I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

I do not like socratic seminars. I hate them so, so much. They're not even fair. The louder people are the ones who do all the talking and get all the good grades while the quiet people are left behind, unable to get a word in edgewise. Why do teachers like them so much? I always fail them, and I get really anxious, because this is a huge portion of my grade, based on if I talk a lot. In a room full of twenty kids all trying to do the same thing, many of which are much, much, more skillful at forcing their way into the spotlight than I am. It's terrible.

So a friend recommended a book to me and I started reading it and then he asked me what my favorite character is and I told him and he just winced and went "...oh" and I was like "wait what does that mean" and I finished the book and NOW I KNOW WHAT HE MEANT BECAUSE THAT CHARACTER FLIPPING DIED
IN THE MOST HEARTBREAKING WAY POSSIBLE, NO LESS
THE BOOK WAS ONLY 180 PAGES HOW HAS IT WRECKED ME THIS BADLY

The Outsiders, by S. E. Hinton. That book is a beautiful sucker punch.

Yeah, I haven't been able to stop thinking about sunsets and "Stay gold, Ponyboy" and Dallas Winston crumpling under a street light since I finished it. (Was that friend trying to emotionally destroy me?)
