So, I have

So, I have this idea for a story. It's not a plot so much as a deconstruction of the concept of self-inserts or author avatars (a la Bella Swan).

The idea is that the protagonist is a self-insert of me, or caricature thereof anyway, who, over the course of the story, gradually becomes self-aware (i.e. realizes that she's a self-insert in a story that she has absolutely no power over). This, naturally, drives her insane and negatively impacts the story as a whole.

I think I

I think I just finished reading my 2011 NaNovel. My eyes are still burning. ._.

So some things I found out:

1) The names of one of the protagonists and the main antagonist are confusingly similar.

2) I hate my main charrie.

3) The charrie who I thought was oh-so BA is actually a very annoying, stuck-up person.

4) My plot is terrible and full of a bunch of unnecessary stuff.

What is your

What is your favorite genre of story to write? My fav is old-fashioned mystery, like 19th-century Nancy Drew crossed with Agatha Christie.

This is getting

This is getting a bit ridiculous.

Anyone remember the thrice-cursed Tom Riddle centric HP fanfiction I've been writing and rewriting for forever? And finally managed to complete a book and a half of?

Well.

I started over again. because it was getting annoying and wrong and wasn't cohesive and didn't make any sense and none of the characterization was consistent and everything was hazy and it was just terrible whyyyyyyy.

Yes. I know. I know. It's ridiculous.

I have sort

I have sort of an odd question.

One of my various ongoing writing projects involves a fairly young character experiencing a crush/infatuation for the first time and I'm attempting to describe it from her point of view.

Only...

Comic time! This

Comic time! This thread is for Smiley-face comic artists!

Only this time it's different. I start, then you add on! Once someone says 'THE END!' the story is over and we start Part 2.

Our characters will be Bob, Lucy, and John. the rest we'll use to show their different expressions.

PART 1: MEET THE CHARACTER IN ODD WAYS.

Cool

Who won NaNo?

Who won NaNo? I did for the second time in a row! :D And what's even better is that I actually finished my novel. And I started on another one!

And now I'm going to go off and read it. Wish me luck. :P

Today I finished

Today I finished my NaNovel, but I still have 9000+ words to go, so I started another one. I like this one much better, and it's a lot easier to write since it's in the contemporary era. Am I the only one who's writing two NaNovels this year?
