A great idea
So I had a great idea. A man wakes up with no memory and goes about for a while before realizing he's dead. What do you think should happen next?
I thought maybe he should find out that the villain orchestrated his death or something and then must stop him, but that seems a bit... obvious.

What does that video game have to do with it?

Well, isn't that what happens to Neku? Oh never mind.

It's a unique plot, but I don't think a villain would be the best choice to go on. What type of genre were you thinking of?

I don't know. Maybe a mystery/suspense/drama thing. Like "A guy finds his life in his death" or something like that.

Do you have any other options besides the villian thing?

I have the idea that he just needs to find out who he was in order to "restore his soul" or something. Like, he can't move on until he solves his problems. What if I combined both?

That could make for a great story! Are you going to write it in the near future?

Maybe. I'll bookmark this thread for later.

You could do like A Christmas Carol sort of thing. The guy wakes up, discovers he's dead, doesn't know why. Later discovers it's about 50 years AFTER when he lived. Finds his great grandson. Realizes his own acts still affect the future. Finds a way to communicate with his grandson, to help him (cause the dead guy's actions affected the grandson now) helps him, and therefore, corrects what he did so long ago. Just a thought...

That is an interesting idea. I sort of like it!
