Graceling RP!
I've read Fire and Graceling so far and I'm planning on reading Bitterblue soon. I really love these books so I thought we could make an RP. I think it should take place in the seven kingdoms. You can be a Graceling or a human being if you want. And we can also have Monsters even though they technically live in the Dells. Should Leck still be alive during the RP?
Name: Cayenne
Age: 16
Appearance: Light blond, shoulder-length wavy hair; light skin; one green/brown eye and a gold one; medium height
Other: She's a Graceling with the power to turn invisible.
Please join!

Hey, I'm back. And I realized something. I think I said Lilac was blonde before, and I just realized she should have dark hair if she's a Lienid. Sorry about that.
Lilac-
I had slipped away when the first arrow was flung across the field. I knew they weren't just coming from nowhere. I was walking toward where it came from when a voice halted me in my tracks. It sounded low and rough, like a man's voice after he's out of breath from running. "Stop right there!" It rang out.
I looked back at the group. They didn't seem to hear the voice. The man the voice was coming from stepped out from behind a tree. He cleared his throat, then said it again. I felt my mind go fuzzy. "Leck!" was the last thing I remember coming out of my mouth. The only thing I remember was Brenning throwing a knife down from a tree, her eyes glazed over like I knew mine must be.

Ooh! Plot idea! Sorry if my post before didn't really make sense, Elizabeth's post hadn't come up yet.
Brenning-
Lottie has seen Leck. I clamber back to my horse, and backtrack until I meet up with Leck's reinforcements. Cole, whom I had pretended not to know, slaps me on the back.
"You're a nasty double crosser, Brenning." I fake bow, while on my horse.
"I try my hardest," I sigh.

@ Gollum; I had kinda wondered, so I tried to make it all flow together.
Lottie ~
We rode silently, each deep in their own thoughts. My leg throbbed, and it hadn't stopped bleeding yet. That, combined with my lip, made it pretty difficult, but I tried to hide it from the others. I thought about Brenning, and the way our eyes temporarily met. Why would she throw a knife at Katsa? It was obvious she didn't like her but... Then a chill went down my spine. What if it was more serious than any of us thought? Could Brenning be working for Leck? Her eyes weren't glazed over, the way they are when Leck hypnotizes someone, but that didn't mean she wasn't working for him of her own free will. Suddenly something else struck me. I halted my horse and looked around. I then noticed both Cole and Violet weren't with us. "Wait!" I shouted, causing everyone to jump. "Where are Violet and Cole?" That's when everyone else seemed to notice they weren't with us. Po looked grim, and Katsa's face was impassive. I knew we were all thinking the same thing. Leck. **********************************************************************
Taday! I hope this flows with everything that has happened. If not, go ahead and tweak it.

I'm going to leave it to Melody whether Violet is on Leck's side. I took the liberty of making Cole a Leck supporter because he hadn't really entered the story that much, and no one had actually made a bio for him or was posting as him.
Brenning-
Cole and I ride away as quickly as possible, hoping to ambush Katsa's group later in their journey. We had been riding for ages, when I looked over at Cole's horse. I saw something that didn't quite look like saddle bags anymore.
"Darn it, Cole!" Flash, my horse, rears, and I turn around to face Cole. His horse skids to a stop. "We weren't supposed to take hostages." The girl is struggling to talk against the gag, and after she wriggles under the ropes and turns towards me, I can see that Cole didn't take some random stranger. Violet is on the back of Cole's horse.

I'm going to wait on further development until Melody gets hold of this.

Melody reporting for duty, sir! And guys, her name is Lilac, not Violet.
Lilac-
The next thing I knew, I was tied up on the back of Cole's horse, riding alongside Brenning. I got the gag and ropes loose pretty quickly (ten years of training to become a spy comes in handy sometimes), I pretended to struggle to get Brenning to notice me. Her eyes went wide when she saw it was me. I quickly ripped the gag off.
"Yes, it's me, Brenning," I said, "You traitor!"
She looked down. "There's a reason."
I wanted to run away right now but Cole had handcuffed me to the horse. Just by glancing at the lock, I could tell it was not one I knew how to pick. "Cole, let me go right now," I told him. He just crossed his arms. I sighed again. I only wanted to do this if I had to. I took a deep breath and imitated the voice of Leck as I had heard it. "Cole, please unlock Lilac and let her free," I said, "She is not our prisoner."
His eyes glazed over, just like I hoped they would. "Yes, my King," he replied monotonously. Quickly, I was freed from the horse. Brenning hadn't said a word for as long as this was going on. I put a finger over my lips and darted away to find Katsa.

Sorry about the Violet/Lilac thing.
Brenning-
"And you're just going to let her go away like that?" I scream at Cole, after Lilac has run away into the woods.
"You said we weren't supposed to take prisoners," Cole mumbles.
"But now they know! They could ambush us at any minute! You should have checked with Leck!" I yell.
"Whatever. We'll be out of the Middluns by tomorrow night anyway," he grumbles.
"Idiot," I say. "You'll never get that promotion."
"Who cares about the promotion?" Cole turns around to look at me. "I never wanted this job anyway, the only reason was because my mother wanted to keep me clo-" He stops.
"Wait," I stop. "Your mother is Queen Ashen?"
"Now that I admit it, there's no stopping me hiding it." He shrugs.
"Gosh. You're an idiot. You don't just do things like that."
"So while we're confessing our lives out, why don't you tell me that secret reason about why you were a traitor."
"Well." I roll my eyes and stall. "I think that Katsa's prissy?" I say, unsure. Because how do you tell the Prince of Monsea that you're Leck's daughter?

Lottie ~
We had stopped, and ridden back to where the attack happened, but there was no sign of Lilac. "Do you think Leck could have gotten her?" Cayenne asked. I remained quiet, knowing the worse. Having seen Leck's power, and the army's and power he had in command, I had very little doubt as to where Lilac was. We were about to start riding again, having given up hope of Lilac being here, when something came running through the woods. Instantly, I drew my bow, as did everyone else. I knocked an arrow, and aimed toward the noise. Suddenly, Lilac burst out of the woods. I lowered the arrow. "Lilac!" Cayenne exclaimed, jumping down from her horse, as did Katsa and Po. "Cole. And Brenning," She panted, evidently having run the whole way. Katsa looked at me sharply when Lilac said this. I held her gaze. "They work for Leck," Lilac continued, a little slower now having caught her breath. Everyone darkened at this. "We need to keep moving then, Po said, gazing in the direction where Lilac had come from. "Lilac, you'll need to ride with someone (if I remember correctly and she has no horse currently, correct if mistaken). You'll ride with Lottie."
************************************************************************
And here I stop. Again, I hope this goes along with what's been happening.

Sorry, I haven't posted. I was really busy last week and on the weekend studying for a math test. Now it's over. *happy dance* And I can post! :D
Cayenne-
Lilac sits behind Lottie who's eyes have become glassy. her skin is pale and her entire pant leg is soaked in blood.
"We need to find a place to stop." It's the middle of the afternoon, almost evening, and the sun is deep in the sky, its yellow color melting into orange. Usually, we would sleep outside. But as we are being chased by Leck's people, we need to find an inn.
"There's an inn about three miles from here." Po states out of the blue. I notice how the rest of our group looks at him, suspicious and unsure.
"How did you know that?" Kira asks, her eyebrows raised as if she were a mother asking her children who broke her favorite vase.
Po shrugs. "I've been in this area before." He seems a little nervous as if there's more to it than just that. Some may believe him. I must admit he's a good lier but not good enough.
"I don't trust him." I whisper under my breath.
Katsa whirls around in her saddle and stares at me, her different colored eyes blazing. "What. Did. You. Say?"
"Nothing." I focus on my horse's brown-black mane.
"I hope so." She twirls a knife in her fingers for emphasis, then turns around again.
Three miles later, we stand in front of a run down, two-story house. One of the windows is broken and nailed up with boards. A few chickens squawk as we tie our horses to some trees in front of it.
"This is the inn?" Lilac wants to know. She and Kira help Lottie dismount. Lottie has passed out so Po carries her.
"Cayenne, go in and see who's there."
I open the door ever-so-slightly and slip in. The floorboards of the entryway creak under my boots. In front of me is a staircase. On the right wall is a tilted door. The entire house is dark and cold. I creep upstairs and find two other doors. One is closed. I move towards it and want to open it when I hear a shout. It's Po. "CAYENNE, GET AWAY FROM THERE!" But it's too late. Something hard knocks into my head and I fall to the floor.
(March 11, 2013 - 8:11 am)
Brenning-
"Sir," Cole says timidly, approaching Leck.
"WHAT? I haven't got all day! Now spit it out!" Leck says.
"I know of an inn near here, we could stop for the night. It'll be too dark to see anything, soon," Cole says.
"That's--" Leck looks like he's about to burst with anger, and then his face changes into an evil smile--"lovely." We ride to the inn, Cole leading the small caravan of only him, me, Leck and a few bowsmen. We come to a rundown house, and Cole stops.
"This is an inn?" Leck says in disgust, "It's a chicken coop."
"It's a place to stay, sir," I say.
"Fine. We'll make camp inside." We go inside, keeping our horses out in the back. A few minutes later, we hear muffled talking from the outside. Then, the wooden stairs creek, and I hear a voice that I now distinguish as Po's yell,
"CAYENNE, GET AWAY FROM THERE!" I hear a knock, and almost tumble down the stairs. I stop short, almost flipping over the railing of the stairs, when I see one of our bowsmen standing over Cayenne, with the butt of his sword poised over her head.

Lottie ~
I'd vaguely heard Cayenne mention stopping. Lilac still rode behind me. I looked down at my leg. It was blood-soaked and utterly throbbing. I was grateful when Po agreed. By the time we arrived at the inn, I was exhausted and nearly tumbled out of the saddle, and Kira and Lilac help me down. Po carries me inside, for everything was just a haze. I was just about to black out, when Po suddenly shouts,"CAYENNE, GET AWAY FROM THERE!" I lift my head to see Cayenne knocked over the stair rail, one of Leck's bowmen standing over her, his sword held over her head. Po nearly drops me into a seat, and runs forward. As do Katsa, Lilac, and Kira. I manage to stand and draw my bow and advance with the others. A group of bowmen surround us. I notch an arrow and pull it back, ready to fire. I glance up and spot Brenning leaning over the railing, watching. I tighten my grip on my bow. Kira stands beside me. No one moves, especially with lying there. Suddenly a voice wafts down the hall, sending a chill down my spine. I was scared and angry at the same time. I whip my bow to face the direction of the voice. The snake himself emerges. Leck. My fingers itched to release the arrow, send it flying straight into Leck. But I figured that would set the bowmen firing on us. Leck smiled and moved forward.

Lilac~
"Leck, get out of here," I start to tell him in his own voice. He gets bleary-eyed and starts to nod, but then he snaps out of it.
"You can't try that on me, girl," he says. "It's my power to control. I'm just here for the prince. He's run away from home and I need to return him." Po, run away from home? That doesn't seem to ring a bell, but Leck seems really concerned. Po's mouth turns into a grimace. He looks straight at Katsa, who then steps in front of him, knives out. "Grab me and carry me away if I start to go under his spell," she whispers to him.
Spell? Leck... Spell... The man's a liar with a dirty Grace! I knew that! But if Po's family wants him, I meant disobey them. I am a Lienid through and through.
What if Leck is really lying? I need to get away from here and confront Po when I'm in a good frame of mind. It's the logical thing to do. I backed away. "Leck, let us just run away, far from here," I say in his voice. "You don't need us."
Po's frown curls upward. "How are you still lucid?" Both him and Leck ask at the same time, Leck with considerably more alarm.
Leck nods at one of his archers. The last things I hear are:
"Not another injury." (Katsa)
and
"How was she not obeying Leck?" (Po)

Cayenne-
I wake up in a dark room. The only light is coming from the glow of some cooling coals. I hear voices but my ears seem clogged so I can't hear them. I attempt to sit up but lie right back down as my stomach churns and the dull pain in my head becomes sharp. I study my surroundings and that's when I notice two other people, one on either side of me. Althogh it's dark, the one looks like a Lienid and the other is small like a child. I know them. I think. But who are they?
Lilac and Lottie.
I begin to panic. Their bodies are so still almost as if they're-
"Cayenne, they aren't dead." A door opens and light floods into the room. "How do you feel?" Po sets a pitcher of something down next to me.
"I've felt better before. What happened? I heard this voice and then..."
"Leck." Po's voice is dark. "Brenning and Cole were there, too. Lottie almost bled to death but she'll be okay... Lilac is sleeping." He answers my unspoken question that has been going through my mind since I woke up. "She saved our lives."
"How?" I take a cup of water from Po's hands and drink. My throat feels like sandpaper and I empty the cup in one swallow.
"That's what we need to ask her." At that moment, Lilac stirs.
