|"-I'd have to say pineapple, and maybe chicken as well,-"| Lyra tells me. "-Honestly, though, I enjoy any kind of pizza topping. What kind of crust do you prefer?-"|

|"Not too crispy," I say. "Just well-cooked. And of course with tomato sauce and cheese." I look at her. "That is what you were asking, right? What about you?"|

-"|Not too crispy. Just well-cooked. And of course with tomato sauce and cheese.|" He glances at me, which makes me smile (if I wasn't already). "|That is what you were asking, right? What about you?|"-

-"Pretty much," I reply. "I think any crust is good, as long as it isn't too thick. I prefer thin crusts, honestly." I pause, observing a mourning dove cooing on the branch of a tree. It tilts its head at us before continuing to coo. "Do you like birds?"-

|"-Pretty much,-" Lyra tells me. "-I think any crust is good, as long as it isn't too thick. I prefer thin crusts, honestly.-" She looks at a dove sitting a little way away from us, that seems to be scrutinizing us in turn as it coos softly. "-Do you like birds?-" Lyra asks.|

|"I love them," I say. "Though both Vir and Ibis are named after birds, so that tends to alter my perception of them..." I laugh. It's so easy to laugh today. "But seriously, birdwatching is one of my favorite pastimes. That's a mourning dove, I think?"|

|"Sometimes," I say. "We tried putting up a birdfeeder a couple of times, but it never really worked. We do have several birds anyway, though, and I also birdwatch whenever Silvan manages to convince me to go on nature walks with her. What about you?"|

-"Well, Astra is kind of like Silvan, in which she also tries to convince me to go on a nature walk," I reply. "And well, she also puts out seeds in our backyard, and every day, there's at least one bird there." I pause, admiring everything - the sunlight, the scenery, Eri... "Anyways, do you ever see squirrels in your backyard?"-

"-And well, she also puts out seeds in our backyard, and every day, there's at least one bird there.-" She pauses, and for a moment we're both silent, letting the day sink into us. "-Anyways, do you ever see squirrels in your backyard?-" Lyra asks.|

|"We definitely do," I say. "Way too often. They're bent on ruining everything in the garden, and they're much too sassy. Privately, I kind of admire them." I catch a blossom that's drifting down past us and present it to her. "Do you have any squirrels?"|

-"|We definitely do. Way too often. They're bent on ruining everything in the garden, and they're much too sassy. Privately, I kind of admire them.|" He catches a drifting blossom and presents it to me. "|Do you have any squirrels?|"-

-I graciously accept the blossom and adjust it in my hair. "A few, which come by every now and then. Astra adores them, but honestly, they are troublemakers. They keep stealing the seeds from the birds." I catch a falling blue feather and present it to Eri. "What's the strangest animal you've ever seen in your backyard?"-

"-They keep stealing the seeds from the birds.-" She catches a blue feather falling past us and gives it to me, and, smiling, I take it. I consider putting it in my hair, but honestly, I don't think that's my best look. "-What's the strangest animal you've ever seen in your backyard?-" Lyra asks.|

|"Hard to say. Maybe a fox we saw once - or maybe just the insects. Some of those things are very, very strange. If you get a close-up look at them, they look absolutely not of this world. What's the strangest you've ever seen?"|

|"I think I saw an opossum once too," I answer. "That was amazing. And yeah, some birds." I pause, watching the beauty of the park around us and the beauty of Lyra beside me. "What's your favorite place ever?"|
