Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Poetry Contest

Poetry Contest

Well, we haven't had one of these in a while, have we? Time for a new one, I say! Welcome, resident poets!

The rules are pretty simple. I am the first judge. I will give you a theme, and you must write a poem relating to the theme. Be creative with your interpretations! I will then judge the entries by a set date, and the winner will then be the next judge, and set the next theme. And so on, and so forth.

The first theme will be... *dramatic drumroll*

Stars! Whether you chose to write about the kind of stars you wish on, or the kind that take the stage, I will be eagerly awaiting your sparkly, shiny, beautiful poems. Have them in by... Saturday, March 18. Two weeks. Sound fair?

I hope to see your poems soon!

If Ruby doesn't post by tomorrow, I'll drop my poem out of the competition and judge on Friday, if that's all right with everyone.

I'm fine with that.

I am too.

I'm fine with that, if it's okay with Booksy and Abi, since they were 2nd place, and you were third.

That's fine with me, Rose bud. Or I could judge since I didn't enter the contest, so you wouldn't have to pull out your poem.

You're welcome to judge Abi! I just stepped up b/c I was the original creator of the poetry contest chain of threads on CaC, and I couldn't bear  to let this one die like the other one.

I'm fine with whoever judges.

I want another theme for a poem, so can someone just judge? It seems that no one really cares who does it, so one of you (Abigail S or Rose bud) just do it.

If neither of them posts by Wednesday morning, can I just post a theme and all? Or someone else who hasn't judged yet can do it.

Or even just pick a new theme maybe?

Okay, I'm tired of waiting around. Here's my judging results. I'm short on time right now so I'm only going to say who's in which places because I don't have time to sing your praise. And I'm sorry if anybody else wanted to judge and I didn't see your post yet.

Everbody had great poems and I had a hard time judging. If I could have done it, I would have tied several of you for first place.

And I just want you to know that I am not being biased by religion by putting Leeli in first place. I honestly liked her poem and that's that.

Honorable mention: Lucy B.

Third place: Jarvis. And same as I said for Leeli.

Second place: September and Bluebird tied.

First place: Leeli

There you go. Leeli, have at it.
