Hello, it's me
Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™ RP Board
Hello, it's me
Hello, it's me again!
This is my first thread, and it's going to focus on my charrie Lycaella, her mom and her friend Nygrune. It's for following our adventures while we're not in a place or situation covered by another thread. 'We' because Ronan has asked to be Nygrune, to which of course I said yes.
Someone (I think Icy) said that B.I.G. and Catstrophe actually dislike each other. It makes sense, so... Just to let you know.
I'll begin where I left off on the Underwater Ball thread, with Lycaella and Nygrune planning to do some spying of a sort. They've asked Lycaella's mom to show them her notes, so I'll fast-forward to that.
Lycaella~
"Oh, so you're giving them their shadows back?"
We are sitting on a rug in my mom's room, reading her notes. I can't make sense of half the words, but she tells Nygrune and I what it means. Apparently, Catastrophe has found a way to separate shadows from their owners' bodies, and to keep him from creating a shadow army and destroying everything, B.I.G. has been researching it. They've managed to figure out how he did it, and are testing ways to reattach the shadows to their owners.
"Well, that's one way of putting it," my mom says. "We believe it will be beneficial to all of Kyngdom."
"I don't really understand this one... How would they sew them back on?" I ask.
"I believe it's with a special sort of thread, Ella," Mom says. "Let's see now..."
Nygrune finds it first. "A needle made from the bone of a magic or mythical being, preferably with thread also made from a magical material."
"Yes," my mom says, "Although personally I think that a binding spell shows more promise." I raise an eyebrow. She doesn't usually like magic this much. Out of nowhere, I yawn. Mom and Nygrune look at me like I'm disrupting something.
"Sorry," I say. "I'm getting kind of tired. You two can keep reading, I don't mind."
My mom nods. I hear her calling after me as I leave the room.
"Remember to brush your teeth!"
~End RP.
It actually is getting kind of late, so I should go. I hope this works out.

Oh my Kyngdom it topped again! I love it when that happens.
@Ronan: Please post soon.

I look and see that it's the wrong porch over my pile of gadgets, but it's too late. I crash into a girl, and we both fall over.
"I'm so sorry!" I gasp, frantically picking up my things. I better get home fast.
"That's fine," the girl says, helping me pick up my things. "I have nothing better to do."
She looks at everything I dropped. "What's all of this for?"
"I, I, um..." I say, stumbling over my words. "I'd rather not say."
The girl looks at me oddly for a second. She smiles. "Anyway, I'm Lycaella."
"Laeta," I respond.
"Do you need help with your stuff?" she asks.
"Oh, well, are you sure I'm not bothering you from something?" I ask carefully.
"Positive," she responds. She then looks at the front door, looking back at me. "I'm sure it'll take a while," she mutters.
She grabs some of my stuff, and I lead her to my house a few houses down.
I the outide room, and I drop off all of my stuff. But I forget that Lycaella was there.
She peers inside before I can stop her. "Whoa, what's all of this?"
She looks at all of the mechanical stuff spewn across the tables and floors. My computers are set on the tables, and my built gadgets are in the corner.
"Please don't tell anyone!" I whisper with a hint of panick in my tone.
"Why?" she asks. "I mean, I won't, but it's amazing! Why would you want to hide it?"
"Well..." I say, fidgeting nervously. "It's kind of illegal."
"Illegal?" she asks, like it's a joke. "No way!"
I nod. "It's true. We happen to be one of the few towns conrtolled by SailHavem at a distance, and all engineering was banned."
"Why?" Lycaella asks.
"No one really knows," I sigh. "Some girl was breaking the rules, I think."
Lycaella nods and walks into the room, inspecting my things.
I don't mind. I'm glad someone else finally got to see everything I built, actually.
"Well, I better get going," Lycaella says. "Hey, you want to tag along?"
I nod eagerly. Honestly, I've been having engineerer's block lately.
"Let's go!" she says.
We walk back to the house and out comes a boy.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," he says to Lycaella, then noticing me. "Who's this?"
(What does your charrie look like, Lycaella? How about Nygrune? How old are both of they? I play a shorter 14 year old, with flaming red hair, freckles, and glasses. But I sometimes wear contacts.)

TOP!!!!!!!!!!!!
(November 6, 2016 - 10:22 pm)
Someone posted Top. I can't actually see the comment yet, but anyway, thank you!
(November 6, 2016 - 10:24 pm)
Ah, there it is.
Yeah, this thread is definitely dying, despite my best efforts. I might have to take back Nygrune just to advance the story.
Mexi says hirt. Hurt? Yeah, it does, Mexi.
(November 7, 2016 - 11:37 am)
Viola?, I'm not letting this thread die. Neither should you, for that matter.

Just so you know, I posted something, Viola.
(November 7, 2016 - 7:12 pm)
Thank you. Thank you both.
I'm not giving up. I just might take back full control of Nygrune. Ronan can still RP as him, but I'll do more of it. I have an idea for what happens next, and I'll write that out soon.
If anyone wants to join, please do. Just ask. I will definitely accept.
(November 7, 2016 - 9:09 pm)
Almost forgot: Mexi says bkzr, which I think means back zero. Like zero turning back. I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about, Mexi, but it's inspirational.
(November 7, 2016 - 9:11 pm)
I'm going to be Nygrune for a while. I'll take over him when you're not here. I still want your input, and I want you to post here, but you barely ever come and the thread is dying. So I'll be Nygrune sometimes, more fully and more often, but you can still RP as him. I know this is sudden and unexpected, but I think it'll work out okay. I hope. I hope it'll work out okay.

Wow! I love it. Thank you for joining!
Viola is my out-of-charrie name. Lycaella is 14, the same age as Nygrune. She is tall for her age, with pale skin under a light tan from traveling. Her hair is wavy, the same brown as her eyes, coming down almost to her waist. She usually keeps it in a ponytail or a braid. She is slim and athletic from her travels, and wears simple clothing suitable for them (T-shirt and jeans, boots or sneakers, a cloak and long sleeves when it's cold, and always carrying some kind of bag). She's a lot like me.
I'm not sure what Nygrune looks like, but I imagine him as having a much darker skin tone than Lycaella, with even darker hair (probably black or extremely dark brown). He probably has dark eyes, too. I haven't thought about it much, but I always picture him as wearing blue for some reason, a medium dark blue. I think he's somewhere around the same height as Lycaella, though not as athletic. I don't think either of them wear glasses.
And now, to RP. (Usually, before they start an RP, people put their charrie's name in front of it so you know whose point of view the RP is from.)
Lycaella~
I sigh. I've been looking for a way in since Aris locked the door, but the spare key is missing, the windows are all securely shut, and neither of the other doors will open. I hear footsteps behind me, and turn just in time to crash into a girl walking up the steps.
"I'm so sorry!" she gasps, scrabbling to collect the pile of things she was carrying. I get up to help her with it.
"It's fine, I don't have anything better to do," I say. I pick up a box of spilled gears. "What's all this for?"
The girl stutters, " I, I, um... I'd rather not say."
I give her a brief, questioning look, then dismiss it with a smile. "Anyway, I'm Lycaella."
"Laeta," the girl says. We gather everything she's dropped into a pile on the lawn.
"Do you need help with your stuff?" I ask. The pile is huge. How was she carrying all of that?
"Oh, well, are you sure I'm not bothering you or anything?" Laeta seems glad for the help, but cautious of me. I think of the house, Nygrune stuck inside with Aris.
"Positive," I tell her, glancing at the door. "I'm sure it'll be a while." I'm not sure if I said that last part aloud. Laeta doesn't react, though.
We each grab about half of her stuff, and she leads me a few houses down to one that must be hers. She somehow manages to open the door, and we go inside.
~End RP. Sorry, I meant for it to be longer, but I have to go now. Bye!
(November 8, 2016 - 3:45 pm)
That was great! I'll let you finish if you want to, unless you want me to keep on going.
(November 8, 2016 - 5:21 pm)
Thanks! Go ahead and write more. Lycaella will be inviting you to travel with her, but I want you to decide whether you go or not. And now to finish what I started.
Lycaella~
"Whoa, what's all this?"
It was out of my mouth before I could think about it. The room is almost as messy as the room on the ship where I found my new notebook. I love rooms like this more than I realized. There's always enough to keep my interest for ages. This one is full of gadgets and mechanisms, tools and parts everywhere. Laeta dumps her armload of materials on the floor, and I set mine down next to it. She looks nervous.
"Please don't tell anyone!" she whispers.
"Why?" I ask. "I mean, I won't, but this is amazing! Why would you want to hide it?"
"Well..." she fidgets. I barely notice, distracted by all the half-built machines lying around. "It's kind of illegal."
"Illegal? No way!" I can hardly believe it. To be honest, it's almost frightening how talented this girl is, but why would it be against the law?
Laeta nods sadly. "It's true. We happen to be one of the few towns controlled by SailHaven at a distance, and all engineering was banned."
This person I just met knows more about my hometown than I do. It's a weird feeling.
"Why?" I ask.
"No one really knows. Some girl was breaking the rules, I think," Laeta sighs. I nod, wandering into the room. It's probably made more amazing by the fact that I have no idea what any of it is for. I am good at keeping secrets, I think to myself.
After a few minutes, I realize that I've probably overstayed my welcome. Nygrune could be waiting for me. I don't want him to worry.
"Well, I'd better get going," I say. "Hey, you want to tag along?"
Mentally, I scold myself. Of course she doesn't want to come. But, to my surprise, she looks excited. I feel it creep into my expression as I smile.
"Okay, then... Let's go!" I feel awkward. I concentrate my thoughts on Nygrune to tune it out.
We get back to Nygrune's house (or is it Aris's?) with perfect timing. He emerges just a few moments later, glancing over his shoulder as he stumbles out and clutching a thick bundle of clothes. I step forward in case he falls, but he's already regained his balance.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Nygrune says, and then he notices Laeta. "Who's this?"
"Nygrune, meet Laeta. Laeta, this is my friend Nygrune." The feeling of awkwardness has returned. Neither of them seems uncomfortable, though, so I rush through further introductions, which include a short summary of what's going on.
"So," I say, "We should get Nygrune packed, and then we'll be on our way." The awkwardness persists. I take a breath and look Laeta in the eye. "Do you want to come with us?"
