Kyngdom Survival Guide

I run through

Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™ RP Board

I run through

I run through the Forest, looking for the ruins. This would normally have been a hard task for anyone, but it's two days before the the next full moon, and my senses are better than ever. I see the outline of a tower in the distance, and run towards it as fast as I can. As I approach the ruins, I take in their majesty. No matter how often I come here, they will always be breathtaking. Instead of  exploring the endless rooms of the deserted castle like I would normally do, I reach into my backpack and pull out my sketchpad and a piece charcoal from last night's fire. I made enough money yesterday at the forest market that I should be able to stop scavenging and take it easy for a while. I don't need money for much more than clothes and art supplies anyway, for I find or grow most of the things I need, but it's good to have a purse full of coins in the middle of a war. Times have been tuff lately, with the war going on. Less and less people buy my artwork and the objects I find, so I've been wearing clothes two sizes too small for months now. My colored pencils are nearly stubs, so I've been doing a lot of charcoal drawings lately. I've had to go into cities more and more often to sell my artwork and found objects, and normally the only buyers are rich tourists. I hate cities. They aren't really good places to be when you're like me. A were wolf, that is. Did I forget to mention that?

Thank you. I was thinking Nygrune could help teach magic...

thats great! Our magic teacher just got the feather flu, and she won't be back in action in a few moons. Could you start tomorrow?

Certainly! Perfect timing, actually; I'll have a few extra spare hours.

Okay, so Viola can teach those who aren't elves, and I will teach the elves. Sound good?

Yeah, sounds great. I have a question, though: is elf magic different from other magic?

Yes, it is, because only elves can learn it and actually do it.

(Picture it kind of like Lord of the Rings, I guess.)

Ah, I thought so. Is it anything specific (healing, fighting, moving objects, communication)?

Not exactly object moving, but healing and communication. But communication is usually only granted to a coupke of people, like the queen or the high lord of the Council. Fighting in our Elven nations are usually very strict, and everyone must move together and have precise aiming and targeting in everything.

Today, we at the camp have one focus; prepare for the ball. Already, we have many of the young children designing ballgowns and suits, and we are training many of the soldiers in both acting skills and combat. Many of them are coming with me, along with Rose, Lycaella, and Nygrune. Oh, and Mhatt. Just when we thought things couldn't get any more awkward.

@Rose: I thought so. Thank you!

@Autumn: YESSSSSSS!

I think Nygrune is going to wear the peacock suit since Poe isn't coming, Lycaella will have a special raspberry gown with silver-set topaz jewelry (the outfit she brought in case of a formal occasion). I don't know if Laeta is coming, but if anyone else needs a costume design, I have plenty.

I sit on the floor with Rose's and Autumn's ball gowns spread across my lap. Autumn is sitting across from me desperately trying to making a cake. She seems to be beating the mix a little to hard. There are smudges of unknown food specimens on her face. Meanwhile, Rose is making my dress. She won't let me look. I did my puppy eyes which didn't work. I even did some begging. Still nothing.

"Okay, I give up," I  declare.

"I was beginning to wonder if you ever would," Rose responded.

Speaking of giving up, Autumn doesn't seem to be discouraged by her previous cakes that tasted amazing but looked like lump of mush.

Everyone else is decorating and doing the party plannning part. Most people are trying to make ball gowns.

I looked down at Autumn's dress it was midnight blue. I was deciding on whether to add the moon phases onto her dress. It was either that or flowers.

"Autumn, I'm gonna say two things and you're going to say which one you like better."

"Flowers or moon phases?"

Hi. I just got here, and I was wondering if anyone wants to mess around with my charrie. I give you permission to do anything with her. She is very shy until you know her, can use practically every weapon in kyngdom, has light brown hair and grey-blue eyes, is tall for her age, is a shape-shifter, and has a black barred owl named Ember.
