Pheasantwithbooks created a drawing contest, which made me nostalgic for this photography contest (which I believe was also created by pheasantwithbooks, i could be wrong though)
anyways, if you're new here, these are the rules-
~the judge gives out a theme each round and sets a deadline for the pictures to be in by
~the participants follow the theme and submit their pictures
~the judge ranks the pictures, sometimes giving them feedback
~whoever comes in 1st gets to be the next judge!
i'll be the first judge, and i'll start with a very generic theme, nature! pictures will be due on February 28th.

Welp-I'm just entering for the fun of it. I know I won't win. *shrug* I'm not to good at photography, (in fact, if you guys have any tips for me, that would be FANTASTIC!!) But here's my entry: (I'm assuming that textures are supposed to go you feel as if you are touching the object...?)

This was really difficult to judge....but here you go!
5th place: Joan B. of Arc! I loved how close you got to the flower, but I wish the entire flower was in the picture! Also the brightness was a little low.
4th place: Theater Girl! I really liked how the rocks look altogether! The picture was a little blurry though, and I didn't see a lot of the texture of the rocks.
3rd place: Twirlgurl! The fact that you could see the water droplets on the flowers was really cool. Although it is slightly blurry and the whole flower is not on the shot, I still liked it.
2nd place: Fleet! Wow, this whole picture looks really professional! I love everything about it: the sun peeking through, the hand, and the ice cream cone! Although I didn't see as much texture as I would have liked.
1st place: ElementGirl! I just loved this entire picture. I'm not sure specifically what I liked the best, but the textures and rocks looked really cool.
