POLITICS THREAD!!!!!!
POLITICS THREAD!!!!!!
This is a place for us to state, debate and discuss politics! I encourage everyone to do so rationally and maturely, and would ask that all participants would refrain from abuse, even when in the heat of an argument, and that some of the more mature subjects would not be presented here. The Admins wll not publish any inappropriate comments.
However, I would discourage anyone from participating if they are easily offended, or dislike having their views challenged.
This may not be a popular idea, but I wanted to give people a chance to present their views and discuss the larger issues in our world today. I hope that this idea takes, and that it will also be enjoyable and informative! :)
I will begin by introducing a topic that is curently at large in America, but is also, I believe, appropriate for CB. I would ask the Admins to correct me if I am mistaken. :)
So-- what do you all think about the idea of including women in the military draft?
This thread is now closed for new comments.

Bullying is not okay, and neither is teasing. Even if other people can't eliminate it for good, you should look at things optimistically and try to stop teasing around you. If everyone does their part, the future will be a better place. Please, don't give up all hope just because things aren't instantly improving.
As for Trump, he says very mean things about everyone who isn't like him, so I would vote for Clinton just because she's the only other choice. The lesser evil, you could say. I don't want a bully for a president.

According to a very reliable website that I can't name because Admin won't allow it, it says:
In some cases, when bullying is based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or religion*, bullying overlaps with harassment and schools are legally obligated to address it.
Yes, it is against the law! Schools are legally obligated to address it!

Schools. Not Goverment.

YES, CHO!

@ Pearl
This is what I personally disagree with Trump on. Now remember, I am 12, and I don't really follow any political junk, cause, well, I have better stuff to do, so I don't really aide breaking news on the subject.
Trump seems to be very predjudiced against other races. He thinks that people are different just because of the color of their skin. I don't understand that. I am white, but I have several friends who ARE NOT. They are no different than me. Yes, they follow different religions. Yes, they have different colored eyes and hair. But are they really different? They have brains. They have souls. People come back from Trump rallies full of hatred and predjudice for these people, who are no different than themselves. Trump says 'Make America great again', but what he's really doing is tearing the nation apart. This is why I really don't like him.

Beautifully put. *applauds*

YAASSS! Now that you mention it, I didn't notice that about Pearl's post.
Coco and I have a couple of friends who are Asian. They're adopted. And their brothers are racist.
Yes, racist to their own sisters.
And their parents can't/don't see it.
The reason why?
Because the boys are so good at covering it up.
(May 7, 2016 - 8:47 am)
Legally obligated! That sounds like the law to me.

And I still just can't grasp--Why does Pearl think that bullying is okay?
(May 7, 2016 - 7:36 pm)
Pearl, why do you think that bullying is okay?
(May 8, 2016 - 7:35 am)
@Pearl:
I won't go into a fit if you had said that not everything Trump does is horrible, even though I do believe a lot of it is. But "nothing wrong with Trump" I will say I disagree with.
Before I go into that, I would like to say that you did make a pretty good point about paying attention to other candidates.
Back to Trump. What is wrong with him? He has said many racist things, to start. I will list some things, and the first retort that pop into my mind, because I always end up thinking that whenever I am stating evidence or making an argument. Racist stuff including, but not limited to:
-The Justice Department sued his company — twice — for not renting to black people. The lawsuit charged that the company quoted different rental terms and conditions to black rental candidates than it did with white candidates, and that the company lied to black applicants about apartments not being available.
But that was his company, not him.
Well, he did have something to say about it, though it wasn't an apology. He called the accusation "absolutely ridiculous” and sued the Justice Department for $100 million in damages for defamation.
must go now. Only got through one example...

Even if it is the schools and not the government, they are still LEGALLY obligated to intervene. Legal means law, so…
(May 8, 2016 - 5:00 pm)
And who do you mean by "they?" I simply said that government shouldn't interfere with day to day activities because they have more important things to worry about. Also, I have NEVER heard such things about Trump.
Hey, CayketheCook. Sorry if I seem like I hate people for having
different views, but I just feel like more people should keep track of
everything that's going on.
As for the merriment and friendship, I've been isolated almost my entire
life and find it rather difficult to accept stupid conspiracy theories
that men "hate" women. Seriously? Boys can't hit girls but girls are
allowed to punch boys in the face because they think that boys might be trying to tease them about their gender? Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to you all.
