Okey day!

Prologue~

The courtiers and all gathered whispered excitedly as the princes filed in to the throne room with their brides. The first prince to enter was Charles, the eldest, with his bride, Princess Arabella of the Hansa Lübeck province. Hansa Lübeck was once an independent country, with rulers like any other. 

But then they mysteriously disappeared, and Etrusia took the land for their own.  Arabella smiled and waved at the people, her golden curls bouncing as she walked. A small smile on her face, she charmed all there. Would the other girls be as enchanting? people asked.

Charles walked stiffly, but the expression on his face clearly told how happy he was, yet nervous. Today the heir would be proclaimed. Prince Charles, Prince Jacob, and Prince William. 

Prince Charles was the eldest, and a good leader and problem solver. However, he was not good with interacting with people, and the citizens of Northumbria did not favor him. Prince Jacob did not give himself credit for how good he was with many talents. Which unfortunately did not help him with the kingdom.

But Prince William was the people's favorite. He was intelligent (like all the princes), handsome, and very good at talking. Then Prince Jacob entered. 

Beaming, he led in Lady Rampion, with her shining red-gold hair. She bit her lip as she came in, but tried to smile. The rumor was that her voice was like a bird's, and that was what led Jacob to her. 

The crowd cheered when Prince William and Lady Elana entered the room. They both smiled at each other, than those in the room. Elana was breathtaking, with jet black hair and golden skin. 

Her beautiful smile lit up the room, causing all to sigh in appreciation at her beauty. It was a tradition among the Northumbrians that it was not the eldest or youngest heir, but the wisest. They would take a test that had been used by all generations since King Robert the III. 

But it all the princes had received the same scores. So their father, King Richard the IV, created a new challenge: The princes would venture into the world taking the same things. A horse, fifty kingli, and enough food to last at least a month. 

Nothing fancy, but things that would last and nourish. So the princes were commanded to go out into the wide world, and return home in a year's time with a bride, a fortune, and a tale, no matter how large.

And now they had returned, with a tale, a bride, and a fortune. Rumors surrounded all the princes and the journeys they had taken, but none knew what really was the truth. All were gathered to hear the tales that they were to tell. 

But would they tell the truth? Would their be any proof that went along with the tales? All asked the questions. But none knew.
