Funny Stories

Funny Stories

Okay, this is the new idea here.

We combine three things into a story. We can all suggest our own three things we can combine. I'm going to start us off with these three things:

1. A disastrous rocket launch

2. An angry cow

3. A toothpaste commercial

All these things must have a significant role in the story. I'll write my own later, cause I need to think of a good way to mix these together.

There are a lot of RPs going on right now, and since I'm not part of one and it would be too late to join, I thought of making one. It's about magical/mythical beings who fight the opposing team. If you join please make a bio like the one I am about to do.

Finkleberries

Finkleberries

I created the Finkleberries in my Backstories thread. Then I figured maybe the Finkleberries were big enough to deserve their own thread. To get us started, here are reproductions of the three comments I wrote about them.

Top and Poke

by M. T. L. Beddington

Thomas Beddington stared at the computer screen in his zombified mode. Thomas was his real name, but he went by Top. Top was more computer than man, and rarely spoke. He spent many hours staring at a computer screen. There was one webiste he liked to visit above all others; cricket mag kids. com/ chatterbox/. He submitted comments under the name "Top" always ony using the word "top."

Character ER!

Character ER!

We had one of these a few years back, started by the luvverly TNÖ. the idea was basically to "rent out" characters that you had problems with, didn't like anymore, or were turning into Mary Sues, with advice on de-Sueifying prevalent throughout.

I seek to revive that thread with my darling Katrina who I kind of want to strangle sometimes. I'm looking for some help with making her a more likeable protagonist, or, barring that, giving her a suitably extreme situation for her to work through.

A great idea

A great idea

So I had a great idea. A man wakes up with no memory and goes about for a while before realizing he's dead. What do you think should happen next?

I thought maybe he should find out that the villain orchestrated his death or something and then must stop him, but that seems a bit... obvious.

Ok I know

Ok I know this may cause some of you to want to kill me but WHAT IS NANO and NANOWRIMO and all that other stuff.

We're happy to answer questions, Tovah. National Novel Writing Month (NANO or NANOWRIMO) is a fun approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing
on November 1. The goal is to write a 50,000 word, (approximately 175
page) novel by 11:59:59, November 30.

There's also a Nano camp in April. Some Chatterboxers are planning for that now.
