Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

I hate when the people who write book introductions just assume we've already read the book. Why do they do that? It's ruined so many good books for me.

I'm just sitting here reading this introduction, learning who's gonna seize control and who's gonna die and how it's gonna end, and I- well, I guess there's no point in reading the book now. I know everything that happens anyway.

*grumpiness*

Instead of doing a cute list of "This Year vs. Last Year" with little doodles in fun colors I do it Pokémon-evolution style. Had a classmate evolve from Level 1: Genderfluid Keebler Elf to Level 2: Track Star Ferris Bueller Cosplayer in one year.

I probably analyze my classmates more than they analyze themselves.

I analyze everyone more than they analyze themselves, probably. ;)

Me too...

Hotel Deucalion, Nevermoor, here I come. Maybe Asgard, Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, the Shire, or Neverland?

Anything but here.

On my 11th birthday, my dad gave me a "letter from hogwarts" and a owl stuffy. It was awesome but kind of sad.

Is there a word for that very specific feeling you get when you're rereading a series and since you've read the later books you know things the characters don't, and I'm not talking big plot-twisty things, where a character will be like "but who are my birth parents???" and you already know, I'm talking about that feeling when the narration will casually mention a skiing accident, and all the characters are just like "okay moving along" and you're vibrating in your chair because you know what it really means, or like when the author mentions an object for the first time, and you now know that it's the same object that the characters use to sacrifice themselves in a fiery explosion in the sequel, or it'll turn into a symbol of these two characters' devotion to each other by the end of the book, but right now it's just a cigarette lighter or a blue hair ribbon, and none of the characters know but you do

I don't know of a word, but I know the feeling.
