Amberwood Vignettes
Well, this is a thing that occured to me a long time ago and I took it through several renovations before settling on the idea of an ensemble cast with short passages from each characters' point of view. I'll give you the lowdown:

Welcome! I am
Welcome! I am your host, Magda S.'s bro, and I have a cool story to tell you all! I shall begin when this sentence is finished.
Setting: The floating city of Metoopolis
Time: 2038
Characters: Bob the Cavedude, Rudger Kilobyte, and some new ones I haven't invented yet, since I'm making up this story as I go along.

I've got this
I've got this idea for a story, but it's not complete. Here it is:
Far, far away, there is a land with everything a couch potato could dream of. Endless TV watching, TV dinners, popcorn, comfy recliners & more. But it comes with a price....
That's all I thought of so far. The thing is, I can't think of what the price should be! I was thinking maybe people's souls (like to the devil), is that a bit too used up?
Anyway, I want to know if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks!

Has anybody done
Has anybody done NaNoWriMo 2012? I did, and I won. My novel is still coming from the publishing place, though. It's really fun, but it's only in November. November is awesome!

Palindromes!
Palindromes!
Has anyone heard of palindromes? They are a word or group of words that can read either left to right or right to left and still say the same thing.
I want to see how many palindromes we can make up. So, please post what you find!
1. Dennis sinned.
2. Do geese see God?
3. Was it a car or car I saw.
4. A man a plan a canal Panama.
5. Madam I'm Adam.
(4 and 5 are old ones from Admin.)

Another story chain!
Okay, so a friend and I started writing a story a long time ago, and we thought it'd be cool to see where it went if we posted its beginning on Chatterbox. So here it is. :)

On writing villains.
On writing villains.
I can't be the only one who adores writing evil characters, can I? They're just so fascinating and kind of cathartic.

For necessary purposes.
For necessary purposes.
Who here writes, I mean seriously writes? As in, you may have a number of works in the process, maybe one completed, or you genuinely hope to get published some day and work towards that?

For a writing
For a writing lab thing I had in school, I had to write a poem about a painting. I forgot what type of poetry it is, I think it is Ekpharsitic Poetry, I think. I wrote one about the painting "Paradise (Adam and Eve)" by Peter Paul Rubens and I just really wanted to share it. Look it up, and then look at it while reading this!
