She has short, fluffy, white hair that is all over her head, very light blue eyes that seem almost clear, and pale skin. She is petite and thin.  She wears a short and silver dress that goes to her knees. She is barefoot due to the fact she was raised by spirits. She wears fingerless gloves to help her grip things. She has double moon peircings on each ear and lots of rings on her long fingers. The only real natural color on her is her blue lips.

3. Background

She has no parents. She was born from a full moon's light on the strongest lunar eclipse ever encountered. She has lived in the forest traveling to where fate leads her. She is blind but can see in a different way. She has no family or friends and the villages think she is a daemon and give her no help at all. When she meets Fable Thatcher, her true self is revealed.

She just wanders around till she meets Fable, and realizes what her destiny is.   

5. Attitude towards main character

She thinks Fable is amazing and feels her pain even if they have different situations. But is also annoyed by her shyness.

6. Strengths or special abilities

She is a nightling, one of many, born of the moon. She is blind but can see at night. She has no relatives. She understands the universe and how things work. She likes the dark and night. She can sense spirits and things before they happen. She is a spirit in a way and cannot die unless killed or her power is drained. She never ages. She stays at the age of 13 her entire existence.

7. Fears, weaknesses, or secrets

She is blind during the day and can be agressive and selfish. She fears the sun.

8. How is the sidekick helpful?

She can see the unseeable things in their surroundings and can see in the dark which helps them to travel at night. She is also a great friend and help to Fable.

To find someone she can explore the world with and they understand her and teach her too.

10. Your Crowd-Sorcery Sentence(s)

Luna tiptoed through the forest with a solem look on her face even though she was smiling in her heart. It was quiet and the moon shone as brightly as the sun but even brighter and evern more beautiful. She inhaled the warm summer air and let herself fall backwards onto the soft grass. This was truly the only time she was completely happy. She had no one. No parents. No siblings. No friends. All alone. Except for the moon which she only saw at night. Her smile melted into the solem look on her face. 

Luna felt her tears well up in her eyes and she let them flow from her face to the ground. Would she ever be rid of this life? Sleeping or traveling during the day in the horrid light of the sun and frolicking in paradise at night with the moon. She curled up and cried. Why couldn't she have been born like a normal person, to parents? To a family? It wasn't fair that she had been born from moon dust on a lunar eclipse. She didn't ask for this lonely life. But it was her life.

She was a nightling, one of many, born of the moon or of darkness. She was blind and could only see at night as long as she had the light of the moon. The moon guided her to where fate would lead her. Fate. Why should it be in charge of her? She didn't know. All she knew was that it was in charge of her. So she would follow it. She closed her eyes and still letting her tears flow, fell asleep.

This isn't an entry. I have a question.

Is there a time limit for the threads? Do they have to be done by October? When are they going to be unavaliable to write?

 I'm not sure if the above threads will be closed or if you'll still be able to comment on them, but no new characters will be considered after the above dates. I do think it's fascinating to read about all the characters people have created and imagine each in a story of his/her own. . . .

Name: Maria Matthews

Appearance: Long ivory hair, one green colored eye and one crimson colored eye. Her crimson eye is covered with an eyepatch. She wears a blue dress, white leggings, a white belt around the waist, brown boots, and a white cloak with a hood big enough to cover her face.

Background: Kitara is the descendant of Medusa. Because of this, she has inherited the power to turn people to stone by looking at them with her one crimson eye. Her parents knew this when she was a child and gave her an eyepatch to cover the one eye but they were scared of her and tended to ignore her. This severly affected her childhood. One day she was playing with friends when her best friend, April, insisted on her taking off her eyepatch. Of course, Kitara said no but this only made April's curiosity to grow. She reached up and before Kitara could stop her, she yanked off the eyepatch and stared deep into the entrancing crimson eye. Before anyone knew it, she was turned stone. Once the villagers found this out, they became enraged and attacted the poor girl. They drove her out of town and now she was alone in the world. She swore that day to use her special abilities to protect everyone, even the peopel who fear her.

Occupation or Trade: She is a currently doesn't have an occupation. She just picks up odd jobs as she travels.

Attitude to main character: She thinks of Fable as a sister, never wanting to hurt her and always wanting to keep her safe.

Strengths or special abilities: She can turn people to stone by uncovering her crimson right eye. She also tends to use daggers to fight.

Fears, weaknesses, or secrets: She fears that she will harm everyone she loves.

How is the sidekick helpful: She is very good in combat and if she consetrates hard enough, she can stop time for about a minute.

What does the sidekick want most: To gain family and friends who won't fear her.

Crowd sorcery sentence:

"H-Help me!" I stop in my tracks once I hear the small scream. I rush to where I heard the shout, my cloak fluttering behind me. When I finally reach my desitination, I see a couple of teenage boys beating up a small girl. I rush forward and draw my daggers, slashing at the first boy I reach. He falls back in shock, his back cut but not too badly. I knock out the rest of the bullies and rush over to the shaking child but one of the teens jumps up and pulls back my hood, untying the strings for my eyepatch as well. I spin around and glare at the boy, my crimson eye glowng, as he is caught up in my entrancing stare. He only looks away to stare in horror as his body slowly turns grey and stiffens until he is turned into stone. When the other boys see this, they look at me in fear and rush away into the shadows. The glow in my eye dissapears and I stare in shock at what I have done. I quickly cover my eye and look over at the little girl I have saved. She stares at me like I'm a freak, tears welling up in her eyes. She jumps up and rushed off, most likely to tell her parents. Now alone, I quietly sheath my weapons and tie my eyepatch back on my face. I walk out of the alley and look over at the statue I just made, his final moments of fear now frozen on his face for eternity. I walk away and pull my hood back over my head.

2. Appearance

He looks like a grim reaper. His billowy black cloak that resembles smoke, he has no feet, you can't see his face, his hands look like empty gloves, but his voice is VERY soothing. He seems to be made of warmth, and his voice is like a deep bell. It kind of rings you into a trance. 

3. Background

He failed in the grim reaper business. He took pity on too many dear souls. 

4. Occupation or trade

He can do pretty much anything. He specializes in calming anybody. 

5. Attitude toward main character

Calm acceptance 

6. Strengths or special abilities

He can seep under doors, unless somebody is blocking it. 

7. Fears, weaknesses, or secrets

He is deathly afraid of ice. It burns him. He also used to take a unnatural joy in murdering people, and when over stressed, it revives. He had a very dark past. 

8. How is the sidekick helpful?

he can calm anybody, seep under doors, and can hear everything. 

9. What does the sidekick want most?

To finish here on earth and finally become an angel, the last stage in his journey.

10. Your Crowd Sorcery Sentence(s)

Theodoric billowed across the sand. He was in a happy mood. He wanted to grab somebody and calm and hug them until they passed out, and feel the snaps of their breaking ribs. Then he would rob them. Theodoric jerked, then started panicking,if it was even possible for him to of that. His past! It was coming back! No wonder he saw a faint skeleton in the mirror this morning! He rushed accross to Fable, who was enjoying herself thoughly.  

This character is up for use by anybody who wants to use it.

Twila Woodsverl 

2. Appearance

She has a small nose, pointed ears elf-ears, soft green eyes, and long brown hair in a loose braid. She is covered by short brown fur, and has a small tail. She smells of rain-washed days, spring, and wood. She wears a gray-green, mottled cloak, a tank-top-like shirt, ragged trousers, and a bracelet woven of leaves, vines, wooden charms, and old string she found. 

3. Background

Twila is half-elf and half-fox-brownie. Her mother, the elf, was an archer in the elven war and died soon after childbirth. Her father was devastated, and so left the foxes to care for her while he searched for her mother's body. He never came back .

4. Occupation or trade

Twila is a herbist, but she rarely finds people to sell her rare herb-medicines to. Mostly she survives through scavenging.

5. Attitude toward main character

Not sure, sorry. 

6. Strengths or special abilities

Agile, good with herbs, knows the forest, a GREAT shot with a bow, can speak to foxes . 

7. Fears, weaknesses, or secrets

Twila secretly has a special place where she keeps her mother's things. It is her haven, her special place to sleep when the weather's bad.  

8. How is the sidekick helpful?

She' a great fighter, great with a bow and arrow : put a bow in her hands and point out the target, and she'll hit it in five to six seconds. She also is good with herbs, knows the forest, and can speak to foxes . 

9. What does the sidekick want most?

Her mother back, privacy, and the forest to stay safe and well. 

10. Your Crowd Sorcery Sentence(s)

Twila pushed the curtain of ivy aside and stepped inside the cave. She clambered upwards. Soon she reached the top. Up there, there was a crumbling tower with a fountain. She went in. Mossy walls reached up to the crumpling celling. The fountain, full of murky water, sported koi fish , algae, and lily pads. In the corner was a bed frame she had woven of twigs. On it was moss, leaves, and pelts. Twila was sure to change them frequently. All her mother's things filled the tower : old, worn leather quivers, elven tunics, jewelry, and, best of all, her mother's dairy.  

It's delightful to see more new Sidekicks here! Araceli Lumine -- who serves to represent all you Sidekicks in the official Crowd Sorcery story -- sends her greetings to you all! She remembers her days here, waiting in this queue and hoping to make it into a story. She is having a wonderful time in the story's pages. She got to meet Fable Thatcher recently -- which you can all read about this winter in CRICKET! Lumine's wish for you all is that someday you are in stories of your own. 2) Appearence

Coal black skin and hair with one blue eye and one brown eye. She wears a dirty brown dress. She also has a scar in the shape of a snake on her wrist. 

3) Background 

Her parents died when she was ten from the illness that was sweeping the land*. She became a kichen maid. One day when she was emptying the trash she found a piece of parchment with her mother's name on it. It said that she was half snake and she could change by saying "hissy hissy little snake, snake inside me come awake" and return to human by saying "snake snake I must go for winter comes and cold winds blow" so she lived as a snake for several months. 

4) Trade

She worked as a kichen maid till she found the letter then she moved in with the snakes and helped them hunt. 

5) Attitude towards the main character 

She found Gwinavere when she was hunting. She changed into a human and made friends with her. She really admires her, but is not afraid of her.

6) Special abilities 

She can turn into a snake, which is her power, and she is wonderful at sword fighting.

7) Secrets and fears

Secrets: Her power to change into a snake but she found out from an old snake that her mother was the old queen but the King's adviser had convinced him to divorce. Fears: She is afraid the King's adviser might want revenge and the illness* and that her powers to change will run out.

8) How she is helpful

She is smart, fast, and is willing to help anyone but the King's adviser's family. She can read and write. Once she even helped the king plan and win a battle. 

9) What she wants most  

She wants to be the King's adviser and be young forever. 

10) Crowd Sorcery Sentences  

"Hissy hissy little snake snake inside me come a wake," Nura whispered; instantly she felt her body shrink and grow longer, and her hair and dress vanish and be replaced by small green scales. The next moment she was slithering (it was a strange feeling like running on your belly) toward the nearest forest. 

*called uama which means silent death.  

1. Name : Rowena

2. Appearance: Pale skin from having never seen the sun. Wavy dark red hair reaching to her waist. Amber eyes with flecks of gold. She is tall and slender, clad in a dark, metallic silver tunic. The tunic has three quarter length sleeves and falls just below the knees. The skirt is full, spinning out when she turns. The whole tunic is covered in pockets. She is barefoot, and owns no coat. She wears only fingerless gloves of a rust/brick color. She wears gold earrings shaped like flames, set with tiny orange - red jewels. At the base of her neck, tattooed on her skin are silver, dragonfly/fairy wings.

3. When she was only a baby, Rowena was kidnapped by the fairy people, and enslaved to them, the tattoo on the back of her neck a sign of this.  She is a changeling. She was put to work in a charm forge, making and enchanting charms for the fairy peoples' enjoyment and ease. She has never been allowed out of the fairy realm, and up until a few years ago, never knew that there was another world. As soon as she found out she started trying to escape. Now, after three years, she has found herself stranded and lost in the human world. Fable stumbles across her and takes care of her. She knows almost nothing of the human world, but knows a lot about magic.

4. Occupation: Well . . . I kind of mentioned this in her background, but  here it is again: She worked in a charm forge, enchanting charms for things like good luck, finding your way, knowledge, patience, things like that. Rowena mostly designed charms though(understandable because she is human and not having any official powers) , making them out of gears, bits of metal, beads, anything she could find.

5. Attitude towards main character: At first Rowena is really awed by Fable because she is the first (and only) other human she's ever met. But it's not in Rowena's nature to be told what to do, and after a bit she is back to being her usual sarcastic, adventurous self.

6. Special Abilities:Once, she stole a powerful charm that will grant you any wish. Rowena used it to wish for magic, so she has some basic powers. She is also very good with her hands, she loves to build charms and she is constantly fiddling with gears, clockworks, and things she has hidden in her pockets.

7. Fears, weaknesses, secrets: Rowena is scared of the fairies. She is terrified that her old master will hunt her down and return her to the fair world, where she will be stuck the rest of her life. She is also scared that she will never find her place, she knows she doesn't belong in the fairy world, but she wonders if she will fit in among humans.

8. How are they helpful: After so many years in the fairy world, Rowena knows quite a bit about magic and how it works. She helps Fable discover  more about her curse/gift, and where it came from.

9. What they want most: Rowena's secret dream is to find her family who she was kidnapped from. She wants to fit in and have a place somewhere and not be and outcast.

10. Crowd Sorcery Sentences:  Rowena hugged her knees to her shoulders, shivering. She felt the hard, scratchy bark of the tree on her back, but she didn't care. The dark had closed in hours ago, drawing it's veil over the forest. Rowena hated this, another oddity of this strange, unforgiving world. She sat, rigid against a tree, feeling vulnerable without her sense of sight. Her ears strained to catch any footsteps, or strange noises. Suddenly, to her right, a twig snapped. she sat still as stone. What if it's them? She thought, The fairies. A scraping sound followed by a flash of yellow light. Rowena cowered, her eyes shut tight. She felt a hand on her shoulder. Slowly she opened her eyes, preparing for the worst. The flickering candle light illuminated a girl, not much older than her, holding a lantern, a pack strapped across her back.

"Hello," said the girl, "My name is Fable. " Her deep blue eyes caught Rowena's attention, and she knew this was someone she could trust.

"I'm Rowena." Rowena said, hesitantly. The girl cocked her head.

"Would it be rude as to inquire as to why you are in the forest in the middle of the night?" She asked.

"I - I have no home," said Rowena. "I'm a changeling." She said the word as the insult it was.

Fable saw that this was no ordinary girl. "Come, "she said, "I bet you're hungry."

Name-mitten or Celia.  

Appearance - coal black skin and hair that is always pulled into a braid. One of her legs is white (ankle down) ( that is why she is called mitten). She wears a spotless white dress with a green sash. Her weapon is a spear but she also has a dagger hidden in the folds of her cloak (which is dark black to blend in with the shadows). She also has a good sense of hearing. 

Background- she was born to a queen's lady-in-waiting, but was stolen by a sorcerer a day after she was born (so she would not remember who she was). He left her on the banks of a river to starve but she was found by a mother leopard (there are many kinds of wild animals in the forest). The leopard group/ tribe/pack adopted her and so she lived with them until she was seven. One day when she was hunting she was found by a meandering huntsman and his wife. She lived with them until she was ten. Then she left them and started wandering on her own. She was wandering by a river (the river she was abandoned by) when she met Fable. 

Occupation or Trade - she was just a wanderer until she met Fable then she became her bodygard and her errand runner (for food and such). 

Attitude toword the main character - she admires her and wishes to do any thing to please her. 

Strengths or special abilities- she is an awsome spear-thrower and she is very crafty (not in a bad way); she also blends into shadows because of her cape. 

Fears, weaknesses or secrets -- she cannot kill any wild animal because of her early life with the leopards except foxes, rabbits, raccoons, etc. She also keeps Fable's power a secret. 

How is the sidekick helpful- she runs errands and protects Fable. 

What does the sidekick want most -- She wants nothing but to serve Fable. 

Crowd Sorcery Paragraph- Celia was just sitting by the slow-moving river when she heard a slight rustle of paper. She looked all around and then up. She saw a girl sitting on a branch in the polkmio* tree and writing. After about five minutes the girl sensed that she was not alone.She looked down and said. "Hi, I'm Fable. What's your name?"Celia was amazed, this girl was so friendly and they had only been together for one moment. But that still didn't take away her friendliness and she said, "My name is Celia. It's nice to meet you. Can I see what you are writing?" And that was the beginning of their friendship. 

Name sorral 

Appearance she is an elf. She has golden hair and blue eyes ( not to mention big ears=) she wears a green dress with leaves sewn all over it. She has a bow with a golden handle and gold tipped arrows. 

Background she is an elf child and she has always lived in Romoria* she likes to sneak out of her world to look at the stars( they don't have stars in Romoria )in earth. She was looking and listening to the stars when she heard a sound she turned and saw a girl about her age. They chatted for a while then the girl ( her name was Fable) told her that she needed help. So sorral offeredto help and they became friends.  

Occupation or trade sorrals parents ran an inn ( Romoria is as big as earth) and Sorral helped them so you might say her occupation is an inn owner not to mention working for Fable.

Attitude towords the main character she is amazed at Fable's power and is willing to do almost any thing for her. 

Powers or special abilities she has very good hearing and seeing skills( all elves do) she also has a knack for metal working but girls are not allowed to do things like metal working and crafting.  

Fears weakness or secrets elves aren't suppose to leave Romoria but some are drown to the outside. Sorral is one of these elves. She dosn't know Fables secret yet but when she learns she will also keep that a secret.  

How is she helpful she is very good at listening and hunting also she is swift and silent and can blend in.
