Top and Poke
by M. T. L. Beddington
Thomas Beddington stared at the computer screen in his zombified mode. Thomas was his real name, but he went by Top. Top was more computer than man, and rarely spoke. He spent many hours staring at a computer screen. There was one webiste he liked to visit above all others; cricket mag kids. com/ chatterbox/. He submitted comments under the name "Top" always ony using the word "top."
Top had a sister named Pricillia, who also visited the same webiste as he, but posted under the name "Poke," virtually poking people to get their attention and to keep threads from dying.
Top and Poke became ledgends of the chatterboxers. Soon, they were not the only ones posting as "Top" and "Poke." Top, feeling betrayed by his kin, left the webiste. Poke soon followed. The terms "Top" and "poke" still live on in the chatterbox, and the Beddingtopn siblings had little idea of the impact they left.
The End

I like it! I do actually wonder how top and poke came to be.

Thanks.
Well, someone needed to create a therory of how "top" and "poke" came to be, why not myself?

The crazy thing is I was literally just talking about this to Scarlett, wondering randomly if there was a CBer named "top" who just topped all the threads. And then this happened. Weird.
Now explain "goop".

Goop is Joe Dosie-Do.
I occasionally top stuff.

Goop is a more recent development...

Ooh! Agreed! I love it!
