~A frilled shark
Deep in an unknown world, something stirred.
Black against black in the darkness of the deepest depths of the sea.
It was so dark, not even one who could see in night would be able to see the instrument laying in the crevices of the mouth to a cave.
Yet a creature stirred.
This creature seemed to be blind, a haze of white covered their eyes. Yet as it swam closer, it could sense the power this instrument held. It could see a future where this instrument would hold the world in it's talons again.
It swam closer to the instrument. It's gills pulsed in and out, in and out, the strong sense of power growing closer at the second. The future of unlimited power flashed through it's mind, it's vision, and it knew that once it held the instrument in it's jaws, it's whole life would be impacted by it.
It would hold unlimited Power.
~A wolf
The time was near. We knew the time was coming. In our pack, we held a special power, in the form of an instrument.
The Guardian knew the time was coming, as she told. Soon the instrument would be played, in the lone voice of a wolf's howl, and a creature would emerge.
It was right. We knew now the creature inside was no evil. It was meant to fight the darkness that had overcome Kyndom, out forests, our lands.
It was time.
The Power of Howl must be released.
We must fight back to the darkness corrupting our world.
~Sylvia
In the forest, light streamed down into a valley, a small circular valley, peaceful with only crickets humming softly in the grass.
It was a hidden valley. No one of bad intents could get past the barrier of life and brair that protected the creature inside.
The creatures, actually.
Sylvia...and Sylvia's foal.
He had grown fast. Sylvia knew better then anyone else that horses weren't supposed to grow this fast. Yet here he was, Sylvia's foal, a little more then half the size of his mother.
But of course, her mother was not as big as she usually is, and a horn was missing from atop her head. Unlike her beautiful son, with a black horn that matched his hooves and reflected off his silver eyes.
He laughed and chased crickets in the sunbeams. Everything was beautiful. It was peaceful. The only thing Sylvia would ever care about was her son. The Powers didn't exist to her anymore. Her siblings were nothing in the light of a creature so pure.
He jumped into the air, snapping at a cricket, before falling down to his back, laughing. Sylvia smiled.
And then the brair surrounding the valley rustled, whispering slightly in the wind. Sylvia stood up, alarmed. So did her son, flicking his ears back at her. She neighed, stomping her hooves, and he looked back before coming to hide behind her flank, pawing the ground softly.
The whole barrier seemed to shake as a creature pulled itself through the end opposite her. It was a human. With icy-blond hair, strange blue eyes, like chips of ice, and striking white skin.
Sylvia blinked at her for a moment. This girl was all too familiar. "Celesti...?" She whispered in disbelief, taking a shaking step forward. "But...it can't be..."
The girl shook her head. "Sylvia, I am Icy. The descendant of the PowerFriend, your mother...Celesti. I've come to tell you that the Powers are in grave danger. You are in grave danger. They need you."
~Catastrophe
Live was boaring for a boy king. Well, an old boy king.
He was yet to become king of this time, but his council was working on it. They were talking it out. Which Catastrophe thought was stupid. Why couldn't they just take it over with violence? It was faster.
Though he remembered that wasn't how he first earned the rule of Kyndom. He remembered in order to rule, he had to gain the respect of the people.
The boy king sighed.
He reached up to where his bird, the magnificent creature who was drawn to Catastrophe and his power, his hunger for war, was perched. The bird was gazing out the window, as he often did.
"Hello, Enyo. Do you wish to fly today?" He called, brushing his fingers through the large bird's feathers.
The bird looked down at him with his usual 'I'm better then you' expression, before looking back up at the window. Catastrophe smiled, adjusting his position on his uncomfortable throne to look up at the bird. "That was a yes, I presume. No bird in it's right mind would surpass a chance to fly."
He stood up and offered his arm to the large bird, about the size of an overgrown hawk. The bird glanced at him, before stepping onto his arm. His surpiroty almost matched the way Catastrophe felt. Except, Catastrophe really was supiorer to everyone else. He was the only creature who had ever killed both a Sideaffected power and a Power. All of the Powers, actually.
And the only creature who would do it again. And destroy them for good.
He walked the bird to his balconey overlooking all of Kyndom. You could see the decoy forest, the towns around it, the main city of Kyndom, the ocean sparkling on the horizon, and even the Layberanth Tunnles far away.
His castle was hidden on a mountain streatching high over all of Kyndom. He was glad his sight was so keen, or else he wouldn't be able to see his land streaching all around him.
This castle was so well hidden or worshiped (whichever one was fine with him) that in the thousands of years that he had been gone, his castle had stayed up. Now his followers were replacing the old wood and stone, making it as perfect and stronge as it was a thousand years ago.
He opened the door and stepped up onto the balconey. He breathed in the air before lifting up his arm to release his bird.
It flew out into the air, the sun glimmering off of the firey red and yellow colors of the feathers. Of his bird.
His Song of War Bird.
~Whist
I slept in a cloud of mist. But my eyes were alert. Through them I watched Jaaws as a cricket, pirched silently in the cover of leaves. Our argument over the false Power of Howl was still fresh. Through another I watched my own back, so any surprise attacks wouldn't fase me. And through another, I watched the still forms of the Powers, controlled by both me and Jaaws.
I felt a shiver of joy at that. I controled the Powers now. Not Jaaws. Though if we hadn't worked together, neither would be able to control them. I guess that was the only good thing about working with a witch of a dragon.
And then, I saw I sight I haden't seen for a thousand years.
Through an owl watching the sky, I saw a bird the color of fire.
I sat up so suddenly I saw Jaaws head shoot up. "Enyo." I whispered out to the mist. "Enyo is back. Enyo has found us."

Hello Kyndom! Write as any one or all of your charries here. This thread is for making connections with other charries and the rest of Kyndom.
Some quick questions...what is Sylvia's foal's name? I just guessed on what he looked like and acted like.
Also Moonshadow, I hope I got everything about your pack right.
I don't currently know where Catastrophe is, this just seemed the most likley.
This is ment to move the plot foward, I have every right to RP as everyone I just RPed as. Scylla, if you ever come back, I'm sorry if you didn't want that to happen, but it's been a few months of you not responding and the plot must move fowards!

The two words the Animals fills me with hope at the same time it fills me with dread.
Rose and I exchange looks. We step carefully inside, following the dark shape in front of us.
The room we step into is dimly lit. A few animals, mostly bats, stand around. They watch us in interest. They especially watch Rose.
The dark figure leading us in turns out to be a dark colored panther. He flicked his tail and a rabbit hopped ovef to shut the door.
"So..." I asked. "Where's your leader?"
As soon as I ask the question I regret it dearly . There is a sudden cold feeling as all the animals tense up and fall silent. I coughed quietly, feeling uncomfortable.
The panther clears his throat. "Our leader has been...away...for a very....long period of time. I'm....sure he'll....be....badk....soon."
" Oh, um, okay, " I stumble.
Rose gives me a look.
Something doesn't feel right. As if...they don't have a leader. As if they're lying...so we don't tell the rest of Kyngdom.

Sorry it's kinda short. But hey, here it is!

Davina~~
"Fine," I replied. "I'll land the carriage and you can get off. Have fun trying to get back to Mer, though. We're up north now."
The pirate glares at me , and I glare back. It slowly turns to awkward silence. I cleared by throat and stepped into the driver's compartment.
Grabbing hold of, the reins, I guided the Thunderbirds to the ground. They landed.
When I got out, the Pirate had grabbed her friend and lept off the carriage. They were now heading towarrs Mer, which was about twenty miles away. I scoffed.

I set Darya on the ground a little roughly (she's still halfway unconscious) and turn back to the carriage, which is rising ever higher in the sky.
"HAVE FUN WITH IT!" I shout up with a scoffing laugh. "IT'S A FAKE! I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT!" I shoot at the Thunderbirds with my lightning gun, giving them a good scare, and the carriage rocks as it recedes into the sky.
Then I turn around and don't give those thieves another glance. I help Darya to her feet after she regains consciousness, and the first thing she does is glare at me.
"What's with the glare?! We're both alive!" I say defensively.
"We almost WEREN'T alive! You and your theatrics. We could've come and gone without a peep if you'd kept the auction small. And now look at us--no money. What's the crew going to think?"
"They're not going to think anything," I growl.
"I don't know what that's supposed to mean," Darya scoffs back.
We trek towards Mer in cold silence.
"You do realize it's going to be dark before we get back," Darya says eventually.
"Yes. I realize that."

Hazel~
We left Norah somewhere back along the trail...and now we're finally here at Mer. With the flea market going on, almost every street is clogged with wagons, travelers, and, a little closer to the coast, vendors.
"Oh my Claaws..."
Nieke has scaled a tree at the edge of the city to find us the path of least resistance through the city. Unfortunately, it seems that there isn't one.
"Does anyone even know where the Resistance base is?" I wonder as Nieke scrambles back down the tree. I know its general location in the city, but not any exact coordinates.
--------
Sorry that this post is so short. I thought Trixie would probably know where the base is, but I didn't know for sure.

Oh my Claaws! I have disapeard but let's begin again shall we?
~Moonlight
I am so exhausted! I hope this is all I have to do.
Ron keeps the iron right where it is. "...Good Now you two will fight!"
I give him a look that says 'I am going to pass out if I have to do that' but he doesn't get the hint.
The iron comes closer to my face.
I let out a deep growl and Ron looks suprised "That's better than what I expexted! Well done Stalker!" He sees the look of confusion on my face and laughs making a weird motion with his hand. "That is what I'm going to need you to do at the fights! now change back. i guess you don't have enough strength"
My wings disapear and I stand up again very very light headed. Then one of the men clamps a chain on my leg and it sends a shock through me makeing me collaps.
"Come on Stalker! You need to be stronger than that!"
I lay on the ground too drained to do anything. Then a searing pain fills my arm. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" I scream and look at my arm. The iron is on my skin and Ron removes it leaving a scar. I've been branded.
"Oh don't worry," He says to me "It will always be there. Always" He walks away and the guards grab me and Whisper, who is back as a human, and drag us to cells. They throw us in them and I just collapse on the ground.
Whisper rushes to the bars of her cell "I'm so sorry" She says
"I'll be fine" I say laying on the ground.
"Not going to lie I'm usually the upbeat person but you look terrible" A voice says.
I struggle to get up and look through the bars. Across from us is a tank filled with water and a little bit of land. Inside is a blue SCOCS expieriment. "MAchali!"

Kimiko~~
Connor and I walk through the dark tunnel. I keep my metal hand against the right wall, so I know where turns are. We've been walking for almost an hour now. Still no signs of an end.
"Ugh, how long is this tunnel?" Connor complains.
"Can you please stop complaining already?" I snap. His whining has gotten on my nerves.
" Jee, " He remarks, then falls silent.
After several more minutes of quiet walking, I spot a tiny speck of light at the other end of the tunnel. Elated, I begin to run.
"Whoa, Kimiko, slow down!" Connor yells from behind me.
" We're almost free! " I shout back, then continue running.
Pani shivers in my sword. Not now, I think, You might scare Connor!
We break out into sunlight. I laugh and spin, looking around. We're on an open hillside, speckled with flowers. At the base of the hill is the large building that is Ron's headquarters.
Suddenly Pani jumps out of my sword. "Kimiko! Oh, is that building where the others are?"
I nod. "Connor is the boy witg me. Connor, this is my ghost friend, Pani. We're going to save my friends. You can come if you want."

Star~~
When the lasers started being fired, my mother tried to pull me into the caravan for protection. But admist the chaos, a thief darted up to our booth and snatched our jewelry and gems. Furious and not thinking of my safety, I slipped away from the caravan. The thief jumped onto a large grey horsw. I jumped onto Norokibi and followed him.
I chased the thief through the streets, shouting the entire time. The thief pulled out a small pistol. They fired it.
Instictively, I ducked. However, they weren't trying to hit me--they shot at the ground in front pf me, spooking Norokibi. He threw me off his back.
"Ow! Claaws, Norokibi! That hurt!"
By the time I got back up and calmed Norokibi down, I realized we'd left Mer entirely . Oh, Claaws. How long had I been chasing the thief? And he was gone, too--it had all been for nothing.
"Oh, Claaws, I should have known better! Now I have no idea where I even am!" I shouted at nobody in particular . I looked around. The thief had led us into the woods--dark and very crowded woods. The perfect place to get somebody chasing you lost.
I pulled out a wrinkled map from my pocket. There were woods surrounding Mer-- I could be on any side of Mer. And I had no idea where I was in the woods.

Selena~
There's a faint gunshot, and Darya glances at me.
"Did you hear that?"
I nod and clench a fist. "Let's go see who it is."
"That doesn't seem safe."
I lead us through the woods, and I don't bother to tread quietly. The forest here is dark and crowded, blocking out much of the sunlight but providing much cover.
The closer we get to the source of the gunshot, the more clearly I can hear someone trampling through the woods to the right.
Surprising Darya, I swerve off the path and head straight for the sound, still high on adrenaline from our fight with the other thieves. Abruptly I come upon a shady-looking fellow--a young man in average clothing, carrying a bedraggled backpack. When he spies Darya and I approaching him heads-on, he stops and his fingers twitch around something silver.
He's holding a pistol.
I adjust my hat and produce my little lightning blaster from its holster. "Well well well, look what we found," I spit. "You don't happen to be a thief, do you?"
"N-no," he stammers, backing away. "I'm just a traveler--b-being chased by a thief!"
Oh, the humor of it all. As a pirate, my purpose in life is stealing from other people. I've got to respect those who get away with taking from me, but losing my drum pushes the limits. I'm angry, and I need to take this anger out on someone.
"Hm. It looked more like you were chasing us, but fair enough. Hand over the backpack."
Without waiting for a response, I electrocute his legs with my blaster and he falls over, stunned. I hurry to him and snatch his parcel, hoping there are valuables inside.
"Consider it an honor to meet Captain Phantasma," I tell him as he groans in pain on the leafy forest floor. I grab his firearm and return with Darya to the wooded pathway.
"Still mad?" I wonder as we continue towards Mer.
"Yep," Darya replies.
I sigh. I'm sure once we get back on the ship and we're safely out to sea, she'll relax. This sort of thing happens to us all the time. Combat and tension is usually exciting, but not today. Not when we lost so much money.
"Hey, maybe there's something good inside this backpack, at least."
I open it and my eyes widen as I spy the gems and jewelry inside.
"Phew. Look, Darya."
I show her the contents of the backpack and then zip it up carefully, placing it securely on my back.

Kimi Flammori~
The carriage shakes as a ball of lightning soars past the thunderbirds, startling them into a shaky ascent. We speed up, and the wind whips through my fur.
"Davina!" I exclaim. "Did you hear that?!"
She stares down at the pirates, bristling. "Yeah."
I gawk at the drum necklace in her hands. Was it really a fake? "She...could've been lying."
I don't think it matters either way. We had a great time, and it's realistic enough to sell at a grand price. Plus, we didn't get killed by pirates, so I'm satisfied!
-----
@Sybill - Didn't you suggest they end up somewhere in the north--like Sanukaville? Or did I imagine that? :P
(January 7, 2019 - 6:17 pm)
I think I did suggest that they go to Sanukaville or somewhere up north.
Davina~~
Kimi stares down at the drum I hold in my hands.
"She...could have been lying," Kimi suggests.
I shrug. "It doesn't matter. I was planning on selling it to a Nobyl family or something. Someone who will pay a good amount of money. Besides," I say , with a slight grin, "It was fun getting it anyways. Wait until all of Kyngdom hears how Captain Phantasma surrendered to pair of simple thieves."
Kimi grins back at me. She glances over at the Thunderbirds. Oddly, her face changes.
I follow her gaze. One of the Thunderbirds is flying weird. It keeps crashing into the other and making the carriage shake violently. I'd thought the wind was what was making the carriage nearly fling us off, but now I see that there is something wrong with one of the Thunderbirds.
"I think she shot its wing!" Kimi shouts above the howling wind. I squint at the wing of the bird. There's a large dark colored splotch. It looks like a burn mark. A really, really bad burn too.
"What? I thought she missed!" I yelled back. Although , I now see that she must have hit it.
"Maybe she shot it when we were fighting on the deck!" Kimi yells.
I handed the drum to Kimi and stepped up to the reins, when I noticed that something else had been shot with a stray laser as well. The Thunderbird without a hurt wing wasn't attached to the carriage anymore. The only reason it hadn't flown away was because it was attached to the other Thunderbird with a leather strap.
"Kimi!" I shout. She runs up next to me, still holding the drum. I simply point at the broken rein.
" Thats...not good at all, " Kimi finally says in a small voice. The carriage suddenly tilts forwards. I yell and grab onto Kimi's paw. Her claws on her other paw are dug into the wooden wall. I looked back at the Thunderbirds. Wait--there were no Thunderbirds! The rein had completely snapped.
That explained why the carriage was falling rapidly.
We were heading towards the ground, which was covered in--snow? We must have made it up to Northern Kyngdom already.
I braced myself for the crash that was certain to be coming.

Machali~~
"Machali!"
I nod. "Yep, it's me."
Whisper and Moonlight immediately start questioning me.
"How'd you get here? Isn't this where the fighters stay?"
"Are you going to fight?"
"Are you hurt?"
"Is that a burn mark on your arm?"
"Ah, slow down! " I tell them. "Ron burnt me with his iron --don't freak out, it doesn't hurt very much. He told me that all the SOCS experiments were going to be fighting for him."
"Did he give you a fake name? He says he's calling me Stalker now." Moonlight looks at me.
I shake my head. "No. Moonlight, um. .. Are you okay?"
Moonlight nods. "I already told you, I'm fine. Just..worn out." However , she winces with pain each time she moves.
"Did he say anything about Kimiko to you?" Whisper asks.
"He threatened to hurt her if I didn't cooperate, but he never said anything about where she was," I reply, sadly.
Whisper looks at the ground. "I hope she's okay."
"Me too. "
We all stand in silence for a bit. Then Ron strides into the room. I quickly jump back into the water.
Ron smiles at us. "I certainly hope you enjoyed your short bit of rest. Now, let's get to work."

Ohhh, I am SO connecting that in the Tale: Two Kyngdoms thread!!
(January 8, 2019 - 5:01 pm)
Actually, it's funny, I was actually thinking that they land near Jokull. Hazel, what do you think? Personally, I think that it could turn out great. After all, Catastrophe wants the Powers and Davina and Kimi have an extremely deceiving fake. If you like the idea, then would you like to continue the Davina and Kimi plotline on the Tale:Two Kyngdoms thread?
(January 8, 2019 - 8:57 pm)
Hey, that's perfect!! I would love to.
