CB Story
RULES
I will kill you off if it pleases me. (eerie laughter)
I get to choose your powers.
Fill out ENTIRE charrie sheet.
I will choose MCs. I cap the story at fifteen people.
PLOT:
The world is Earth. Everything is the same but for one thing that has dominated the culture like ivy covering an ancient wall: True Names. When you are born, your parents give you your official name, like Paul or Lisa. But as soon as you turn 13, your True Name appears on your wrist.
Often, a true name describes someone's best attribute or worst flaw: Kindness or Greed are common names. The names never describe physical attributes like agile or swift.
Unfortunately, there is one more type of name: the Forbidden Names.
These names are seemingly random, like Flame or Dachsund, and they give extraordinary abilities. Well, dachsund-summoning isn't that amazing, but-oops, getting off track.
People who have Forbidden Names are hunted down. It's not like the owners of Forbidden Names have a choice, but the True Guard doesn't care.

Part 8~
Abigail put a hand on Owlgirl's arm. Owlgirl turned again.
"I-I'm sorry? Was there something you need?" Owlgirl asked. A laugh came from the campfire; Saint had likely told a joke. Somebody, Shade, Keira, and Booksy sat talking across the courtyard quietly.
"There's something wrong with you," Abigail said again. Owlgirl winced. Was that how she looked to outsiders: an open book of emotion, a weak, thin, naive waif?
Owlgirl sighed and retracted his wings into her back. Abigail noticed twin holes, cut for the purpose of releasing her wings, as Owlgirl fidgeted in the firelight.
"I... did... did you get past that searchlight safely?" Owlgirl said quietly.
"Yes," Abigail half-lied. They did get past it... at least half-safely.
Owlgirl shifted on the log. "G-good."
"What aren't you saying?" Abigail whispered.
Owlgirl cast her eyes down, and her next words were quiet.
"It's my fault that that searchlight is out there," Owlgirl muttered.
Abigail gasped; Balea, Shade, and Shade turned. Abigail waved them off.
"How?" Abigail whispered.
Owlgirl jabbed the dirt with her toe, creating a curved imprint like a river valley carved in stone.
"My sisters..." Owlgirl said, "are very talented. See, Saint... she's hilarious. And Booksy knows everything about everything. But me... well... I can fly at over 200 miles per hour.
"I know; it sounds great. My sisters can only fly at 60 miles per hour, at best. But the thing is... energy builds up if I don't use it. And I can't leave this grove.
"So... I tried. I was first excitable, then constantly hyper, then I talked constantly. Everyone was sick of it, but they told me I couldn't leave the hideout. I understand why.
"I flew out there, and it felt great... I flew for hours. It was dawn. Everyone else was asleep.
"And this girl who I used to be friends with... see, she's a good person and... but she hates Forbiddens... she was there. And she saw me, and started yelling, and-"
Owlgirl cut herself off. Abigail stayed silent.
"And now they know that there's a Hideout around here," Abigail said.
Owlgirl nodded miserably. "I haven't told the others," she whispered, "I-I'm so afraid. I'm afraid that one of us will go out for supplies, and they'll get caught, and-"
Abigail silenced her. "It's okay," she whispered, "it's-"
Screams rang out like airhorns across the camp.
(July 6, 2016 - 4:35 pm)
Whoa, I'm actually funny?
Looking great, Brooke!
(July 6, 2016 - 9:21 pm)
Wow, that was great! But uh oh, I sense a battle.
I wonder who that friend is...

PART 9~
The True Guard Battalion 36 watched, staisfied, as the Forbiddens were revealed. Well-placed circuit dullers were bringing down the shields; The Forbiddens began cowering in the center of the ring.
The Battalion began pushing through the repellant shield, drawing tasers and guns. The Forbiddens began to rally; the Battalion had dreaded this.
A girl with long white hair threw a man across the grove with a tentacle of green light; he hit a tree and crumpled. The white-haired girl looked horrified at what she had done; an agent of the Battalion shot a tranquilizer at her. She barely batted it away.
A girl with golden hair lunged and scratched an agent: this was Shade, Public Enemy #1. Abigail, the hostage, was holding tightly to the hand of a girl with medium-length brown hair. The girl's lip trembled for a moment before she shook her head roughly, sprouted Owl-like wings from her back, and whispered something to Abigail.
Meanwhile, a blonde, angelic looking girl hauled an agent into the sky and dropped the agent, screaming, to the ground. A girl with short brown hair- again with wings! Was angrily hitting a man with a copy of David Copperfield.
An agent grappled with a carbon copy of himself. It was a Forbidden; but all of the tranquilizer-wielders had no idea who was the real agent.
A girl with leopard ears clawed the face of an agent. A girl with floor-length brown hair undid pins to reveal that her hair wasn't just floor-length; it was roughly six feet long. She controlled it with her mind, lashing it so quickly that it cut agents near her.
Shade soon realized that they'd have to get out of there.
There were too many agents; as she watched, Saint and Booksy were tranquilized. They were being pushed towards each other, back to back.
Shade grabbed Leopard and Somebody, who had just been hit hard enough to cause her to lose concentration and revert to her real form, by the waists and flew into the air. "RETREAT!" she screamed. Keira created a bubble, levitating herself into the air. Owlgirl grabbed Abigail under the armpits and, to Shade, Keira, Somebody, and Leopard's shock, shot into the air like a comet. Shade and Keira struggled to keep up, and even with Shade's extra strength, she found herself tiring.
Shade was shocked at the size of the Battalion, and scared. There appeared to be at least a thousand, and in the whole True Guard there were 600 Battalions.
How many would be chasing them in the end?
Balea woke in a white cell. She had fallen unconscious right before Saint and Booksy; she wondered who else was here.
Balea walked to the edge of her cell, mostly asleep. Something felt wrong; light. The room itself was dim, but she kept thinking that it was light, too light...
She turned to the mirror in her enclosure and froze.
Her hair, all six feet of it, was reduced to a pixie cut.
No one was around to hear her scream.
Shade and Keira collapsed miles later. Somebody and Leopard were dropped on the ground unceremoniously, where they collapsed and lay there,
"Papercuts," Shade grunted affectionately, "They fell asleep."
Keira smiled. "Papercuts" was an affectionate insult used signaturely by Shade.
Owlgirl dove rapidly and dropped Abigail roughly. Abigail rolled onto the ground and shuddered.
"Th-that was fast!" she gasped. Owlgirl flew up to the rest.
"Hey GUYS! I just FLEW FASTER THAN I EVER HAVE BEFORE? Isn't that GREAT? I think I'll-"
Owlgirl promptly fell on her side and immediately went to sleep. Shade, Keira, and Abigail laughed.
That night, Shade watched numbly as a pool stretched out from her eyes. Her anchor, Curio, was gone. Forever.
She clutched the locket that Curio had given her until it carved a dragon-shaped imprint into her hand.
The Battalion was full of mixed feelings that night.
They brought three captives back with them, just enough to satiate Centurion Firelock.
Centurion Firelock was barely satisfied; of course, the Agents didn't know. Centurion Firelock's face was never shown to anyone; only the President herself knew what Firelock looked or sounded like.
As the President entered, the President and Firelock turned off the facemasks and voicemasks they used to hide their identity.
"Only three?" the President yelled.
"Yes," growled Firelock, "I'm going to have to fire quite a few workers."
The President nodded, satisfied. "I believe in you, Agent Firelock," the President said.
"Please," Firelock said, smiling a saccharine grin, "call me Curio."

Ooh! Plot twist!
I hope I'm not dead. . .
(July 7, 2016 - 7:43 pm)
Wow. I assume that's me being a traitorous double-agent stinker. On the plus side, though, that makes me a really good actress...however Shadow is probably going to literally kill me if she finds out...again, wow.
Koda says kack. Yes, Koda, that was my reaction too.
(July 7, 2016 - 10:50 pm)
Wow, PLOT TWIST!!!!
