I had my first Quiz Bowl competition today, and my team absolutely crushed it. Also, I got a question about Simon and Garfunkel right, which means my boomer music taste has served me well. Thus, I am extremely happy. =D

-my hand

-my leg

-his brother's face

-christmas decorations

-the fake plants in my room

-the real plant in my room

-a candy wrapper

-another candy wrapper, with candy in it

-pizza

-scissors

and has sucessfully eaten/drank:

-a cheeto

-broccoli

-peas

-cardboard

-toilet water

-noodles

-hair

Okay okay question for you all. Does the word "unlockable" mean:

(1) un-lockable---unable to be locked

(2) unlock-able---able to be unlocked

(3) both of the above

(4) mysterious option number four

(5) depends on context

I can't say no to option four... but I've never thought about this before but I think it could probably go both ways

this reminds me of the list of words (YES I HAVE A LIST I AM A NERD WHAT IS YOUR POINT) I keep that are basically redundant with a prefixed or suffixed version of themselves: like regardless + irregardless, strewn + bestrewn, anyway + anyways, toward + towards, catenate + concatenate, ravel + unravel, first + firstly, second + secondly (and etc), jiff + jiffy, comportment + deportment, obtrude + intrude, hyperbolic + hyperbolical, personate + impersonate, philosophic + philosophical—

*deep breath* I think that's all I have so far but if y'all ever find any more please let me know :D

How bout among/amongst? Would that work in your context? My dad and I love to debate over if there a difference in those ones! :D

I feel like if there is a difference "among" is more you're layered on people/just there (can't rly explain it) and "amongst" is more like you're surrounded/interwoven/interacting by/with people??? Just based on the feel of the word though. But I don't rly think there's a difference besides, like, modern uses and stuff or whatever (and Ik I had more than just that one but can't think of them rn sry)
