Hello, it's me
Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™ RP Board
Hello, it's me
Hello, it's me again!
This is my first thread, and it's going to focus on my charrie Lycaella, her mom and her friend Nygrune. It's for following our adventures while we're not in a place or situation covered by another thread. 'We' because Ronan has asked to be Nygrune, to which of course I said yes.
Someone (I think Icy) said that B.I.G. and Catstrophe actually dislike each other. It makes sense, so... Just to let you know.
I'll begin where I left off on the Underwater Ball thread, with Lycaella and Nygrune planning to do some spying of a sort. They've asked Lycaella's mom to show them her notes, so I'll fast-forward to that.
Lycaella~
"Oh, so you're giving them their shadows back?"
We are sitting on a rug in my mom's room, reading her notes. I can't make sense of half the words, but she tells Nygrune and I what it means. Apparently, Catastrophe has found a way to separate shadows from their owners' bodies, and to keep him from creating a shadow army and destroying everything, B.I.G. has been researching it. They've managed to figure out how he did it, and are testing ways to reattach the shadows to their owners.
"Well, that's one way of putting it," my mom says. "We believe it will be beneficial to all of Kyngdom."
"I don't really understand this one... How would they sew them back on?" I ask.
"I believe it's with a special sort of thread, Ella," Mom says. "Let's see now..."
Nygrune finds it first. "A needle made from the bone of a magic or mythical being, preferably with thread also made from a magical material."
"Yes," my mom says, "Although personally I think that a binding spell shows more promise." I raise an eyebrow. She doesn't usually like magic this much. Out of nowhere, I yawn. Mom and Nygrune look at me like I'm disrupting something.
"Sorry," I say. "I'm getting kind of tired. You two can keep reading, I don't mind."
My mom nods. I hear her calling after me as I leave the room.
"Remember to brush your teeth!"
~End RP.
It actually is getting kind of late, so I should go. I hope this works out.

Hello, I was wondering if I could somehow work one of my characters into the sory, as this seems to be the only real active thread. Maybe Poe could fit in here?

(June 28, 2017 - 7:08 pm)
Perhaps. You saw my RP as Karune? I was thinking she would stop by Random Person's cafe and join the Animals at some point.
(June 28, 2017 - 7:59 pm)
Ok, I will wait until your character joins the Animals to have them interact at all.
(June 28, 2017 - 9:19 pm)
Hiya, Trixie, welcome back! Did you have a good time at camp?
Hazel~
Hazel, come back. Wake up!
I'm conscious again. How long has it been since Etoile tried to drive Jaaws out of me? I have no sense of time while I'm under hypnosis--in fact, I have no senses at all. It could've only been minutes, but just the same it could've been days. Or...months! And who knows what awful things I've done in the time between...
Hazel. Are you there?
The voice is firmer this time.
gEt oUT oF mY doMaiN! screeches someone else.
Oh. That's Jaaws. But who's the other person? I can't think straight. There's this bright light in my eyes and I can't see.
The light flares brighter and I hear a roar, dulled as if miles away. In response to the light's brightening, I feel a white-hot rod of pain shoot through me.
Hazel, come to me, urges the lighter of the voices.
There's another roar that totally encompases me. I feel like I'm surrounded by pillows filled with thorns--they're both comforting and deadly. Afraid to move, I try to talk to the voice.
"Who are you?"
Suddenly I feel a tug. "No!" I scream. Jaaws is trying to take me back.
Focus your mind, Hazel, on nothing but the light surrounding you. It will act as a passage for you to escape Jaaws.
"But where will the Jaaws part go once I'm free?!"
Don't think about that. Just focus!
I try to focus on the light. I close my eyelids to fully allow myself to concentrate on the light feeling inside me.
Jaaws is souting and snarling and roaring behind me, but she's growing more and more distant all the while...
I can tell what she's thinking; she's going to come back if Etoile succeeds.
But Etoile can protect us from her...
...ArE yOu suRe aBouT tHat?
No, I'm not! Etoile is still weak!
And she's losing power. If I don't hurry and make up my mind...
Jaaws could potentially kill all of us. I--I have to stay hypnotized. It's the only way to save us! If I'm hypnotized then Jaaws will have no reason to come back; she'll pretend Etoile's magic worked and it'll be up to them to see through her ruse. And personally, I figure I'm a lot less deadly than Jaaws. I'm sure they'd rather face me than her, even if she's controlling me.
I've made my choice. I hope it's not the wrong one. I just know there's no way we can fight Jaaws down.
There's a sharp snap in my ears and a dull-sounding boom as everything flies to pieces and I loose consciousness once more.

I take a deep breath as I exit Hazel's mind. Trixie cares for an unconscious Hazel while Neike asks me a question.
"Did it work?"
"I-I'm not sure," I stutter.
I look towards Hazel and slightly hover my hand above her head.
"I've given her light thoughts," I say. "But I don't know when she'll wake up."
I need sleep. As if she's reading my mind, Neike looks over at me. "You need some rest."
"No, no, I'm fine. I'll wait for Haz-"
"No," Trixie gently interrupts. "We'll stay awake and watch for anything. You need to take a break."
I just nod my head helplessly and slump down, falling asleep quickly in the soft grass.

A couple of very short RPs:
Nieke~
I tuck the girl into a sleeping bag near her horse and set about rekindling the fire.
"Well, it looks like we're stuck here until she can travel and we figure out a way to transport Hazel," I sigh. "And Jaaws knows where we are."
Trixie nods. "We'll have to move. But how?"
I have no idea. We're both silent for a few minutes, thinking.
"Can Jaaws move her own body while she's hypnotizing someone?" I finally ask.
~
Karune~
I walk all day and make camp near the edge of the forest. I can't believe I'm here already--I've never been this far alone, but it's been fast going with no distractions and the goal to get as far away from home as possible. The night passes quietly, which is surprising, but hey, I'm not complaining.
I walk all the next day, too, and soon enough I find myself in a café in Southern Kyngdom, near the ruins of Mer. I order a Masala chai and pull out the poster for the Animals while I wait, inspecting it more closely. It's a little beat up from the time spent in my pack, but still quite readable. It says exactly the same thing as it did when I found it.
~By my calculations, Karune traveled about 50 miles that first day. She's in crazy good shape. Also, stay tuned for next time, when she changes her name on the spot. She's also going to start acting a little differently, quieter and calmer, but a secretive quiet and a dangerous calm.
(July 5, 2017 - 2:44 pm)
Where are we? I know we're traveling north, but do we have exact location. It matters for my next post. I'll just put [location] for now, but I do want to know.

~Trixie~
“Can Jaaws move her own body while she’s hypnotizing someone?” Nieke asked. I sighed.
“That’s the problem.” I said. “No one knows. No one knows anything about her. We’re the group that’s supposed to figure these things out. It’d be a cool way to go down in history. Nieke, Hazel, and Trixie, the fearless threesome who saved the war from Jaaws by finding out her weakness!” I sighed again. “But no, we’re going to go down as the group who failed to figure it out. The group whose leader was hypnotized and maybe couldn’t even be cured because almost no one’s ever dealt with it.….” My voice trailed off as I realized something. “But people have! I have, for Claaws’s sake! Why didn’t I think of this?”
“What?” Nieke said. “What are you talking about? When did you deal this before?”
“The labyrinth tunnels! Little Crow was hypnotized! I have to talk to Charlie!” I pulled out my phone and dialed his number. It rang. And rang. And rang,
“Charlie, pick up! Pickuppickuppickup!” It rang again.
“Hi, you’ve reached Charlie. Apparently I can’t pick up right now, so if you leave your name and number I’ll try to get back to you.” The tone that said it was recording a message sounded.
“Charlie you idiot! Why didn’t you pick up? Sorry, it’s probably not your fault. Anyway, it’s Trixie, you have my number, and I reallyreallyreally need to talk to you! Please call me back as soon as you can!” I hung up. Right away it rang again. The caller ID said it was Ben. I picked up.
“What do you want? And why are you calling me instead of using the intercom?” He laughed slightly at my greeting.
“Hi Trixie! It’s nice to talk to you too. I’m calling you because you’re outside of intercom range. You know, if you used it more you would know this already.”
“I do not have time for that discussion right now. And yes, it’s lovely to talk to you, but now is not the best time to chat.”
“Then I’ll keep it short. Where are you right now.”
I’m at [location]. Why?”
“You’ll see! I should go now, bye!”
“Ben, what are you planning?”
“Bye!” He hung up.
“Who was that?” Nieke asked.
“My brother Ben.” I said. “He wanted to know where we are. He wouldn’t say why.”
“Do you have any guesses?”
“Plenty. Do I have any good ones? That’s a different question.”
“So what are you going to do?”
“What we were going to do anyway. Wait.”

A snow-white wolf walked into a clearing, the moonlight reflecting off of his soft thick fur. He noticed a light flickering not far off, and headed toward it. Around the fire sat three girls and a horse. The wolf was silent as he watched the group around the fire from the shadows. They were talking about something. Planning something. Suddenly, the horse caught sight of the large wolf, whinnying in fear. One of the girls went over to where the horse was, and started soothing it. Then she glanced over toward the bushes. Two bright blue eyes set in a white face stared back at her. The girl gasped, jumping back. The wolf stepped out of the shadows.
"Hello." He said. "I am Moonshadow. Guardian of The Power of Howl, descendant of the great wolf, Lunee. I'm not here to hurt you. I don't know if any of you remember me. I've been gone a long time. Much too long. But I have returned. Now could someone please tell me what I missed?"
^- . -^
Yes, it's me, Moonshadow, and I'm back! I know I've disappeared for a long time, and I'm sure a lot of you don't remember me, but I decided to come back. I missed Kyngdom whether I knew it or not. I also decided to write from a different POV than usual, but I thought it suited the mood better this time. I would much appreciate if someone could catch me up on what's been happening since I left.
(July 7, 2017 - 4:23 pm)
Welcome back! When did you leave? I'm afraid I've done a poor job of documenting the plot, but I'll do my best to help and answer any questions you have.
(July 7, 2017 - 8:39 pm)
Trixie and Moonshadow have met before. Has he forgotten her or has he just not recognized her yet? (Or something else that I haven't thought of.)
(July 7, 2017 - 8:47 pm)
Oh, he hadn't recognized her. Let me add to that bit of dialogue at the end: "Trixie?"
@Viola, Well, I never really left. I just kinda disappeared. It's been awhile. I'd just like to know mainly what's going on with Catastrophe and in this RP.
(July 8, 2017 - 7:25 am)
Hi, I'm still here! I don't have time to RP right now but I just wanted to welcome Moonshadow back to Kyngdom!!! Will Scarlet come back as well?
