Okay, here's my
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Book Quotes!
Okay, here's my...
Okay, here's my first book quote:
"Only two hours," she sighed. "That will be half past one; Mother will be at Cousin Ann's, the children at home will have had their dinner, and Hannah cleared all away. I have some lunch, because Mother said it would be a bad beginning to get to the brick house hungry and have Aunt Mirandy have to get me something to eat the first thing.-It's a good growing day, isn't it?"
First one to guess the book gets to post the next quote! Good luck! If no one guesses it by the 20th, I'll post another quote.

Hi Electra! It's nice to know that there's someone on the CB who's newer than me. :) Hope you have fun!
About the quote...umm... um... thinking... I give up. It's so generic! It could probably find a place in about half of all the fantasy books out there, maybe more. I guess I shouldn't post if I don't know the answer to any of them.

I'm just topping this!

@Princess P
Sisters Grimm?
(July 1, 2011 - 2:28 pm)
@Analesia: I'm pretty sure it's not The Sisters Grimm. It doesn't really seem like MB's writing style.... it might be, though. BTW, I'm just posting to top this. :)

*is stuck* Top! If Princess P. doesn't tell us soon, then I'll look it up!

Sorry I wasn't able to post on here for a while! I was pretty busy the last few days. :-) Anyways, I regret to say that none of your guesses are correct. Elizabeth M., as far as I know, you have not read it, but you might have! :-) Would you like me to give you the name of book, and then give you another quote from another book? Or would you prefer that I give you another quote from the same book and see if you can guess them? Either way is fine with me.
(July 5, 2011 - 6:27 pm)
Hm... Maybe you could try a slight easier quote but from the same book! :-)
(July 6, 2011 - 10:25 am)
I agree. Would you put another, easier, book quote? It really does sound familiar.

Give us a hint to the title of the book, for example, if the book was a Percy Jackson book, you could say it's about Greek mythology.
(July 7, 2011 - 3:04 pm)
Yes! Hint, please!

Here's another quote from the same book: "He had the hot room and the cranky girl to endure. _______ couldn't possibly want out more than he did. The problem was what it would cost." Since there's a name in the sentence (and putting it in would definitely give the answer away!), I just put a blank there. You'll have to figure out the name yourself. :-) Good luck! And I hope that this one is easier than the first one! Otherwise, just tell me if you need another hint, and I'll try to find another (hopefully easier!) one.

I just saw Elizabeth's post. :-) I'll see if you guys can guess the quotes soon. If not, I'll also add a hint.
(July 8, 2011 - 5:03 pm)
Does it have to do with one of the Anne books?
(July 10, 2011 - 3:04 am)
Is it Elizabeth's guess?
Oh, and I'm guessing one of the Percy Jackson books.
(July 11, 2011 - 4:47 pm)
I don't think it's Percy... The writing isn't Riordan's style. I could be wrong, though! If Princess P. doesn't tell us in a matter of days, we can feel free to look it up.
