|"Either one would be nice," I say, considering. "Maybe we could see a completely new one. What sorts of movies do you like, in general?" I know that it wouldn't really matter what movie we were watching; it would be so wonderful to watch any movie together. Maybe we can find a movie theater somewhere and spend the rest of the afternoon there, or maybe I can invite Lyra out to one later. Strange, how easily ideas can simply transform into reality - especially, I suspect, when they have to do with Lyra.|

|"Whatever good movie we can find," I say, watching her as the cherry tree we're passing under shakes down a shower of white petals on her. I can hardly believe how beautiful she is. "I think they're planning on a Freaky Friday 2, so maybe we could watch that when it comes out. It doesn't really matter, though, does it?"|

|"I'm not sure if I have one favorite," I reply, considering the grave matter at hand. "Anything that tastes good. Buttered popcorn isn't usually my first pick, though - I prefer it more... plain? I think it's especially nice if it's popped in olive oil." I brush a strand of her hair back, tilting my head to lightly touch hers. "What about you?"|
