Okay, here's my
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Book Quotes!
Okay, here's my...
Okay, here's my first book quote:
"Only two hours," she sighed. "That will be half past one; Mother will be at Cousin Ann's, the children at home will have had their dinner, and Hannah cleared all away. I have some lunch, because Mother said it would be a bad beginning to get to the brick house hungry and have Aunt Mirandy have to get me something to eat the first thing.-It's a good growing day, isn't it?"
First one to guess the book gets to post the next quote! Good luck! If no one guesses it by the 20th, I'll post another quote.

Hopefully I'll be able to post my book quote soon! Does anyone know if we can post multiple sentences?
(May 3, 2011 - 8:03 am)
Well, if I understood your question right, this is my answer!
I don't think two people can post their book quote at the same time but let's say if ZNZ doesn't post her quote in a maximum of three days then you can write your quote.

No, but I expect you can.
(May 3, 2011 - 3:44 pm)
Well, Princess P, maybe you can now.
(May 4, 2011 - 9:52 am)
No, that's fine. ZB, can go. Can't wait to guess it!

"Now, if you only kept on good terms with him, he'd do almost anything you liked with the clock."

No. Idea. Haven't heard of it...I'll see if any of you know it. :-)

This seems a little old timey... Hint?
(May 6, 2011 - 6:46 am)
Okay, hint! This book is in the public domain. (Read: Old.)
(May 7, 2011 - 8:00 pm)
Flatland? I haven't read it yet, but you have, and you said it was in the public domain on your website...
(May 7, 2011 - 9:25 pm)
No, the answer is not Flatland. :D Though excellent detective work.
