Written? Kitten!

Written? Kitten!

I've been using this for NaNo a lot recently. I find it's more helpful than Write or Die since you get rewarded instead of not-punished and I like that. :) I discovered a few days ago on the NaNo forums and since then, I've been pretty happy. I'm behind by a few thousand though on my word count so ciao! (and does anyone else use W?K! or Write or Die?)

Discworld/Sherlock Holmes

Discworld/Sherlock Holmes, or: I totally have a life, it's just that it consists of writing nonsensical crossovers when I should be working on the novel. Yes.

Put-your-character-in-a-random-place-where-they-all-hate-each-other-for-reasons-unknown-and-let-them-fight-it-out thread!

I've seen threads SIMILAR to this, but they don't all hate each other for reasons unknown and fight it out between themselves.

Poetry Thread!

Poetry Thread!

My poetry! It probably all sucks! But oh well!

This is just poetry that has been written by me in tha past few years. I've posted it on several writing websites and such, but it's not like it ever comes to anything. It's just kind of there. So, I've decided to give it a new life! Please critique and/or post your own poetry, I DON'T CARE.

A Muddy Clarity

It's a way of saying to me

The mirror hides hideous

Shows what is not meant to be

I would like

I would like to make a new GunkuSuh RP. Kat made one a while ago, but then it was vacation time and a whole lot of people left and it died.

GenkuSuh is a boarding school in the desert kingdom of Kyria. So, we'll just improvise form there. Here's a little information about the place. You have to wear uniforms.

Just a critique, please. When I post the next part, it will probably be directly under the first post made on this thread. (I try to keep things together.)

I'm bored and

I'm bored and afraid that if I take my online English quiz now, I'm gonna fail it. So, I am going to start a story.

Thumpbump Thumpbump Thumpbump

My pulse rushes through my ears as I race to the water. Must. Escape. Captor. If I shapeshift now, the human will know what I am for sure; but if I can just turn into water under the waves, move away from the coast, then transform again, I should be safe.

Last Friday, I

Last Friday, I rather foolishly stayed up till four am doodling, and ended up with a very strange Discworld/Twilight comic in which Margolotta showed up at the baseball game (courtesy of Time Lord!Vetinari, natch) instead of James and Co.

And the idea wouldn't leave me alone in the morning, so I'm writing a play. Of sorts. It is not actually finished yet, but I am enjoying myself muchly.

This is why my brain needs a baby sitter.

In Jonathan Lethem's

In Jonathan Lethem's pep talk for NaNo, he mentioned something very very helpful: "Raymond Chandler said that when he was at a loss for a plot development he'd have a man walk through a doorway with a gun in his hand. Good advice I've heeded a hundred times or more, but it wasn't the doorway, it was the gun that might solve your problem. " -Jonathan Lethem

I just found

I just found the link to an old RP that died and was lost in the sad, dark, pages of the Inkwell. I'm posting the link here. I think everybuggy should read it, it's really good! I wasn't in it, but congrats to the people who were in it, those of them who still post. :)
