Here, you can say whatever's on your chest. There WILL BE NO JUDGMENT HERE, just a few rules and one suggestion.
1. No cussing. The Admins are good at trimming, but please give them a break and replace any bad words with various words that have no negative meaning except when used emphatically.
2. Don't tell anybody off. I don't want to see any 'Nobody cares' or stuff like that.
Suggestion: You don't have to use any anonymous name. If you feel like it, I'm not going to hold you back, but the main point of this thread is so that we can come around you and uplift you, and it's kinda hard to do if we don't know who we're doing this for.
Nihil says 'uwin'. I win what?

First let me say that I love literature. HOWEVER I understand this completely. I think that there are a lot of creative pieces, that can seemingly fall flat. I think that some people would see the exact same pieces that you or I (for example) wouldn't like and be enthralled, but that others (such as you and I), would not find interesting or beautiful in the least. I think that everyone's different viewpoint has a huge impact on the way that the view anything.
Honestly this thought deserves a whole thread to itself. It is a very interesting and philosophical subject.

Some older literature, yeah. Like, H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and of course J.R.R. Tolkien are still good, but from what I've seen of, say, Dickens, he's not particularly impressive.

@Silverwaxxing, yeah, that's a much better way to put it!
Off the top of my head, some of the classical authors and poets I do like are Shakespeare, Alexander Pope, Jane Austen, Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, Edger Allen Poe, and Herman Melville (although I admit to not finishing Moby Dick yet).

Ahh all of those are great. May I have the names of some of the things you were complaining about?
(November 29, 2018 - 7:44 am)
Yay, it always makes me happy when someone else likes the same things! I'd rather not say which ones specifically because they're somewhat religious and I don't want to offend anyone.

Oh, ok. Understood. Actually, if that’s the case I have a few more things I’d like to say but I also wouldn’t want to start an argument.

This is a great idea for a thread, Rogue Wildling!

Sorry. *Recomposes self* Thanks Silverwaxwing!
@coyotedomino I dunno... I think Dickens is pretty great, but I can agree that his stories are sometimes very hard to keep track of. I blame run-on sentences...

Well, I admit all of his that I've read has been like two thirds of Great Expectations. Perhaps I should read more. A Christmas Carol does sound intriguing.

Hahahaha! You make me feel old! xD You're welcome! Also, if you would like, you are more than welcome to call me Silver. :)

*screams into a pillow*
Not again...
(November 29, 2018 - 1:25 pm)
Oh dear, Vyolette! Why are you screaming into a pillow?
(November 29, 2018 - 6:20 pm)
*pats Vyolette's back* Tell us what bothers you, my dear friend, would you like a virtual hug? Maybe some puns? I know some pungent puns that are punny and punderful for someone who's frustrated!
(November 29, 2018 - 7:16 pm)
I was screaming into a pillow to muffle my agonized cries
Haha no, just kidding. That sounds overly dramatic. I'm fine now, I just needed to get something out of my system via written words.
Life's just... so frustrating sometimes.

I understand your frustration. I think everyone feels it from time to time. I hope you are feeling better! <3
