~A frilled shark

Deep in an unknown world, something stirred.

Black against black in the darkness of the deepest depths of the sea.

It was so dark, not even one who could see in night would be able to see the instrument laying in the crevices of the mouth to a cave.

Yet a creature stirred.

This creature seemed to be blind, a haze of white covered their eyes. Yet as it swam closer, it could sense the power this instrument held. It could see a future where this instrument would hold the world in it's talons again.

It swam closer to the instrument. It's gills pulsed in and out, in and out, the strong sense of power growing closer at the second. The future of unlimited power flashed through it's mind, it's vision, and it knew that once it held the instrument in it's jaws, it's whole life would be impacted by it.

It would hold unlimited Power.

~A wolf

The time was near. We knew the time was coming. In our pack, we held a special power, in the form of an instrument.

The Guardian knew the time was coming, as she told. Soon the instrument would be played, in the lone voice of a wolf's howl, and a creature would emerge.

It was right. We knew now the creature inside was no evil. It was meant to fight the darkness that had overcome Kyndom, out forests, our lands.

It was time.

The Power of Howl must be released.

We must fight back to the darkness corrupting our world.

~Sylvia

In the forest, light streamed down into a valley, a small circular valley, peaceful with only crickets humming softly in the grass.

It was a hidden valley. No one of bad intents could get past the barrier of life and brair that protected the creature inside.

The creatures, actually.

Sylvia...and Sylvia's foal.

He had grown fast. Sylvia knew better then anyone else that horses weren't supposed to grow this fast. Yet here he was, Sylvia's foal, a little more then half the size of his mother.

But of course, her mother was not as big as she usually is, and a horn was missing from atop her head. Unlike her beautiful son, with a black horn that matched his hooves and reflected off his silver eyes.

He laughed and chased crickets in the sunbeams. Everything was beautiful. It was peaceful. The only thing Sylvia would ever care about was her son. The Powers didn't exist to her anymore. Her siblings were nothing in the light of a creature so pure.

He jumped into the air, snapping at a cricket, before falling down to his back, laughing. Sylvia smiled.

And then the brair surrounding the valley rustled, whispering slightly in the wind. Sylvia stood up, alarmed. So did her son, flicking his ears back at her. She neighed, stomping her hooves, and he looked back before coming to hide behind her flank, pawing the ground softly.

The whole barrier seemed to shake as a creature pulled itself through the end opposite her. It was a human. With icy-blond hair, strange blue eyes, like chips of ice, and striking white skin.

Sylvia blinked at her for a moment. This girl was all too familiar. "Celesti...?" She whispered in disbelief, taking a shaking step forward. "But...it can't be..."

The girl shook her head. "Sylvia, I am Icy. The descendant of the PowerFriend, your mother...Celesti.  I've come to tell you that the Powers are in grave danger. You are in grave danger. They need you."

~Catastrophe

Live was boaring for a boy king. Well, an old boy king.

He was yet to become king of this time, but his council was working on it. They were talking it out. Which Catastrophe thought was stupid. Why couldn't they just take it over with violence? It was faster.

Though he remembered that wasn't how he first earned the rule of Kyndom. He remembered in order to rule, he had to gain the respect of the people.

The boy king sighed.

He reached up to where his bird, the magnificent creature who was drawn to Catastrophe and his power, his hunger for war, was perched. The bird was gazing out the window, as he often did.

"Hello, Enyo. Do you wish to fly today?" He called, brushing his fingers through the large bird's feathers.

The bird looked down at him with his usual 'I'm better then you' expression, before looking back up at the window. Catastrophe smiled, adjusting his position on his uncomfortable throne to look up at the bird. "That was a yes, I presume. No bird in it's right mind would surpass a chance to fly."

He stood up and offered his arm to the large bird, about the size of an overgrown hawk. The bird glanced at him, before stepping onto his arm. His surpiroty almost matched the way Catastrophe felt. Except, Catastrophe really was supiorer to everyone else. He was the only creature who had ever killed both a Sideaffected power and a Power. All of the Powers, actually.

And the only creature who would do it again. And destroy them for good.

He walked the bird to his balconey overlooking all of Kyndom. You could see the decoy forest, the towns around it, the main city of Kyndom, the ocean sparkling on the horizon, and even the Layberanth Tunnles far away.

His castle was hidden on a mountain streatching high over all of Kyndom. He was glad his sight was so keen, or else he wouldn't be able to see his land streaching all around him.

This castle was so well hidden or worshiped (whichever one was fine with him) that in the thousands of years that he had been gone, his castle had stayed up. Now his followers were replacing the old wood and stone, making it as perfect and stronge as it was a thousand years ago.

He opened the door and stepped up onto the balconey. He breathed in the air before lifting up his arm to release his bird.

It flew out into the air, the sun glimmering off of the firey red and yellow colors of the feathers. Of his bird.

His Song of War Bird.

~Whist

I slept in a cloud of mist. But my eyes were alert. Through them I watched Jaaws as a cricket, pirched silently in the cover of leaves. Our argument over the false Power of Howl was still fresh. Through another I watched my own back, so any surprise attacks wouldn't fase me. And through another, I watched the still forms of the Powers, controlled by both me and Jaaws.

I felt a shiver of joy at that. I controled the Powers now. Not Jaaws. Though if we hadn't worked together, neither would be able to control them. I guess that was the only good thing about working with a witch of a dragon.

And then, I saw I sight I haden't seen for a thousand years.

Through an owl watching the sky, I saw a bird the color of fire.

I sat up so suddenly I saw Jaaws head shoot up. "Enyo." I whispered out to the mist. "Enyo is back. Enyo has found us."

Hello Kyndom! Write as any one or all of your charries here. This thread is for making connections with other charries and the rest of Kyndom.

Some quick questions...what is Sylvia's foal's name? I just guessed on what he looked like and acted like.

Also Moonshadow, I hope I got everything about your pack right.

I don't currently know where Catastrophe is, this just seemed the most likley.

This is ment to move the plot foward, I have every right to RP as everyone I just RPed as. Scylla, if you ever come back, I'm sorry if you didn't want that to happen, but it's been a few months of you not responding and the plot must move fowards!

Whisper looks stunning, Kimiko looks abslutly beutifull, Machali is gawking at Kimiko, and Pani, oh Pani, is staring directly at me.

"No no no no no" I say "I am NOT getting dressed up Pani! Don't you even think about it!"

"Aw come on Moonlight! It would be fun!" Kimiko says trying to convince me

"What would she have for a pather?" I ask "Anyway you should dress up Machali he probobly wants to impress someone!" If I could wiggle my eyebrows i really would.

Thankfully Whisper does it for me. "I think Moonlight is right!" she says excitedly.

PAni is jumping for joy literally. Kimiko looks embarresed. Machali, he doesn't object when Pani drags him into the tent.

"If I am getting dressed up" he calls "So is Moonlight!"

Darn. Next thing i know is that Kimiko is draging me into a dressing room while the lady finds something for panthers. Looks like my luck is coming back though when the lady returns with some armour and other acsessories. Kimiko and Whisper dress me up in different outfits while Pani kepps finding stuff for Machali.

"Okay Moonlight! This is it!" Kimiko says excitedly "Come out now!"

"Do I have to?" I say back

"Yes please!!" Whisper says encouringingly

"Fine" I step out. I am wearing a violet headpiece with a silver diamond at the front and a silver cloak that i must say I have taken a liking to.

Pani squeals with happines and whisper keeps fixing my headpiece that I keep scratching away. Kimiko is waiting for Machali.

"Machali! come put now!" Pani yells.

And he does. He is wearing a navy tux with a bright blue tie. Kimiko is taken aback.

"Well he does look handsome!" PAni says. Somehow she ended up next to Kimiko.

"Pani! not now!" Kimiko says obviously embarresed.

"Anyway, let's go!" I say

Star~~

"Nakai, is that you?"

I look up, and there stands Mother. She looks surprised and overjoyed.

"Ayla!?!" He asks , surprised as well.

Ayla, my mother, a dark silver furred Dolor Felis with small white dots on her face who was currently wearing a pink top and blue jeans, runs up to him.

"I haven't seen you in forever!" She gasps.

Sorry I haven't interacted with the other RPers. I want to get myself oriented first, but I hope to participate soon. Smile

-

He whistles cheerfully as he transports the goods from their boxes. I ignore the whistling and step over, wrapping my hands around the goods and placing them on the counter one by one. There's a beautiful pearlescent unicorn horn encased in a layer of glass, a wooden imitation channeler's candlestick studded with large, smooth pearls, and a small wooden carved piece depicting two angels, the space between them occupied by a mirror.

I pause, the angelic piece held in my hands. I'm not vain. I have no reason to be. Pure curiosity alone was the reason I stared into the mirror.

My eyes were the same dusty brown. My hair had partially escaped the tan cloth that held it in place, allowing several strands of dark brown hair to become visible. My skin was slightly tanned, causing the few pale freckles I had to stand out.

I adjust the cloth around my face slightly, then set the piece down. "Seri?" He asks suddenly. "Hm?" I murmur. "Are you...at all interested in the Power?" His voice becomes hesitant as he asks.

I frown. "There's enough fakes for me at my own booth." I reply as I set a miniscule wooden mage statue on the  counter. "You think it's a fake?"

i pause. "No, not really."

He smiles as he sets a jewel-studded piece on the counter. "Maybe we can sell a Power sometime." He muses. "I bet the seller lost good men getting that. So, if we ever did go after a real Power like they did..." I pause, then grin.

"You'd be getting it."

I'm going to continue with the notion that Enyo is male. Viola?, what do you think of the SaPs looking for Sylvia at the flea market? (Hence the reason I'm RPing this here...)

Jaaws, the icy north:

Enyo, the brilliantly-plumed Song of War bird, landed upon the snowy ground with sinister, gentle grace. Each hideously clawed talon left a sheer gash in the frozen soil as Enyo settled himself patiently in this new environment, glancing calmly about.

Jaaws's neck spikes rose in greeting of her ally, both a sign of strength and a gesture of acknowledgement.

Enyo's oily feathers shrank to cover his muscular frame, glinting in the golden light of the setting sun. He looked at Jaaws with slitted pupils, cocking his head.

"I'm here." Enyo's  voice was smooth and resonant.

"So you are," Jaaws replied, pleased to see him after so long a time.

The Powers, sleeping around the edges of the clearing, stirred at the sound of voices. Enyo's hawklike features snapped to attention, regarding their forms with an almost snakelike intensity.

"Well done, you have subdued Cealani," Enyo commented. "Among many others."

Jaaws nodded. "A lot has happened in your absence."

Just then there was another flapping of feathers, and Whist appeared from the shadows. She drew level with Jaaws and greeted Enyo, seeming excited to see him as well.

"So what news from Catastrophe?" the owl breathed.

"He has reclaimed his old castle in the hidden land," began the Song of War bird. "Unbeknownst to the Resistance, he has withdrawn from the front of the lines to search for the Artifacts in secret. He has reason to believe that the Crown is no longer effective..."

Jaaws's breath stopped short. "Why? How?"

Enyo shook his head. "He doesn't know. But now he's begun searching for the Shield. Also, and I'm sure you don't know this yet, but someone is claiming to have obtained possession of the Power of Hoof."

Whist growled. "Who is it?"

"Someone in Mer," Enyo replied.

Jaaws and Whist looked at one another. "Well it's probably a fake," Jaaws spat. "What would the drum be doing all the way down there?"

---------------------

~So...having the SaPs at the flea market might make it exciting, but is it reasonable?

~And also, Jaaws still needs to meet Sylvia's foal...

~Will we still have that big fight with Jaaws and everyone at the Labyrinth? I'm working FaFA towards that point right now, on the Groups forum.

~Speaking of which, I should RP as Hazel soon.

Can they do that? I forget. It might be more advantageous if they didn't, though; use fear and their powers to chase away all the crowds, never mind what a ruckus it makes.

If they don't have any idea where Sylvia really is, they're kind of obligated to run down every lead they can find, and it's been a while since we've had mythical beasts rampaging through cities. So yes.

I still don't know much about the Labyrinth stuff, but what I do should suffice. I don't pay much attention to the Groups section, alas... I should, I suppose.

Since the flea market is dying, maybe this will help get it up again.

~Seri

"It's a fine piece." He comments to a customer that's spent at least seven minutes looking over the same object. I'm personally fantasizing about strangling the customer, but he is all patience.

"It's genuine." The customer suddenly declares joyfully.

I slam a fist into the counter. "Yes, it is. Now buy it or get out." I snap. The sad truth is that the piece isn't genuine--I faked that one myself. Took me a month to do, too.

The customer just takes their time dropping the proper amount of coins onto the counter before they clutch their precious artifact to their chest and flee into the crowd.

"That was a month of work." I mumble, sounding dejected despite the complaining tone I try to take. He laughs. "And that's a month's worth of money." He points out.

"Whatever." Hours fly by and we only sell a modest amount of goods. It's a good profit, but not what I want. I grow tired, able to doze off even through the roaring of the crowd.

And then it happens. The excitement and desperation of the crowd turns to terror. The yelling turns into screaming. Footsteps thunder against the ground. They're running.

But why?

Whisper~

Everybody looks so dapper in their getups. I smile at them. Pani beams at us, and I remember something. A gleam enters my eyes.

"I may have a friend who can tidy you up, Pani..." I dash around them. "Stay right there!" I call over my shoulder. I make my way back to the ravaged tent. Smiling, I duck into Amos's room. He had kept some odd things that he fancied for some reason. Triumph. On the wall, a gorgeous gown hangs on the wall. I grab it and run back to my friends. Pani's eyes light up when they fall on the dress. She fingers it.

"A ghost queen's dress...!" She exclaims.

Ack sorry guys I'm back!

Is Icy still on here? I sorta want her to RP with Sylvia a little bit before she sets off doing whatever it is she's going to do. (maybe they go to the Flea market? Where her son, in turn, meets Jaaws? But why would they be going there? Icy, ideas?)

Hey Hazel I think I'm gonna make a charrie for FaFa to help with the getting involved again thing. (Ill post her on the name thingy thread thingy cause why not) FaFa is against the Ressistance, right? Well, they're both fighting for the same things except...ok heres how I think of it. FaFa is like, the first wave of feminists for the womans rights. More laid back and, 'oh if we're nice they'll let us vote', while the Ressistance is more like the second wave where they're like 'we just can't sit and wait! We need this now!' So the first wave feminists hate the second wave ones cause they do things differently and get people hurt more, but make a greater impact. Thats how I see that.

Ok, now, here is the real question. Neither are fighting for the Powers, correct? They're fighting for Kyndom. I know FaFa doesn't realy like the Powers, knowing what happened with Caelani and Claaws and the Laberynth and all that jazz. Would either be willing to actually work with the Powers? I think maybe the Ressistance did at some point, and FaFa did without really knowing it, but if say, a fight broke out would they both be fighting eachother or would they team up? Depends on the belifs of the members, I guess. Hmmmm guess we'll get to that when we get to that.

Yes, I think the SAPs should go atleast check out the flea market. I was thinking that they first send in Caelani, Ayearth, and Ecio (because they can shift forms and survey it for them) while Jaaws and WHist also send in other creature's they're mind controlling behind eachother's back to keep tabs on eachother, with Enyo sitting next to them listening to everything they tell them. If things get weird, like they see a strange little black unicorn *cough cough* then they might go in there themselves and rampage, and, while they're doing this, should the Powers be set free? As in, Sylvia finds them and with Icy's convincing makes a flower that reverses the affects of the Brazen Goo and there for frees the Powers. Or should we wait for Lunee and Claaws?

Orrrr should Lunee and Claaws be activated on their own and find eachother and have this whole battle thing by themselves that ends with Claaws' exception of herself and Lunee's apology that in turn reverses the sideaffects and brings Kyndom to a short-lived peace? (and by that I mean theres still Catastrophe and maybe not really knowing what he was doing he introduces greed again because you know, that never actually left so things get out of had and Powers die for real)

Wow that was a lot of different plot ideas! I guess we'll just see where the current takes us then? Maybe it doesn't even have to end like any of these! WHo knows.........
