Pheasantwithbooks created a drawing contest, which made me nostalgic for this photography contest (which I believe was also created by pheasantwithbooks, i could be wrong though)
anyways, if you're new here, these are the rules-
~the judge gives out a theme each round and sets a deadline for the pictures to be in by
~the participants follow the theme and submit their pictures
~the judge ranks the pictures, sometimes giving them feedback
~whoever comes in 1st gets to be the next judge!
i'll be the first judge, and i'll start with a very generic theme, nature! pictures will be due on February 28th.

This is my dog Sunny nobly guarding the family from the stairs XD Really tho, he does keep watch over the family and watch out for danger/other things going past outside. We adopted him when I was 6 years old.

Here’s my photo, it’s an abandoned elementary school near my actual school. Here’s the story: I had my friend over and I had just told her it was abandoned but the lights were...on. We freaked ourselves out, at least we were safe inside the car.

Here’s mine (edited). I took it yesterday, while my dad and I were hiking around Cumberland Falls (fun fact: Cumberland Falls is, I think, the second biggest waterfall in North America). The river you can see is the Cumberland River. But the real story behind this is that neat old bridge you can see between the trees. One of my ancestors on my mom’s side helped build it. I think it might have been my great-great grandfather, but I’m not entirely sure.

This picture is from when my friend and I went to the beach on the last two days of summer. We kinda got lost, and probably walked a few miles on the beach looking for seashells. We got bit by horse flies, like a lot of them and it wasn't fun. And THEN my friend made me carry twenty seashells and we didn't even get to keep them. It was um- great?

So this photo is on a trip with two of my friends to the Statue of Liberty. It was super fun, and we got to go to the top of the pedestal. You got an amazing view of Manhattan and the water. It was a really great trip! This photo was taken from the top of the pedestal looking up.

The story behind this is that me and my family got up at like 5 AM (super early, at least for us) and went to the beach to see sunrise. It was gorgeous.
