Welcome, fellow Choklitcl

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Choklitclan!
Welcome, fellow Choklitcl...

Welcome, fellow Choklitclan cats. If you have followed the signs, then you will know this is the place for parodying 'Warriors' Roleplay threads though stupid senseless smiley stories, false roleplays, and anything else you can think of! This isn't the place for vranting about Warriors, just for a little fun at Erin Hunter's expense. Whee! I'll do one:

Laughing Yo, I'm a cat with a home! My name is Rusty! I want to leave my perfectly comfortable and happy home for the forest where I could die!

YellAnd I am that evil cat dude who wants to kill you!

Laughing->Surprised Oh my.

YellMwhahahahahahahahaha!

Surprised->SmileAnyway, I will train to become a warrior! *becomes warrior* Whee!!!

Yell*is exiled*

SmileDearie me, it appears I have won and summarized most of the Warriors series!

Um, if this is sarcasm, I applaud you!

If it is not, I enjoyed the first six books. I also enjoy poking fun at things I enjoy... and Twilight, but only because Twilight lends itself to fun-poking. So... Chill pill?

This is why I think maybe we should stop?

I dunno. I *think* A cat's post might have been meant sarcastically, but... Even if it was perfectly serious, I personally have a problem with ceasing in a bit of harmless fun just because a diehard fan told us we were "meanies."

Like, Harry Potter? I love that series, but I make fun of it all the time.

Sweeney Todd? I love that even more, but I make fun of it... all the time.

The point being, just because one is a fan of something, doesn't mean everyone else is; diehard fans need to be aware of this, and accept that the object of their fandom is not necessarily "good literature" (*coughtwilightcough*). Now, I'm not saying Warriors isn't "good literature"... I just think it's an example of Jumping the Shark. I mean, how many books are there now? Like, 20?

So, bottom line: A cat is either being sarcastic, or overreacting and being really, really intolerant, in which case I don't think we should stop just because someone knowingly went on to a parody thread, and got all upset because they didn't like the parodies. This ain't Fahrenheit 451- just because it offends one oversensitive person doesn't mean we have to completely censor it. Yes?

I was just being annoying, and don't think Warriors are that good, but I like them. Anyway, go on, it's funny!!

P.S. The whole "meany" thing was just to be random and weird. Wink

@ A cat: Couldn't we just as easily say that you're mean for interrupting a thread meant NOT to worship Erin Hunter/cats? If you like Warriors, you can post on the, um... what, EIGHT??!! Warriors threads that currently exist. But you don't have to pollute a thread that is speifically NOT meant for adoration of elementally named felines.

Was that a little harsh...?

WORRIERS

by Erin Hunter

Hi. I am Rustyfirepawheartstar. I am:

a) in trouble for breaking the warrior code*

b) being hunted by a mad killer

c) in a fight with my girlfriend, best friend, etc.

d) afraid of the twolegs who are ripping up my home

e) briefly grieving for the 3+ important cats and the 7+ unimportant cats that die in every book

f) worried about my offspring, nephew, spouse, all of whom are engaging in breaking the warrior code*

g) breaking the warrior code*

h) dying about once in each book, but only after I get my nine lives

i) hoping that the three other clan leaders, all of whom, at some point, hate my guts, don't attack

j. trying to manage all other cats' relationships

k. wondering about what simple to understand prophecies mean

l. trying to decide if I should reveal important secrets about my clan

m. there're many more!!

* including, but not limited to trespassing, murder, becoming a half-kittypet, being part of a prophecy to destroy your clan, cat atheism, giving away one's children, relationships in other clans, changing clans, helping other clans, creating new clans, unnecessary killing, etc, etc.

Now do you know why it should be called WORRIERS? No wonder no one dies of old age!

All due respect. Any resemblance to the actual Warriors series is purely intentional. :)
