Hello, it's me
Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™ RP Board
Hello, it's me
Hello, it's me again!
This is my first thread, and it's going to focus on my charrie Lycaella, her mom and her friend Nygrune. It's for following our adventures while we're not in a place or situation covered by another thread. 'We' because Ronan has asked to be Nygrune, to which of course I said yes.
Someone (I think Icy) said that B.I.G. and Catstrophe actually dislike each other. It makes sense, so... Just to let you know.
I'll begin where I left off on the Underwater Ball thread, with Lycaella and Nygrune planning to do some spying of a sort. They've asked Lycaella's mom to show them her notes, so I'll fast-forward to that.
Lycaella~
"Oh, so you're giving them their shadows back?"
We are sitting on a rug in my mom's room, reading her notes. I can't make sense of half the words, but she tells Nygrune and I what it means. Apparently, Catastrophe has found a way to separate shadows from their owners' bodies, and to keep him from creating a shadow army and destroying everything, B.I.G. has been researching it. They've managed to figure out how he did it, and are testing ways to reattach the shadows to their owners.
"Well, that's one way of putting it," my mom says. "We believe it will be beneficial to all of Kyngdom."
"I don't really understand this one... How would they sew them back on?" I ask.
"I believe it's with a special sort of thread, Ella," Mom says. "Let's see now..."
Nygrune finds it first. "A needle made from the bone of a magic or mythical being, preferably with thread also made from a magical material."
"Yes," my mom says, "Although personally I think that a binding spell shows more promise." I raise an eyebrow. She doesn't usually like magic this much. Out of nowhere, I yawn. Mom and Nygrune look at me like I'm disrupting something.
"Sorry," I say. "I'm getting kind of tired. You two can keep reading, I don't mind."
My mom nods. I hear her calling after me as I leave the room.
"Remember to brush your teeth!"
~End RP.
It actually is getting kind of late, so I should go. I hope this works out.

You're welcome!
(August 31, 2017 - 10:27 pm)
I don't really have the energy to RP right now, but Trixie, feel free to go ahead and write more if you want to.
(September 3, 2017 - 3:15 pm)
Alright, will do!

Nieke~
Trixie and Ben look at me, waiting for an answer. I think about it.
"Etoile is probably the only one who could really help Hazel... Unless..."
"Unless?" Ben prompts.
"She used magic, right? So we just have to find another magic user. I don't practice it myself, and I think Alex's magic is different, but there are others. Elves, right?"
"There are elves in middle Kyngdom," Trixie offers.
"Then let's go find them. And when we do, we can ask them to help Hazel."
"Right now?" Ben asks. I hesitate.
"If we wait, we could get our strength up and think everything through, but Jaaws could come back, and we'd be vulnerable. If we go now, Hazel will be unconscious, but that will mean Jaaws can't make her escape or try to hurt us. But that would also mean dragging or carrying her until she wakes up, and then we'll either have to make her walk or knock her out again."
We all sit in silence for a few minutes. I look up at the sky.
"It'll be dawn in a few hours. Let's stay here for a little while, rest and figure out where to go and how to get there, pack up so we can leave quickly if we have to. If Hazel wakes up, knock her out again. If Jaaws comes back, run."
Trixie and Ben agree, and we settle down to pack, plan, rest, and watch.
~Okay. Sorry it wasn't very long, but I hope this helps and I wasn't too controlling. I was thinking, the Elites' goal is to uncover information about Jaaws, specifically her weaknesses. Etoile's magic did a little something to help us, so maybe really strong elf magic is a way to weaken and/or protect against Jaaws. I was thinking one of our charries could come to that conclusion if we successfully find elves and they successfully get Jaaws out of Hazel. Also, Nieke is probably going to gag Hazel if she wakes up again.

I've found myself suddenly swamped with things to do, so I'm afraid RPing will be delayed for me. Trixie, you can take the next bit if you want.
(September 18, 2017 - 7:32 pm)
Hey, so I was wondering if Norah could kind of jump in here? If you want information about her and all those records and stuff, I posted on the Who's here? thread. She is 70% elf, 30% human, and she is a Healer who specializes in potions and magic. Oh, and she also wants to join the Elites. She could maybe try to heal Hazel, at least back to normal consciousness? I don't know, it's your guys' call. :)
(September 20, 2017 - 7:28 am)
Sure, you can join, but would it be all right if we maybe came to her? Like, we went to middle Kyngdom and stumbled into you? The Elites' current location isn't exactly public knowledge. I'd also like to make sure Trixie is okay with the plan. And of course Hazel's author will have to be around if we want to wake her up. But yeah, that'd be fine.
(September 20, 2017 - 3:17 pm)
That sounds great! Thank you for answering so quickly. TOP!
(September 21, 2017 - 4:59 pm)
That sounds great! Do we know what's up with Hazel?
(September 21, 2017 - 6:40 pm)
Awesome! Glad it's okay with you guys. :D
(September 22, 2017 - 1:19 pm)
So far, Hazel hasn't woken up and is presumably still hypnotized.
(September 25, 2017 - 10:10 am)
A very short post just so I'll get back into writing. I'm going to skip to where we meet Norah if that's okay.
~Trixie~
I stopped and wiped my forehead. Come on, Etoile, I thought. Why did you have to take your horse? This would be so much easier if he were here!
"You okay, Trixie?" Ben said from behind me. "I can take a turn pulling if you want." I glanced nehind me and replied
"Naw, I'm good. Juist wishing Etoile had left her horse." He laughed.
"Yeah, that would make pulling The Hunk of Junk way easier." He patted the cart that stood between us affectionately. The Hunk of Junk was the nickname that had been given to the cart I had built to hold Hazel. It was way better than carrying her, but it still was hard to pull, especially on uphills like the one we were on now. I grabbed the cart handle and begain to pull again.
Right as we reached the top of the hill I noticed something was off. I couldn't tell what, but something was. I slowly put the cart down and looked at Nieke. I could tell from her face that she sensed it too. Ben opened his mouth to speak, utterly unaware. Nieke and I simultaneously held up our hands for quiet. He slowly shut his mouth. I looked at Hazel, making sure she wasn't waking up. She lay peacefully, no sign showing the number of time she had been knocked out or chloroformed. Nieke and I had been worried that we would do permanent damage it Hazel's brain by knocking her out, and we were both very grateful that Ben brought a very thorough set of chemicals. Not that chloroform was particularly good for you, but still. I noticed a slight movement in the thick trees on the sides of our path. I tried to figure out what it was, without focusing all mt attention on it. It was coming towards us, and I checked to make sure I had weapons in place. It looked like it was a roughly humanoid shape that was entirely blue. As it reached the light of the path I could see that it was some sort of humanoid creature wearing a dark blue cloak.
"Who are you?" I said in unison with the figure.
~End RP~
Yeah, I realized that this post would probably have lasted about five minutes, tops. I just wanted to write something and to bring in Norah and The Hunk of Junk.
(September 23, 2017 - 12:41 pm)
~Norah~
I walk gracefully down the forest path. It's so peaceful here, and it has an abundance of herbs for my potions. Genesis, my owl, is perched on my shoulder like a parrot on a pirate.
"Do you see any other herbs, Gen?" I ask hopefully. My satchel is full of herbs, and even though I can only fit a little more, I don't want to make a second trip.
Genesis hoots quietly. "No, I can't," she says. Suddenly, her (small XD) ears perk up. "But I hear talking."
I stop immediately and listen. I hear it too. It sounds like mostly girls...maybe a boy. Since I am mostly an Elf, my hearing skills are indubitably keen. (Out of charrie: I like saying indubitably. Sorry. XD)
I step slowly and carefully forward. I try to blend in with the shadows, but suddenly, a girl sees me. So much for being stealthy. I step back onto the path, and light engulfs me.
The girl says, "Who are you?" at the same time as me. I pull out my crystal bow as she pulls out some sort of knife (I'm sorry, I just chose randomly XD).
I step forward first. "I'm Norah," I say. "Norah O'Brien. And may I ask, again, who you are?"
"I'm Trixie." she replies. Suddenly, a squirrel steps out from behind her, surprising me.
"My name is Nieke. And this is Hazel." she points at a girl that looks unconscious.
A boy bounces forward. "And I'm Ben!"
Why are there so many people here? And why is a girl unconscious? Suddenly, Genesis pecks my head with her beak. Whoops, I forgot to introduce her.
"This is my owl, Genesis," I state flatly. Gen waves one of her wings slightly, and I continue. "What happened here?"
"It's a long story, but in a nutshell," Nieke, the squirrel, explains, "we have a friend—Hazel—who needs help. Do you have anything that we can use?"
I consider this. I just met these people, and my potions are very valuable...but they need my healing skills deeply right now. And besides, perhaps they might tell me where the Elites are. (She doesn't know who the members are right now.)
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do," I answer finally. "Do you have a cauldron or anything like that?"
They stare at each other. Well, maybe I can use my already made potions first.
~End RP~
Well, I'm sorry this is so short. I'm also sorry if I controlled them the wrong way, or if this doesn't sound like their personalities? Well, I tried, anyway. XD
(September 25, 2017 - 4:08 pm)
Nieke's a squirrel?!?! How did I miss that?
