)
Does anyone remember how Icy and Eli were saved in the labyrinth tunnels? I don't, but I bet Trixie the character would, so if we can figure that out Trixie can add that to the conversation.
(January 29, 2018 - 12:34 pm)
That was in the Power of Claw, right? I wasn't there at the time, but it's probably findable.
