In its dying moments, SOCS merged with BIG, despite the fact that they'd been enemies for a time. BIG's cadet academy had already been established, but suddenly BIG had a bunch of experiments left over from SOCS. BIG wasn't so evil to keep up something so unethical as experimentation on live subjects… but these were the leftovers. The war is getting long, hard. They're starting to justify the use of experiments in hopes of creating stronger, genetically enhanced soldiers.
Meanwhile, BIG Cadet Academy for the Valiant is accepting more and more students at an alarming rate. Feeding children as young as eleven propaganda, teaching them to fight, and then placing them on the battlefield or into labs as soon as they come of age, it seems as though BIG is getting more desperate (and ruthless) than ever before…

Here is the recreated (and hopefully better) version of the original boarding school roleplay. The very basic story is summarized above, but I'll put it in clearer terms. The story is that now that SOCS, a very evil group of scientists who used to experiment on live beings, has been destroyed, BIG has been left with their experiments. At first, they were only using the leftovers, but they have now grown so desperate for power in the war that they are creating more experiments in an effort to make stronger soldiers. BIG also has a boarding school for students (BIG Cadet Academy for the Valiant or BCAftV) who will either fight or do science for them when they graduate. Mostly students learn propaganda about BIG, science, and combat skills, although all of the core classes are more or less there. At the academy, there is a lab. Some experiments are living in the lab for the students to use as test subjects in their lessons. But when a group of students becomes aware of these experiments plot for escape, they have to decide if they want to help or not. This roleplay will be about the days leading up to a small rebellion from students and experiments at BIG. If you have a half-baked, undeveloped idea for a character, don't worry because this is a perfect place for character development!
Your character can be a student or an experiment. While there is no limited number of characters, we ask that there only be up to eight experiments right now for smoothness and believability. Please consider if you will have time to commit to this roleplay before you join, especially if you're making an experiment character. Two of my characters are experiments, which leaves six experiment slots left as of right now. You don't need to have been in the old roleplay to join this one! If you were in the original roleplay, you can keep your character or make a new one. I'm also going to give you first dibs on experiment slots if you already had an experiment character for the next few days; that only seems fair.

"I have writing and comprehension next," Leskie said. "Ah, I hope this doesn't sound rude, but what do you do after lab, Avi?"
"Hmm well it kinda depends," Avi replied after a moment. "Sometimes if there was a big project done on us, or if we've been naughty, or the guards are in a bad mood, they put us in our solitary cells for a bit. Otherwise we get to hang out with the other experiments I think. It's been a while!" he added brightly. "I really hope I can talk to Zinnie."
"Zinnie...? That's the one with Aly and Lee, right?" Relven asked, looking across at the three clustered together. "And you mentioned Via. Have you known them for long?"

"Pretty cool, huh?" Lee asked the experiment. "I mixed a special coating into the pigment so the colors will fade in thirty minutes, but the information we've collected will probably help Catastrophe and his troops so much!!"
Lee wrote her notes down, and Aly quickly wrote hers down as well. They both handed their reports to Mx. Frost.
"It was a pleasure being your partner!" Lee smiled, extending a hand to her. "What's your next class?"
"I really enjoyed being your partner as well," Aly said, smiling back. "I have archery next. What about you?"

Leskie followed Relven's gaze, seeing Aly and Lee turning in their reports, as she continued listening to the current conversation.

i finally found Win's character sheet so i can finally answer. anyway WIN DEFINTELY WIN DEFINITELY WIN DEFINITELY. i need to do a new character sheet for Castor a lot about aem has changed... i might be able to make aem 14 or 15 if you'd be interested in doing a qpr actually, but i don't know if they'll even be able to interact that much so. what sort of interactions would you want them to have? actually i kind of like the idea of Castor being 15... but idk. they could also be more "standard" friends. i definitely think Castor would enjoy trying to "out-pun" each other. like trying to make the worst possible pun. so punbelievably punbearable it's punfeasibly punful (painful). (i'm so sorry.) anyway.

Avi shrugged. "I don't really know the students but Zinnie has wings, and they're a bit older than I am." He tried to look in Zinnie's direction so his partners could see who they were. "I've known them a while, yeah. Via's been here most of her life and Zinnie's been here a fair amount of years. They're my best friend."
He stopped, realizing he'd been rambling on for a while about a topic they wouldn't know or care about. Avi bit the inside of his cheek.

"That's great," Rel said. "Especially that you have a best friend. I suppose you know most of the, um, experiments...?" It didn't seem very nice to call them experiments, but what else was he supposed to call them?

"Math," Lee replied, dropping her hand. Aly felt like she should've taken it earlier, but it was too late. "I should probably go; you know how Mr. Moore is when people are late," she said. "See you around?"
"See you," Aly nodded. The bell rang and she packed her things before making her way over to the archery range.

"Mmm I guess." Avi noticed Relven's hesitation but stayed nonchalant. "I kinda keep to myself a bit. Besides Zinnie and Via. Everybody's got a story, and most don't want to share. I get it. But I'm probably one of the more vocal out of our group."
They nodded.
"Sorry to interrupt, but should we turn in our results to Mx. Frost? The bell might ring soon." Leskie asked.
"Oh." Avi felt a slight pang of sadness. It was so great and he didn't want it to end. "Yeah probably. Go ahead."

"I suppose we should," Relven said. "But if you'd like, Avi, we can work with you again tomorrow - at any rate, I can." He glanced at Leskie, fairly sure that she'd agree too. "However you like, but I'd love to be together some more." He gathered his notes together - there weren't that many of them, unfortunately.

Avi smiled and felt the butterflies in his stomach go crazy. "I would." he said quietly. He was opening his emotions to these two very fast, but it was ok.
