Graceling RP!
I've read Fire and Graceling so far and I'm planning on reading Bitterblue soon. I really love these books so I thought we could make an RP. I think it should take place in the seven kingdoms. You can be a Graceling or a human being if you want. And we can also have Monsters even though they technically live in the Dells. Should Leck still be alive during the RP?
Name: Cayenne
Age: 16
Appearance: Light blond, shoulder-length wavy hair; light skin; one green/brown eye and a gold one; medium height
Other: She's a Graceling with the power to turn invisible.
Please join!

Brenning-
This girl, Kira, has requested to go on our mission. I take a knife out of my pocket, and point it at her, ready to throw it with deadly accuracy at a moment's notice. Po takes out a sword,
"She's a friend," he says. I twist my knife blade over and the sword falls out of his hand.
"The penknife is mightier than the sword," I say.
"I've known her all my life," the girl with the lip says.
"Huh," I laugh. "For all we know, you could be a traitor too, ready to infiltrate and take over Randa's court." It's not like I like our king anyway, but it's always safer than going against him.
"Brenning," Katsa reprimands. "There's no need to be hostile to everyone we meet."
"Fine," I say. "If you want to stay here and try to be democratic, then you can do that." I turn towards the door. "I'm going to Leck's court.

We'll, at least we're acknowledged as coming. Though, not everyone's happy about it. Not that I blame them. They feel the same way about Kira and I, as I feel about them. Though it's starting to change. I don't trust them entirely, though I can tell I don't have to worry around them. I won't tell them my secrets, especially what my grace is, at least not yet. But I can tell I can depend on them. They're strong. But I'll be watchful of Brenning. I can tell Kira will be too. Po says we'll leave first light the next morning. "Fine by me," I say, pushing myself up. Po looks at me, I can't read his expression. Then everyone but Kira leaves. I would be ready to face Leck.

@ Flaming Girl, how have I done reintroducing Kira?
(February 20, 2013 - 10:10 pm)
I really like how you introduced her. Sorry I haven't posted any storyline stuff. I just haven't had any good ideas. I'll do a little post now. Is it ok if I do it in first person
I glance at Lottie. "Are you sure about these people?"
"Not entierly, but I think they are okay." Lottie replies. I feel a bit worried. I respond, "Just don't get to friendly with them. We might need to kill a few at some point."

Brenning-
I storm into the vacant room, grab the map and my bag, and walk out to the stables. I saddle up my horse, and ride into the woods.
I gallop along for a few hours, until the sun is too low for me to see the incoming trees (I learned that the hard way). I stop the horse, and take off the saddle. I use the reins to tether her to a tree. I unpack my bags, and lean against a tree. I dream of death.

Early the next morning we packed up and left. I found out Brenning had left. I thought about what Kira had said the night before, about not getting too friendly, not sharing my secrets, possibly having to kill a few. At first that made me sad, though, I wasn't really sure why. I hardly knew these people. So they'd sewn up my lip, that didn't make me indebted to them. And I could tell these people didn't trust me either. I rode silently along behind the others, thinking. I came to a decision. If it came to it, I'd do what's needed. Like Kira.
Okay, I stop here. @ Flaming Girl; Quick question. Do you want Lottie and Kira to be friends or sisters? I'm cool with either.
Cappie says ruff. Does he mean Ruff Ruffman?
(February 22, 2013 - 4:22 pm)
I was thinking we could be sisters of sorts. Maybe step-sisters would be good because we don't resemble each other very much. We could have the same mom, but my dad died. Maybe.
Spamdragon says ocam. Is that some sort of webcam thing?
(February 24, 2013 - 2:14 pm)
Sounds good to me!
Cappie says grof. Do you mean frog Cappie? Cause I really don't like frogs.

Sorry I haven't been posting. I've had a lot of tests and stuff.
Cayenne-
We set off the next morning. Without Brenning. Nobody seems to know where she went but I know from experience that she usually comes back after she cools off. Hopefully. It would be good to have a graced knife-thrower on our mission.
When we start off, the tips of the sunrays have just begun to touch the horizon. The air is cold and not even the birds are awake. We slender to the stables and everyone begins to saddle our horses. That is, everyone except me.
"I don't have a horse." I complain. Although I'm sure that I'm invisible, Po looks directly at me.
"I've got a horse for you." He gestures to a dark stall. I can see the faint movement of a very large animal. I've never liked horses. They're too big and you can easily get your toe broken if you step too close.
"It'll be okay. Shimmel is a very nice horse." Po tells me as if he's read my thoughts. I am beginning to think that Brenning was right, he isn’t graced with fighting.
I near the horse that is already saddled. His fur is speckled, making it seem almost dirty and he’s small, more like a pony than a horse.
We start off, Katsa leading us. Her horse pants heavily as she kicks his sides, urging him on down the dusty road. I wonder how long it will take until he collapses.
“Katsa! Calm down. This isn’t a race. That horse is already about to die from exhaustion.” Surprisingly, Katsa slows down until she’s riding next to Po. They smile at each other in a way that only lovers do.
I notice that my horse is nervously dancing at the end of the line. His ears bent back, his pace becoming faster. I pull on the reins and whisper: “Slow down.” But he doesn’t. “Slow down.” I command, louder now. But he’s racing and suddenly I’m lying in a ditch with grass in my hair and dirt in my mouth. I hear a laugh and see Violet’s face above me.
“You didn’t tell me you’re afraid of horses.”
Okay, this doesn't really go anywhere... Sorry. :)

I watched, slightly amused, as Cayenne sits up. She smiles weakly. I guess that means she's okay. I myself am on a dark brown horse, with a white patch on hits forhead that looks like a star. I suppose that's how it got it's name, Twilight. I gently pat it's neck. I'm rather used to horses. I've ridden on them most of my life. I watch as Poe checks on Cayenne. Instantly my smile fades. I don't trust him. If there was anyone here I'd worry about, it was him. I don't think he's honest about his grace. The way he can almost read thoughts. It was unnerving. I could tell Kira felt the same way. We'd both keep our eyes on him. We rode on, Cayenne and Violet talking among themselves, Po and Katsa riding in the front. Kira rode next to me. She leans in; "Did you hear him in the barn?" I nodded. The way he'd practically known how Cayenne felt. Odd. Suddenly the hairs on my neck stood up. I knew we were being watched. I looked around. Suddenly...
Okay, so, the thread needs a little reviving. So what better way than some action?

Cayenne-
Suddenly an arrow whizzes past Lottie's head. Kira, who's riding next to her, grabs her bow and arrow and shoots into the darkness behind us.
"I can't see anyone." I yell, peering into the darkness. Another arrow soars an inch past Katsa's head. Both Po and Katsa turn their horses around. Katsa has an arrow notched in her bow and Po holds a sword. It's quiet as if the world were holding its breath. Who-
An arrow grazes the flank of Shimmel and he throws me off in fear. I hear a shriek behind me and see Lottie hopelessly trying to calm her horse. An arrow pierces Po's arm. Katsa angrily shoots a volley of arrows at our attackers who we still can't see. Lottie's friend Kira does the same. All I hear around me is the whistling of arrows. I get up and turn invisible. I run past Katsa and Po. He's just managed to wrench the arrow out of his arm. Blood is already soaking his sleeve.
"I can't read them, Katsa. It's as if their mind's are blank." He whispers. I hear another scream and see Lottie fall from her horse. I race towards her. Kira has dismounted and is squinting at her leg. As I get closer I see a deep cut, as if the arrow dug into her skin and then kept flying.
"It was a knife." Lottie exclaims, her voice shaking. "I don't know where it came from. It's as if they're all invisible."
I'm visible again. "Do you think you can get on a horse?"
Lottie shrugs. "Maybe. I think so." She studies her wound and her face turns a little green.
"Cayenne, you can turn invisible. Run to where the arrows are coming from. Fast!" Without another word, I sprint into the fog that surrounds us.
Got to go. Sorry, it's short.

Brenning-
I hear a crunch of leaves, and some whispering. I climb a tree, hoping to get a better sense of where the sound is coming from. I hear Po's voice reprimanding Katsa, and I smirk. She never was one to ride horses.
I leap from tree to tree, until I'm right over their path. Cayenne falls into a ditch, and I resist giggling. Lottie stops, and waits. I can sense that she knows I'm watching them. As she turns up toward the tree, and I barely make eye contact with her, I throw a long knife at the redicolously wide brimmed hat Katsa's wearing. She screams, and falls off into a patch of mud.

Lottie ~
I hear a rustle up above, as Cayenne gets up, and for a brief moment, I make eye contact with Brenning. She throws a knife at Katsa, causing her to fall. I was about to shout at her, when an arrow shoots past my head. My horse starts to buck, giving me no opportunity to draw my bow. Kira has already started firing. As far as I can tell, there's nothing to shoot at. For a moment, all is still. Then an arrow grazes Cayenne's horse, sending her flying. Suddenly Twilight goes nuts. I scream and try to calm the horse, but to no avail. Katsa and Kira shoot volleys of arrows into the dark. Suddenly, a knife comes out of nowhere, and shoots through my leg. I fall off my horse, and hit the ground hard. Kira has already dismounted, and is looking at my leg. Cayenne, turning visible, asks if I can mount. I answer yes, though my bloody wound makes me slightly lightheaded. Po orders Cayenne to turn invisible and she dashes into the fog. I look up again. Brenning is nowhere to be seen. Cayenne comes back out of the woods, shaking her head. "Nothing," she reports. Katsa is already tending Po's wound, and Kira mine. I think for a moment. Then say; "Brenning threw that knife at yo, Katsa." She starts then looks at me. "I saw it," I say darkly. "She was in the tree just above us, and I was about to yell, when she threw the knife, then the arrow came out of the woods." I look her in the eyes. Po stares intently at me, then nodds. "She's right." Katsa looks at him for a moment, like some silent conversation, making me all the more suspicious. I then think back to Brenning. We might have to kill some off. Kira's words echo in my mind. We mount and start riding again, more alert than ever. But I don't forget Brenning. I stay alert especially for her.
