~A frilled shark
Deep in an unknown world, something stirred.
Black against black in the darkness of the deepest depths of the sea.
It was so dark, not even one who could see in night would be able to see the instrument laying in the crevices of the mouth to a cave.
Yet a creature stirred.
This creature seemed to be blind, a haze of white covered their eyes. Yet as it swam closer, it could sense the power this instrument held. It could see a future where this instrument would hold the world in it's talons again.
It swam closer to the instrument. It's gills pulsed in and out, in and out, the strong sense of power growing closer at the second. The future of unlimited power flashed through it's mind, it's vision, and it knew that once it held the instrument in it's jaws, it's whole life would be impacted by it.
It would hold unlimited Power.
~A wolf
The time was near. We knew the time was coming. In our pack, we held a special power, in the form of an instrument.
The Guardian knew the time was coming, as she told. Soon the instrument would be played, in the lone voice of a wolf's howl, and a creature would emerge.
It was right. We knew now the creature inside was no evil. It was meant to fight the darkness that had overcome Kyndom, out forests, our lands.
It was time.
The Power of Howl must be released.
We must fight back to the darkness corrupting our world.
~Sylvia
In the forest, light streamed down into a valley, a small circular valley, peaceful with only crickets humming softly in the grass.
It was a hidden valley. No one of bad intents could get past the barrier of life and brair that protected the creature inside.
The creatures, actually.
Sylvia...and Sylvia's foal.
He had grown fast. Sylvia knew better then anyone else that horses weren't supposed to grow this fast. Yet here he was, Sylvia's foal, a little more then half the size of his mother.
But of course, her mother was not as big as she usually is, and a horn was missing from atop her head. Unlike her beautiful son, with a black horn that matched his hooves and reflected off his silver eyes.
He laughed and chased crickets in the sunbeams. Everything was beautiful. It was peaceful. The only thing Sylvia would ever care about was her son. The Powers didn't exist to her anymore. Her siblings were nothing in the light of a creature so pure.
He jumped into the air, snapping at a cricket, before falling down to his back, laughing. Sylvia smiled.
And then the brair surrounding the valley rustled, whispering slightly in the wind. Sylvia stood up, alarmed. So did her son, flicking his ears back at her. She neighed, stomping her hooves, and he looked back before coming to hide behind her flank, pawing the ground softly.
The whole barrier seemed to shake as a creature pulled itself through the end opposite her. It was a human. With icy-blond hair, strange blue eyes, like chips of ice, and striking white skin.
Sylvia blinked at her for a moment. This girl was all too familiar. "Celesti...?" She whispered in disbelief, taking a shaking step forward. "But...it can't be..."
The girl shook her head. "Sylvia, I am Icy. The descendant of the PowerFriend, your mother...Celesti. I've come to tell you that the Powers are in grave danger. You are in grave danger. They need you."
~Catastrophe
Live was boaring for a boy king. Well, an old boy king.
He was yet to become king of this time, but his council was working on it. They were talking it out. Which Catastrophe thought was stupid. Why couldn't they just take it over with violence? It was faster.
Though he remembered that wasn't how he first earned the rule of Kyndom. He remembered in order to rule, he had to gain the respect of the people.
The boy king sighed.
He reached up to where his bird, the magnificent creature who was drawn to Catastrophe and his power, his hunger for war, was perched. The bird was gazing out the window, as he often did.
"Hello, Enyo. Do you wish to fly today?" He called, brushing his fingers through the large bird's feathers.
The bird looked down at him with his usual 'I'm better then you' expression, before looking back up at the window. Catastrophe smiled, adjusting his position on his uncomfortable throne to look up at the bird. "That was a yes, I presume. No bird in it's right mind would surpass a chance to fly."
He stood up and offered his arm to the large bird, about the size of an overgrown hawk. The bird glanced at him, before stepping onto his arm. His surpiroty almost matched the way Catastrophe felt. Except, Catastrophe really was supiorer to everyone else. He was the only creature who had ever killed both a Sideaffected power and a Power. All of the Powers, actually.
And the only creature who would do it again. And destroy them for good.
He walked the bird to his balconey overlooking all of Kyndom. You could see the decoy forest, the towns around it, the main city of Kyndom, the ocean sparkling on the horizon, and even the Layberanth Tunnles far away.
His castle was hidden on a mountain streatching high over all of Kyndom. He was glad his sight was so keen, or else he wouldn't be able to see his land streaching all around him.
This castle was so well hidden or worshiped (whichever one was fine with him) that in the thousands of years that he had been gone, his castle had stayed up. Now his followers were replacing the old wood and stone, making it as perfect and stronge as it was a thousand years ago.
He opened the door and stepped up onto the balconey. He breathed in the air before lifting up his arm to release his bird.
It flew out into the air, the sun glimmering off of the firey red and yellow colors of the feathers. Of his bird.
His Song of War Bird.
~Whist
I slept in a cloud of mist. But my eyes were alert. Through them I watched Jaaws as a cricket, pirched silently in the cover of leaves. Our argument over the false Power of Howl was still fresh. Through another I watched my own back, so any surprise attacks wouldn't fase me. And through another, I watched the still forms of the Powers, controlled by both me and Jaaws.
I felt a shiver of joy at that. I controled the Powers now. Not Jaaws. Though if we hadn't worked together, neither would be able to control them. I guess that was the only good thing about working with a witch of a dragon.
And then, I saw I sight I haden't seen for a thousand years.
Through an owl watching the sky, I saw a bird the color of fire.
I sat up so suddenly I saw Jaaws head shoot up. "Enyo." I whispered out to the mist. "Enyo is back. Enyo has found us."

Hello Kyndom! Write as any one or all of your charries here. This thread is for making connections with other charries and the rest of Kyndom.
Some quick questions...what is Sylvia's foal's name? I just guessed on what he looked like and acted like.
Also Moonshadow, I hope I got everything about your pack right.
I don't currently know where Catastrophe is, this just seemed the most likley.
This is ment to move the plot foward, I have every right to RP as everyone I just RPed as. Scylla, if you ever come back, I'm sorry if you didn't want that to happen, but it's been a few months of you not responding and the plot must move fowards!
(June 2, 2018 - 3:27 pm)
Hey, I'm leaving soon, so I don't have time to read this yet, but I have a question. I've noticed at least two posts with your name, but it's not a name I recognize. Are you new, or are you someone who was already here writing from a bunch of POVs? If the second, who are you?
Oh, I have another question. This might come across as super agressive, but I promise I totally don't mean it that way, I honestly just can't come up with a better way. You said you had the right to RP as all these charries, what gives you that right? Had you said something along the lines of "If you guys don't reply within 2 weeks we're going to take control of your charries, we need to move the plot on." Again, I'm just curious, not angry.
(June 3, 2018 - 3:26 pm)
I'm pretty sure it's Claaws--she wrote it as she would and concluded it as she would.
(June 3, 2018 - 6:21 pm)
It is. She told me about it before she posted it.

You said that this thread was for making connections? Hmm, maybe if we do the flea market thing, we could roleplay it out here.
(June 5, 2018 - 7:40 am)
Where is the flea market--assuming we're having it--going to be? I can't shake the idea that it would be in the south, near the desert or the coast, in Aslahari or Mer. A trade city. Maybe it's an annual event, or they're having it just this once to boost the economy somehow. I don't know. Thoughts?
(June 6, 2018 - 5:06 pm)
Yeah, same!! I think it would definitely be near the coast. I like the idea of it being an annual event, too. It's probably really famous around those parts, and gets bigger and bigger each year so more and more people know about it.
(June 7, 2018 - 9:41 am)
Yeah, I imagined it as being in Mer, or some other large southern city.
(June 7, 2018 - 10:49 am)
Well would you look at that, I'm actually going to RP! *everyone gasps* I know, right? Well, here goes!
Jaaws~
The evening was still and cool, and Jaaws lay in the center of a sunlit clearing listening to the crickets chirp. She watched Cealani's resting form, his chest rising and falling at the edge of the clearing. Each breath was hers to control. She controlled a Power. No, two Powers.
Jaaws could not calmly contain this triumph, nor her ambitions, or her excitement at plans that would soon come to fruition. This was partly why she lay so rigidly.
The other reason was that there was something amiss in the night air. Jaaws awaited it with bated breath, unable to place exactly what it was that was bothering her.
Jaaws's eyes flicked backwards. Whist was asleep somewhere behind her, shrouded in mist. Hm. No, Whist hadn't left; she was still there, as Jaaws could hear her feathers rustling.
Maybe the horse they were controlling was in danger. Jaaws closed her eyes and opened them again, seeing the world from the horse's view. It was somewhere in a forest, resting by a spring.
Jaaws turned the horse's head and surveyed the woods. She hadn't seen ancient trees like these in a while. The horse was making progress...
Suddenly there was a jarring rustle, and Jaaws's attention snapped back to her own self, her head shooting up in surprise.
Jaaws looked back. Whist was stirring. And from the mist she heard a whisper..."Enyo. Enyo is back. Enyo has found us."
Jaaws's eyes snapped to the sky and she reared up to look over the treetops. Yes, there he was--the blazing orange Song of War bird was soaring ever closer.

*raises hand meekly* Er, Enyo is a she, named after a minor Greek goddess of war. I, um, I kinda named her and also now that I think about it could you perhaps tell me if you know anything about her since I'm maybe going to be RPing her soon-ish? And about playing Sideaffected Powers in general?
(June 12, 2018 - 10:01 am)
Enyo is male. Ronan wanted him to be male. Sorry! ;p Uh...he’s a song of war bird who is Caelani’s sideaffected power and ummmmmm is working against catastrophe even though he earned his trust by like killing something or helping him win a current war.
Also guys quick epiphany what if Whist is Lunee’s sideaffected power? Then the story of Sylvia’s foal can make a greater impact? Well but then how would Whist be activated all this time....and the converting stuff.....UGG never mind doesn’t make sence. But I want Lunee to develope a HOLD ON I HAD AN EPIPHANY MID EPIPHANY! What if...I know this might seem crazy.... WHAT IF CLAAWS IS THE SIDEAFFECT OF LUNEE!?!?!? Like a twisted version of her and she’s LIKE a Power because the flower’s petal turned into her BUT Lunee caused the side affect? MAKING CLAAWS LUNEE’S SIDEAFFECT! HOLY CHEESE AND CRACKERS! *cough* sorry... But it totally makes sence! Like she’s an advanced Sideaffect and because she was Lunee’s and gifted from the petal she has all the IMMORTALITY and POWERS as the powers! AND can even make her own side affectes! Wow that totally makes sence. Or not. SHES BOTH A POWER AND A SIDEAFFECTED POWER! Omagosh what do you guys think?!
LETS GET RPING GUYS! Just RP anything and we can tie all the mixed plots together. AND FINALLY END THIS STORYLINE! After all these years....*has flashbacks*
So ya! Post ideas, ways to intertwine plot stuff, RPing, etc. PLEASE DONT INTRODUCE ANYTHING NEW. Except for the Flea Market thing that is a WONDERFUL idea FYI. ALSO BE DONE WITH THE BALLS! *snickers at inside joke* I don’t think there would be any Balls in a time of crisis. The flea market is new and not a Ball but a way to get everyone’s characters together SO RP IT HERE! Tie your story lines together! Write something random about your character in kyndom, where they are who they’re with, and someone else can write about their characters and even incorporate yours into the story. LET THE RPING COMMENCE!
(June 12, 2018 - 11:28 am)
I don't think Claaws should be Lunee's SAP. It's a little confusing and I don't think it would work with the plot. Just my idea.
As for adding new things- I partially agree with that, and partially disagree. I think it's okay if somebody adds new sideplots that are in the same world as the main plot, they just don't affect it. Like the Sages. The Sages take place in the same world as Kyngdom, they follow the same rules, but their plot doesn't affect the main plot. But, I do agree as well. Like, no new Powers or Sideaffected Powers, no new plots that could change the main plot. Because I too want the Powers plot to finish. I have some ideas for the second main plot, once we finish Power of Hoof, Power of Howl, Power of Fang, and the (likely) short epilogue. Also, should we do a time jump after the epilogue to the future? So, like, the descendants of our charries? A sci-fi Kyngdom would be super cool...
(June 12, 2018 - 3:49 pm)
There's been discussion of a time skip before, and it's been agreed that there will probably be one, but we're going to do it after we finish with the Powers.
(July 18, 2018 - 3:08 pm)
Thanks! Could you point me to where it was specified that Enyo was male? I can't seem to recall it. Also, maybe Enyo is against Catastrophe because of feeling used, treated like a tool rather than a sentient being, feeling caged, wanting to... he wants to destroy Caelani, right?
How would a Sideaffected Power have their own Sideaffecteds? Wouldn't they be good, in that scenario, having the inverse nature of their creator? They're usually opposites; Claaws being the opposite of Lunee and Jaaws being the opposite of Claaws would make Jaaws the same as Lunee, like double negatives. But Jaaws is evil and Lunee hopefully isn't, so that logic doesn't work with what we've already established. In addition, it's been set in stone for over two years that there are six Powers and Claaws is one of them, so it would be a very big change to the lore. Oh, and Claaws has an instrument form; if she was a Sideaffected Power, would that mean that all the Sideaffecteds also had instruments, and would it extend to Jaaws as well? Do Sideaffected Powers also have regular animal forms, too?
Heh, that's a lot of RPing. Hope I can keep up with it.
