Hello, it's me
Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™ RP Board
Hello, it's me
Hello, it's me again!
This is my first thread, and it's going to focus on my charrie Lycaella, her mom and her friend Nygrune. It's for following our adventures while we're not in a place or situation covered by another thread. 'We' because Ronan has asked to be Nygrune, to which of course I said yes.
Someone (I think Icy) said that B.I.G. and Catstrophe actually dislike each other. It makes sense, so... Just to let you know.
I'll begin where I left off on the Underwater Ball thread, with Lycaella and Nygrune planning to do some spying of a sort. They've asked Lycaella's mom to show them her notes, so I'll fast-forward to that.
Lycaella~
"Oh, so you're giving them their shadows back?"
We are sitting on a rug in my mom's room, reading her notes. I can't make sense of half the words, but she tells Nygrune and I what it means. Apparently, Catastrophe has found a way to separate shadows from their owners' bodies, and to keep him from creating a shadow army and destroying everything, B.I.G. has been researching it. They've managed to figure out how he did it, and are testing ways to reattach the shadows to their owners.
"Well, that's one way of putting it," my mom says. "We believe it will be beneficial to all of Kyngdom."
"I don't really understand this one... How would they sew them back on?" I ask.
"I believe it's with a special sort of thread, Ella," Mom says. "Let's see now..."
Nygrune finds it first. "A needle made from the bone of a magic or mythical being, preferably with thread also made from a magical material."
"Yes," my mom says, "Although personally I think that a binding spell shows more promise." I raise an eyebrow. She doesn't usually like magic this much. Out of nowhere, I yawn. Mom and Nygrune look at me like I'm disrupting something.
"Sorry," I say. "I'm getting kind of tired. You two can keep reading, I don't mind."
My mom nods. I hear her calling after me as I leave the room.
"Remember to brush your teeth!"
~End RP.
It actually is getting kind of late, so I should go. I hope this works out.

Thank you! Yes, Scarlet will be back too! I just need to find a way to fit her into the story.
(July 9, 2017 - 9:10 am)
Jaaws can move when she's hypnotized someone, but not when she's posessing someone. Hypnotized people have to obey her every command but will do so however their subconscience feels would be best; posessed people don't have any control over their body at all because Jaaws is actually in it.
Jaaws~
Hazel is still under my control. How is this even possible? The elf-human's light magic would've allowed her to escape my clutches, but Hazel stayed.
I ponder this for a few moments, then realize her motives. She was trying to protect her friends--how noble. But she has essentially given me herself, for now I know her weakness.
I spread my wings out and shake them of snow, then lift off into the air. Hazel knows what to do now. I will check in occasionally, but for now I have other things to do.
Hazel~
Hazel's eyes open with a start, and for a moment, the world spins. She blinks a few times and then everything is clearer. She takes in the almost-destroyed camp with a twinge of satisfaction, allowing herself a small smile since no one's looking at her.
Suddenly Hazel realizes why no one's looking at her--a large white wolf has stepped into the clearing. She can't hear what he's saying--she wish she could--so instead she pretends to look bewildered in case someone turns around and sees her. No doubt they'll be wondering if Etoile's magic has worked.
-------------------
Wow, that was crazy short! I wanted to give Moonshadow and the others a little more time to talk before they noticed Hazel.

Okay, so, this is incomplete, but:
Most of the business at Jökull you were there for, I think, Catastrophe now occupies it, he took some prisoners and Jaaws stayed there for a while terrorizing them. The activated Powers were there for a time, held by glass chains full of Brazen Goo, but then Icy snuck in and there was a fight between her and the Powers and Catastrophe, and the Powers broke their chains and turned back into instruments, and Icy picked them up and fled into the woods where she could reactivate them. Ronan was also a prisoner around that time, but one of my charries, the Nobyl Karune Pur Lamour, snuck him out by basically acting like a ninja and left him in the woods for the animals to help because she also had to attend his execution. He was not actually executed, a double was.
Sometime after that, an Oracle sent out a message to the main armies asking them to send representatives to her giant flower for a prophecy. It took a while--I think that might have been because Alexandria died, killed in a duel against the Headmistress of the SOCS Academy. Do you know about the SOCS? I can't remember when they sprang up. Shortly after Alexandria died, shadow followed, also killed by the Headmistress. Mina and her friend Baron killed the Headmistress later on, but anyway, some people went, and then Catastrophe came and destroyed the flower. The prophecy was delivered and I don't remember what happened directly after that. There was a bit of a ruckus about the Shield of Battleclaw then... Were you there for the Sword, Shield and Crown thing? If Catastrophe gets all three, each of which is better guarded than the last, he can rule Kyngdom.
I think it was actually afterwards that Alexandria was captured, shadow went rogue and both died. But in any case, there was a mission to Jökull to free prisoners, which succeeded despite setbacks. And now we're planning another. Also, Random Person's RPing Café opened up near the ruins of Mer. I left out a lot, but I think that's most of what happened. There are some new people, including Microchip, Random Person, and the Winged Ones, the latter being a quartet of teens with wings, some of the first successful experiments. That's about all I've got. Oh, and Karune's little sister Lilly died at the Ball of Flowers, where they were gathering information with others in the Resistance. I only mention it because it pushed Karune over the brink and she nearly killed the woman who set off the explosion, and then she ran away and is thinking of joining the Animals. I only mention it because she's been handling most of the Resistance's paperwork, although I think Icy's been doing a little of it as well. Among all the deaths, Brynn returned, but she couldn't bring anyone back. Hope this helps!

Awesome, thanks. My friend Anwen would like to know where she can find Icy, her twin sister. Have you heard anything from her lately? If so, I'm sure Anwen would greatly appreciate it.
(July 10, 2017 - 6:53 pm)
Icy... Hm... The last I remember hearing of her, she was at the Resistance base after the Jökull mission.
(July 11, 2017 - 9:50 am)
I actually never agreed to Catastrophe having the Crown, so he does not have it yet, in case anyone was wondering. I just need to continue to have it for further plot reasons.
(July 11, 2017 - 11:31 am)
I believe he has to get the Shield before he even tries going after the Crown, and Trixie is the only one who knows where the Shield is if I'm not mistaken.
(July 12, 2017 - 8:37 pm)
The author of Trixie is the only real life person who knows. (Actually, she might have told some of her family. But that's beside the point.) There are more charries who know, but none of them have posted yet.
(July 13, 2017 - 9:14 pm)
I cannot write right now, but I would like to say a few things about Trixie so that someone who does write can get her right.
1. She won't trust Hazel yet. She needs proof that Jaaws is gone to trust her again. She'll probably knock Hazel out until she get a ay to prove it.
2. She doesn;t like Moonshadow. She doesn't dislike him, but he brings back bad memories. She will talk as little as possible around him.
(July 13, 2017 - 9:18 pm)
Well, since it's quite overdue, I'm going to RP.
Nieke~
"Trixie?"
Trixie doesn't respond. She only stares.
"You know each other?" I say, trying to break the tension.
"Yes. We're old friends," the wolf answers. Judging by Trixie's expression, I'm not so sure 'friends' would be the word, but I don't know for sure yet.
"How long have you been gone?" I ask.
"A moon or two," the wolf replies. "Far too long."
I don't know how long a moon is, but I do my best to compile a summary of recent events in my head. Trixie remains silent, no longer looking at the wolf. Not looking at anyone.
I tell the wolf about the past few weeks, but it's not enough, so I reach further into memory and pull out a month, then a little more just in case. That works, and the wolf thanks me, then refocuses on Trixie, who has gotten up to wander off towards Etoile and looks less than pleased with the attention. I try to distract the wolf with more questions, but most of them glance off. And then two things happen at once; A bird flutters down into the clearing and Trixie gives a shout, a startled cry. I follow her gaze to Hazel, and Hazel is awake.
(July 18, 2017 - 4:35 am)
Nieke~
"She's awake," I mutter, stating the obvious. "How long..."
"She's bound. It shouldn't be a problem," reasons the wolf--Moonshadow, he said his name was.
Hah. I gently tap my fist on a log. Once, twice, thrice. I imagine it looks like fidgeting. Hazel/Jaaws blinks.
Trixie walks over to me, whispers in my ear.
"I don't think we can trust her yet. What should we do?"
"Whatever you think is best."
She nods and goes hesitantly back towards Hazel/Jaaws. Halfway there, she retraces her steps to grab a piece of firewood, then continues and hits Hazel/Jaaws over the head with it. Hazel slumps, unconscious. I nod. Moonshadow is silent. I turn my attention to the bird.
"Hello, friend," I say to it. It pecks the damp ground by my foot. It looks like it's carrying something. I give it a finger to perch on and relieve it of what I now see to be a scroll, thanking it for its service. The bird chirps and flits to the edge of the camp, away from Hazel/Jaaws.
"What is it?" Moonshadow asks. I unroll the parchment and skim the careful calligraphy.
"An invitation for representatives to come to a meeting of the Kyngdom Council in the east." Moonshadow considers for a moment.
(July 19, 2017 - 11:54 am)
Moonshadow~
"This is important. I need to attend." I say. "Thank you all. I'll be back." With that, I turn and run toward East Kyngdom.
~
Sorry it's so short. I won't be RPing here for a bit because of the meeting, but I must thank Viola for the easy explanation of my disappearance.
