WINGS OF FIRE

WINGS OF FIRE RP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need one of these again! Wings of Fire is such an awesome series! Btw, I'm Shadowmoon, and I go to school with Moonshadow. She told me about the CB, and I sort of adopted her name! Anywho, down to business. One thing I think I should probably mention is that we should try not to have spoilers in this, for people ( including me ) who haven't read the whole series yet. I think for this rp I'm not going to use a lot from the book. Let's pretend that this is YEARS ahead of the books. Like, centuries. Let's also pretend that the land is at peace. For now.
It is a time of prosperity for all dragon kind. All of the seven tribes are at peace. Almost every dragon is content and happy. Almost. For there is one, a Nightwing, who is bitter with hatred. He loathes all who are happy, all who love peace, with a hatred beyond understanding. His bitterness has pierced his heart and made him evil. He wishes for a surperior ribs of Nightwings, all with the abilities of the other tribes. He wants them to be water breathing, poison-tailed, big-winged, poison spitting, camouflaged, and deadly. So he works by night. He captures young dragon eggs and attempts to imprint their powers on to young Nightwings. He experiments with his monsters, and he works. And he waits. And he prepares. There is only a handful of dragons who fear Nightheart. They try to talk to the leaders, but they have gone soft from an easy life. So this small group of dragons take matters into their own claws. They form a group, the Lightbringers. They, too, steal dragon eggs, but this time for a good cause. They are preparing an army, to fight when Nightheart should return.
How about we try to have only 2-3 types of dragons. This is just a preference. Anyone may join at any time, and an organized person could make a character sheet. I will post my charrie sheet later.

Glop yelled at us again, reviewing the rules and telling us to be back for dinner. There was a new rule though: "All participants must fly or glide at least once, otherwise, they definitely won't be in the Skyforce. Except for those who have trouble flying," Thoughtstealer said. When we started, I was so excited. Thorn and I flew high, searching for Sardine and Glacia. It's time for a comeback. Thorn spotted them first, gliding low to the forest. We dove down, and stalked them. They were aware that we were planning to get them back, because they were looking around, being cautious and jumping at every little sound. Thorn hid in the treetops, following them silently, while I hid in the shadows, doing the same. When they jumped when a twig snapped. We struck. Thorn launched herself at Sardine, while I bit Glacia's leg. I spread my large wings, trying to block any fire breath, because I had slightly fire-resistant scales. But then I remembered that icewings and seawings don't breath fire. I made a circle of fire around us. Glacia started yelping because icewings hate hot temperatures. I hissed. Thorn was wrestling with Sardine. Thorn was struggling, and Glacia went up, trying to escape the heat. Sardine and Thorn rose as well. This was my element, my time to shine. I swooped rose up, hitting Glacia from below. Thorn turned invisible, and was scratching Sardine, little by little. I kept them from sinking down by swooping under them and biting their tails. I roared a roar of victory. Glacia and Sardine looked hopeless. I swooped down in time to catch a monkey. I ripped off the limbs to Thorn. She tried whacking the limbs at Sardine, but Sardine could now tell where she is. Thorn ate the meat off the limbs and spat the bones at Sardine. Slightly disgusting, but useful in battle. I dodge Glacia's attempts to slash at me. I let the fire rest in my mouth, warning her of my attack.

Glacia~

I wince, my whole body covered in small scratches. I'm starting to regret surprise attacking Shade during the Sea tests. She opens her mouth, fire blazing inside, and I fly out of the way just in time to avoid a column of searing fire. This throws me off balance and I hurtle towards the group, momentarily not in control of my wings. I'm about to hit the ground, when I finally gain control of my wings again. I streak away from the ground just in time, and I speed up to Sardine to help him. By this time I can tell that the battle is lost, and Sardine and I fly away. Oh well. My one consolation is that at least I dealt a few scratches. We still lost. I grit my teeth against the pain of my wounds, and can't hold back a small moan. Sardine glances over, takes stock of what I look like, and says "We should rest for a bit." I can't believe it. Sardine is actually being kind. My jaw hangs open, and I force myself to shut it. We descend onto a grassy hill next to a stream. Sardine gets into the stream, which seems to make him feel better, and I squeeze in my gut and breath a nest of ice. I may love to swim, but I'm still an Icewing at heart. I lie in silence for a bit, feeling my nest begin to melt. Then Sardine says "Glacia, why do we hate each other so much?" The question takes me by surprise. "Well," I respond hesitantly, "I always thought you hated me, and I guess I decided to return the favor. Why do you ask?" Sardine rolls over and stares at me, making me feel uncomfortable. "It's just, I always was jealous of you. You always seem to know the right answer to everything, and I always feel so stupid. I'm sorry for being such a jerk." This statement feels like a punch in the gut, and I literally fall over in surprised confusion. Sardine? Apologizing? This is ridiculous! I surreptitiously pinch myself, in case I fell asleep on my ice nest and I'm dreaming. After determining that I'm indeed awake, I mange to say "I..... I'm sorry to, Sardine. I never knew.... I always thought....." Sardine sticks out his hand. "Friends?" he asks. I take it, and through my shock I'm able to squeak "friends." Then we shake, and as we fly up into the sky I pinch myself once more, just in case.

"We did it!" Thorn squealed, watching them flying away to the shore. I couldn't hold back a smile. It was a success. "You know Thorn," I said. "You are a good fighter." Thorn's scales turned indigo, pink, and yellow, with the blobs of color bouncing around like a lava lamp inside her body. Then, I see some dragons stumbling in the distance. My thoughts partially distracted me. THORN LIKES ME! I signal her to prepare a suprise attack. Thorn's scales turned golden yellow, then started becoming invisible. I hid into the shadows again. It was a sandwing and a skywing. Thorn gathered some twigs and stuff, and we created a minature tornado around them, but with twigs and leaves hitting them if they dared escape. We did the same technique as the Seaforce test. After circling around and scratching them for a while, the dinner noise rung out. We stopped, and ran to the source of the noise where Thoughtstealer, Glop, and some other dragons were handing out fruits and meat. I chose a lambchop and a papaya. Thorn sat next to me and

In the morning, we did what normal life could be here, a bit of gossip here, some practice there, and a bit of laziness over here. Thorn and I stayed together, ate at the same table, practiced together, and did basically everything together. The sun started setting, casting a purply, pinky, and orangy look into the sky. The stars started coming out, and a bright fire attracted the dragons participating. Glop and Thoughtstealer gathered the dragonets around. "Today is the night test, the final test, and you will be assigned as soon as the analysers analyse the data and your activity," Thoughtstealer announced. Then Glop blew a sound through the conch shell, releasing the signal to start/stop. The dragons flew off, led by Seawings and Nightwings who can see in the dark. The final test had begun.

Glacia~
It is the day before the night tests. I'm feeling extremely jittery, and I can tell Sardine is too, even though he won't admit it. He's been acting strange lately. And by strange, I mean strange for Sardine, and by strange for Sardine I mean nice. I wonder if he actually wants to be friends, or if it's just some complicated scheme to do well in the tests....... But somehow I doubt that. Why would he go to all that trouble? I'm wandering around, when I spot Shade and Thorn. I take a deep breath and walk over to them. "Hi guys." They turn and look at me suspiciously. "So, I was thinking, we've been enemies for the last three tests, and we've attacked each other really well. But I was thinking...... What if we joined forces? We'd be practically unstoppable. Meet me at my dorm if your interested." And I walk away, hoping against hope that they'll join us.

I look at Thorn. "I think we should. They were pretty good," she whispered. I looked at her, then at Glacia with Sardine walking away. I nodded. "Lead the way," I said. She leaped over to them, shouting, "Hey waitup!" I couldn't hold back a smile. Typical Thorn. Stuborn and deadly like the plant part she is named after. I raced after her, and we entered the dorm. It was cozy, and a square about four adult dragons wingspans wide. A small pile of firewood was neatly stacked in the middle, with stone lined along the sides. I sat in a corner with Thorn on the opposite side of me. Glacia and Sardine sat on the other side of the dorm. "So," Sardine said, "we're teaming up?" I nodded, and with a small huff, I blew a small flame at the fire. It ignited, and made all of us have a wise appearence in the light of dusk. It was beautiful. I heard the "one-hour-to-prepare-for-test" warning from Glop's conch shell.

Your turn. Maybe we should have more people join. It is kinda nice that it's just the two of us, but it will probably be better with more people. Maybe not so much that there so many stories going out of control. Maybe a small group of like 5 or something.

Agreed. Micrearenice said she might join, so let's just keep going and see what happens. Besides, I've these tests are over, we can't exactly fight Nightheart with two people. ;)

Appearance: Orange; typical SkyWing colors

Personality: I haven't decided yet! I guess we'll see.

Reason for what side: Heh. Um, she doesn't want any other dragon flying as well as the SkyWings. Hey! I just thought of her personality! Haughty. But nice once you really get to know her.

Backstory: Hm, I dunno.
