Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Poetry Contest

Poetry Contest

Well, we haven't had one of these in a while, have we? Time for a new one, I say! Welcome, resident poets!

The rules are pretty simple. I am the first judge. I will give you a theme, and you must write a poem relating to the theme. Be creative with your interpretations! I will then judge the entries by a set date, and the winner will then be the next judge, and set the next theme. And so on, and so forth.

The first theme will be... *dramatic drumroll*

Stars! Whether you chose to write about the kind of stars you wish on, or the kind that take the stage, I will be eagerly awaiting your sparkly, shiny, beautiful poems. Have them in by... Saturday, March 18. Two weeks. Sound fair?

I hope to see your poems soon!

Many Wishes

I wished upon a star last night

Up in the sky it looked so bright

A ladybug upon my hand

I wish as it begins to land

A four leaf clover in the grass

I go to pick it but, alas;

My wishes weren't all meant for me

But give me just one more, you'll see...

I am so sorry! I haven't been able to go on recently, very busy. I'll post the results in a minute.

Ok, there were only four entries, so everyone placed!

Special mention: Kitten - I really liked your creative thinking! I would never have thought of it!

Third Place: Lucy B. - your poem was really cute, and it really made me smile!

Second Place: Quill - I had a really hard time judging between your poem and Rosebud's. Yours is really amazing!

And First place... drumroll please...

ROSEBUD!!!

I really love your poem! It has a lot of depth, and I really enjoyed reading it!

Great! So since Rose bud's already judged once, should Quill judge next?

No! Don't let this thread die! Quill, what's the new theme and deadline?

Hm, maybe Quill's not around. How about we wait until Saturday and then if she hasn't posted by then, Lucy can judge?

Shalt I begin?  I guess so, it's Sunday here.

The theme for this is Memory.  Good memories, bad memories, faulty memory, you name it!  It just has to have to do with memory.  Good luck, fellow poets!

Yay! When's the deadline?
