Graceling RP!
I've read Fire and Graceling so far and I'm planning on reading Bitterblue soon. I really love these books so I thought we could make an RP. I think it should take place in the seven kingdoms. You can be a Graceling or a human being if you want. And we can also have Monsters even though they technically live in the Dells. Should Leck still be alive during the RP?
Name: Cayenne
Age: 16
Appearance: Light blond, shoulder-length wavy hair; light skin; one green/brown eye and a gold one; medium height
Other: She's a Graceling with the power to turn invisible.
Please join!

Agreed. That took roughly 26 TOPs to get this thing to the top. REVIVE thread! Come back writers!

I'm fine with you bringing the RP with you, Gollum.

I will write a piece soon, but my fingers are swollen from shooting arrows. I will write later.

So, I'm making good on my word, and finally writing something now that the swelling has gone down. Though I still have a large, sore, blister on my finger. Why don't I have gloves? I'm not totally sure where we were, so I'm just going to go with it. I'm assuming we're still heading to stop Leck?

My mind was racing. I thought hard. Brenning had evidently been riding hard, but not for long. We were heading straight for Leck, and we were both likely closing in on each other. The thought made me shudder. Images of what he had done to the other serving girls flashed through my mind. Poor Bitterblue. How were we supposed to get to her if we were heading toward Leck? Why did Po want to head toward Leck? We were supposed to be helping Bitterblue!
"Why are we heading straight toward Leck. What about Bitterblue?" I demand coldly of Po.

So, I'll stop there. Not much, but if someone else wants to write... Btw, does anyone know what happened to Flaming Girl?
(August 12, 2013 - 5:05 pm)
In re Flaming Girl, I have no idea.
Brenning--
"At this point, Bitterblue is as disposable as a squirrel. Which is to say very," I say. The question Lottie asked was directed toward Po, but he wouldn't know anyway.
"On the contrary," Katsa says.
"What, you think we'll just use her as hostage? Well, that's a-" I stop and realize what I said, "very good idea."
"Not what I was thinking, but we'll go with it. I vote that we split up and take Bitterblue as ransom for Leck's surrender. Po and I can go to Leck, and the rest of you should go find the girl," Katsa says. She bats her eyelids at Po.
"Fine, that's just great," I say, "if we could find where she is."
(August 13, 2013 - 6:35 pm)
@Gollum- So did you go to the book signing? And did you print out the RP?
Cayenne-
"Fine, that's just great," Brenning says, "if we could find where she is."
"Well, that's not my problem, is it?" Katsa replies in her sweetest voice. And before any of us can yell an insult at her, she and Po are gone.
"Great. Now what do we do?" I loosen my hands on the horse reins. They're red and stiff.
"I think, I know where to look." Lottie speaks up shyly. Without awaiting an answer, she continues: "Bitterblue is very likely hiding in the forest outside of Leck City. But I don't know how to get there without being seen..."
Brenning smiles. "There's only one way. We have to cross the mountains."

Sorry it's short and not well written, I just am trying to get this thread going again!

That's me too. I'm just trying to get this thread up off the ground too.
Lottie ~
I was glad Po and Katsa were gone. I was getting a bit sick of those two. I looked up to where Brenning was pointing. The mountains rose high into the sky, seeming to scrape them. The holler between was wild and trecherous. No one passed through. At least no one who wasn't insane, desperate, or needing cover. Which I guess we were a bit of all of the above.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Bitterblue needs us," I said, turing my horse. The others followed suit. I wasn't sure what was waiting for us. Whether natural, or of Leck's doing. But I was prepared. Bitterblue had always been my friend, and had even helped me out of a scrape or two. I wasn't going to let her down.

It turns out that they had a poster from her coming there a year ago and I just happened to see it before the event last year. :-P

I'm back from the dead! I was just really lazy all summer and now I'm here. I'll try to post, but it'll probably be really bad.

As they planned a way to get Bitterblue, I thought. I had a single question running through my mind. When the conversation reached a lull, I voiced it out.
"Why can't we just save Bitterblue and kill Leck?"
(August 17, 2013 - 11:11 am)
I'll be gone for 3 weeks! PLease keep this going!
(August 22, 2013 - 12:31 pm)
*salut* Will do, Elizabeth!
Lottie ~
"Why can't we just Bitterblue and kill Leck?" Kira asked. I was of like mind. Leck was dangerous. Even if we could make him surrender, with that kind of grace, it wasn't likely he'd stay our captive for long. And we couldn't risk Bitterblue like that. The thought of making her go back to her father made me shudder.
"I agree with Kira, but we should focus on getting Bitterblue first," I said, urging my horse forward. The sooner we got to Bitterblue, the better, and night was falling fast. The others didn't object. Our horses were soon struggling upward. I wasn't sure how far in the journey the horses could make it.
"We should make camp," Cayenne suggested. We dismounted, and tied up the horses.
"Lottie, you start the fire," Brenning said. I winced.
"I'll do it," Kira covered for me. Brenning raised an eyebrow, but didnt' say anything else. Just as Kira was about to light the small pile of brush and twigs, there was a loud snap, and we all froze.
(August 22, 2013 - 9:15 pm)
Brenning-
There's a snap and I turn around quickly.
"Uh, hi guys," Po said shyly. "Can you remind me which way Leck was, seeing as you know exactly where he would be and all..." Po looks pointedly at me for the last part.
"It's that way," I say, pointing west.
"Uh, thanks."
"Po, honey?" I hear Katsa call loudly. I silently retch into the fire pit.

I stared up into the stretching darkness above me. I couldn't sleep for thinking about Bitterblue. How we had basically grown up together. We'd become friends, despite the difference in ranking. I knew one day she would make an excellent queen. A ruler far better than her father.
"We can't take the horses any farther," Brenning said. She was right. The climb here had to be made on foot. The path was too narrow, and the climb too steep and strenuous.
"There's an inn not too far from here. We can drop off the horses there," she continued. A ways farther revealed the inn, where we made arrangements with the innkeepers to keep the horses. We gathered our supplies into bags and placed the straps over our shoulders, and started onward. I just prayed we were not too late for Bitterblue.
