photography contest!
Pheasantwithbooks created a drawing contest, which made me nostalgic for this photography contest (which I believe was also created by pheasantwithbooks, i could be wrong though)
anyways, if you're new here, these are the rules-
~the judge gives out a theme each round and sets a deadline for the pictures to be in by
~the participants follow the theme and submit their pictures
~the judge ranks the pictures, sometimes giving them feedback
~whoever comes in 1st gets to be the next judge!
i'll be the first judge, and i'll start with a very generic theme, nature! pictures will be due on February 28th.
Have fun!
One more rule: ~no photos of people

Should I judge since I'm in second place?
(June 4, 2019 - 4:18 pm)
Well, it's been 5 days since I postes the results. I think it's okay for 2nd place to judge now.

Okay, cool! The new theme is shadows, and does the 12th work as a judging date for everyone or is it too soon?

That's fine with me! I thought this photo was nice because it's sort of dark and there are many shadows of the trees.

Here's a picture I took in Seville, Spain!

I AM SO SORRY I'M LATE GUYS! I've been SO busy lately.
First place: AutumnArtist! I love the way the shadow looks in this photo, and the fact that there's a very clear subject, and also that building is really pretty. What is Spain like? I'd like to visit it but I've never been able to. It looks really beautiful, especially in this photo!
Second place: TheaterGirl! I love the way that the photo leads your eyes down the path, and the shadows of the trees are really beautiful. I agree with you on the lighting, the fact that it's sort of dark makes the photo look nice. It's a little busy though, and there's no clear subject.
Third place: Coroline! I like the symmetry (did I spell that right?) in this photo-- with the two centered shelves, and also with the shadow that cuts the photo in half. However, there are enough imperfections that it's not perfectly symetrical. Like I said, I like symmetry, and if a photo has no clear subject, then it needs to be symmetrical. This photo had neither of these things. But I did like how the shelves look, and the lighting's great. I'd reccomend maybe focusing on the details of one of the shelves.

Wow, thank you Fleet! I guess I'm judging again!
The new category is... Night! This might be a little tricky because it is difficult to take pictures at night, but I want to see how you guys interpret this.
Judging date is JUNE 1ST - all pictures must be submitted by this date! Remember: don't use Photoshop or include people in your photo. Good luck!
