In other words,
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
In other words, a way for us to flatter each other immensely.
A lot of big shot writers- and debut authors and Other Authors- get interviewed and those interviews sometimes make it to a publisher's website, fansite, YouTube, TV sometimes, etc. etc.
Well, now it's time for the authors of the ChatterBox to get star treatment!
Every other day, someone will get picked to be Interviewed. Fellow CBers will post 3 questions i.e. Why did you start to write? and then the Author of (every other) Day will answer them (for their alloted 2 days of CB Stardom!). And then after their 2 days are over, they'll choose someone else to interview (or they could let me choose since I have too much time on my hands... *hinthint*)! And repeat repeat repeat. This is a good way to get everyone prepped and ready for their future real-life author interviews. And it's also fun. And flattering.
Try to pick someone who posts frequently, since they only have two days to answer des questions. (an easy way to do this is to click "Last Reply" on the thread twice so you can see who posted recently_
Now lettuce begin!
Let's start with... (*searches Inkwell and BaB for frequent post'er*)
SC!
From the information that I can gather in a few seconds, the intelligent SC is a frequent post'er on RPS. She is currently a part of the Deaderlands RP (which she also started) in which she plays/writes as Peter Pan. She is also part of the RP started by the phenomenal ARPS which currently has no title. She writes as Juliet Butler in said RP. There is a countless number of other RPs and RRs which she is a part of and/or started.
She was a participant- and winner- of the 2011 NaNoWriMo. Her hobbies include the delicate and renowned art of Running Like a Maniac, playing the piano and chorus. The music she novels to includes: New Divide and Famous Last Words, and the music she listens to when she is not novel'ing includes Muse, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and- occasionally- Greenday. She currently lives Somewhere In the Universe but also vacations to Narnia on occasion.
Her works include but are not limited to:
The Guardian Angiks of Demok High (a novel written for NaNoWriMo)
Endeyrory Pracea also known as Endey the Slayer in An Untitled Dragon RP (started by the amazing Tiffany W.)
Cartmer Tylara Animesti Tasbreeyard vika'Drom in New Character Lounge (which she also started)
Hephaestus in Mythology RP (started by the ever-so-smart Choco)
Nyx in Mythology RP
Shade Chase in Put-Your-Character-In-A-Room (started by the amazing Quintus) Shade Chase was also featured in another Character Lounge
Dante Rossi in Steampunk Fantasy Circus That Definitely Didn't Copy The Night Circus By Erin Morgenstern (started by yours truly)
Q&A Time!
(try a minimum of 3 for Maximum Flattering but more is always appreciated I'm sure)
Q: When did you start writing?
Q: Who is your favourite character that you have written? Including both original fiction and RP characters.
Q: Which character that you wrote would you say is most like you?
(sneaking in an extra few questions)
Q: Which character that you didn't write would you say is most like you?
Q: If you could write a story of your life, what would be the title?
And I probably stole half those questions from some interview or English worksheet. ;)
Now let the games begin!
(and if you were wondering, when I do my research, I do my research well) ;)
(April 6, 2012 - 11:37 am)
And one last question, Madame Everinne,
Whom do you name as your successor?
(September 9, 2012 - 9:45 pm)
Yes, Everinne, we're waiting to hear who will be the next to be interviewed!
Spammy says urhc. Is your stomach feeling all right, Spammy?
(September 11, 2012 - 3:47 pm)
Oh, I can't chose between Melody or Blackberry, my two fellow Directioners! I'll go with...Melody, since I've got an argument to make up with a girl of the same name...not this Melody, though.
So....
1. What's your favorite genre of books?
2. What's your opinion of dystopic fiction? Of magic?
3. What character would you like to be from your book/story/roleplay?
4. What character would you like to be from Harry Potter?
(September 11, 2012 - 8:48 pm)
Awwwww, thanks!
1. I like fantasy/sci fi/ mystery crossovers that happen in the real world best.
2. Dystopic fiction is good in moderation. I think there are way too many utopia-turned-dystopia books out right now, which I don't like. I believe in magic.
3. Sonny, because she is really funny. Also, she has an awesome life and she's psychic.
4. Erm, Hermione? *has not read Harry Potter since she was five*
(September 12, 2012 - 2:16 pm)
Melody! Congrats! My traitorious Muse is off in Lala land, therfore I will ask you questions you have asked people before.
1. What's the most outrageous thing you have written?
2. If you were at a school dance, and you asked your favorite male character to dance, what would he do?
3. If your favorite character appeared in your room, what would he/she say?
4. Do you like writing villians or heros better?
5. If your second favorite villian you created were ever to meet Katniss, what would said villian say?
Okay, that's enough for now.
(September 14, 2012 - 6:42 pm)
Haha, well I do write good questions.
1. I once wrote a totally fake account of Bulgarian history based on a writing prompt to write about something you know nothing about and make it sound believeable.
2. He'd probably dance with me, because his love interest is based on me, so he'd probably think I was cool.
3. Sonny would insult me. Leota would say something really sarcastic and/or bossy. Persephone would probably be really curious as to where she was.
4. I like writing villains better because I get to use a side of me I never usually let out. *mwahahaha*
5. That would probably have to be the villain I won most heartless for in the Villain SI (second to only the evil guy in my novel). She would probably threaten Peeta or Prim or Gale for no reason except she's evil.
You guys tell me when my reign's up.
(September 15, 2012 - 6:34 pm)
I read the Bulgarian history on figment, it was hilarious.
(September 16, 2012 - 5:20 pm)
Melody, I willl attempt to think of something deep to ask you.
1) Is there a lemming in any of your wondrous works?
2) Would you be willing to publish a summary of several selected stories you have started?
3) Please do so.
4) What does your ever eloquent captcha say?
5) What is the meaning of your captcha's meandering?
6) Do you ever amazingly alliterate aimlessly (as I am awfully attempting)?
7) Madam Melody, please share a philosophical or non philsophical rant that will enrich our souls.
8) My captcha says deef. What the heck does that mean?
And, lastly, props for listening to Xanadu on August 19.
(September 16, 2012 - 11:33 am)
1) I am dreadfully sorry, but the last thing I wrote that was even close to a lemming was a ferret. And I had to turn it into a lizard when I edited my friends and I out of the story.
2) OK, the Strange Martian is about a girl who figures out there really are Martians and a Martian who figures out there really are humans. When the Martians land, the girl finds evidence that Martians are real (a bottle with a Martian address on it [yes, I know now that is not proof]) but then the spaceship takes off. A powder turns her skin green, so they think she is one of them. She finally gets home and ends up marrying the Martian's annoying little brother.
That's honestly the only one I've finished so far.
3) Oh, you just meant to say I was willing in the last one. Well, I did.
4) The esteemed Spammy says "orxn". I think he either means onyx or oxen.
5) My friend Mr. Spammy is here to tell us *Spammy takes over keyboard* Can it, Mel. I am here to take over the world and my odd little words are prophesies of impending doom *Melody* Oh, like you can take over the world with an onyx. *Spammy* Yeah, that was a fluke.
6) Sorry, but you're using assonance. Alliteration is just consonants. But to answer your question, yes. I do.
7) *clears her throat*
I loved the last episode of Phineas and Ferb. I seriously have no idea how the writers come up with this stuff! I mean, a whalemingo! Who thinks like that?! If anyone was wondering about the giant floating baby head in some of the episodes, I know the full story behind it. The creators wanted to do a haunted house episode so they asked all the animators to come up with some really scary stuff. Someone said a giant floating baby head, and it's been an Easter egg on the show ever since.
8) It means your CAPTCHA can speak. Congratulations.
And lastly, thanks. It was on in the car and I knew you people liked Rush, so I listened to it to get a taste of it.
(September 16, 2012 - 8:45 pm)
Is your turn up, Melody? If so, who do you name as the next chatterboxer to be interviewed? I'm sorry I didn't post more questions. My imagination is on holiday.
(September 24, 2012 - 5:38 pm)
TOP!
Captcha says kniv. Violent captcha.
(September 25, 2012 - 6:51 pm)
Hey, Melody, is your turn up?
(September 27, 2012 - 5:18 pm)
I pick Red. As he is the new person with the most seniority.
(September 27, 2012 - 5:35 pm)
Thank you very much, Madam Melody. (Sorry, I call all girls either Madam ----- or ----chan. You're not really a Melodychan.)
I'm not very much of a writer, I prefer to draw. I have made a lot of comics, though. Right now I'm working on one about demons, which is quite fun. I also write humerous poetry from time to time, and write parodies of ridiculously girly anime and manga. If you want, I can go track down an appropriate one and post it here.
(September 27, 2012 - 8:08 pm)
What do you consider to be inappropriate? The Shugo Chara ones? Please post one here I have not seen.
