@Claire S: I was thinking a swamp since I never heard of that being done and I am pretty familiar with swamps. Oh and some of the people here haven't read the Hunger Games Series so it would be best not to have too many spoilers.

@Elizabeth M.: Um... Emma and your charrie are from different Districts so they wouldn't ride on the same carriage train. :) But I'll just skip the train ride for this.

Hmm... Should the arena be... A giant maze? The Cornucopia could be in the very middle? That's really all I can think of except for a desert (boring) and an Arctic-like place (also boring).

Oh, and just by the way, I can't remember anything about the order of being recreated by the Prep Team, eating, and etc. Sorry if this throws a wrench into anyone's plans.

//Emma//

I got off the train and Sior herded me and Titus into the Training Centre. (That's its name, right? I can't remember.) We then were led into a glass elevator and up we went. Soon, we were in a richly-decorated room, and in it was a large table, piled with food. Titus ran and began to stuff himself, but I walked and sat down before eating. Properly too, with a knife and fork.

"Stop eating like a pig!" Sior shrieked. "If you continue to act without any manners, no one will sponsor you!" Titus immediately sat down and began to eat.

I ate. And ate. And ate. Soup, steak, and chocolate. Chocolate, steak, and soup. It was a wonder how all this food could fit in the Capitol.

And it's a wonder how the Capitol people don't seem to give a thought about the starving District people. I thought bitterly.

All for now. I'm writing something else and I haven't been able to get a word in today. :)

The parade or whatever it's called happens after that. I will just go ahead and post that. Would the rest of you post your costumes.

I was led down to the floor where the chariots were. What's his name led me to my chariot where Archer was already waiting dressed similarly to me. Our chariot was blue-green with wave designs. Our horses were pure white. All the other tributes were already there waiting around.

I walked over to a table with sugar cubes and grabbed a handfull. I walked back to the chariot and fed them the sugar cubes one by one.

Finally it was time to mount the chariots and ride out. I stepped up and stood. Archer followed suit. We saw Districts 1, 2, and 3 ride out. Then it was our turn. Our horses moved on cue. We rode out into roaring crowds. I put on my brightest smile and waved to the crowd as we traveled in an arc towards the Training Center.

Danielle—

As soon as I got off thetrain, I was taken into a weird dressing room. People pushed me down harshlyinto a chair.

First off, my hair wascombed and pulled, braided and unbraided, curled and straightened until Icouldn’t feel my head anymore. It was all quite degrading but they finallysettled into putting a light wave in my hair and then a few curls around myface.

Next was make-up. Theytook dark red and put it over my eyelids and curled my eyelashes until I feltas if they’d fall off. My dark cheeks were toned up with a light blush. My lipswere covered in dark red lipstick and they made them look bigger by lining themwith dark red.

Then I was taken to thedressing room. A woman looked at my plain outfit and said: “This just won’t do.”While she looked through racks of clothing.

She gave me a dark pinkdress with a dark red sash around the waist. It fell over my ankles in abeautiful flow of cloth.

I was given light pinkshoes with heals that hurt. I wanted to complain when the people stuck my acingfeet into them. I stood up and almost toppled to the ground if it hadn’t beenfor the woman behind me. She uttered the word clumsy as I looked in the mirror.

I looked like a giantpuffer fish in Barbie doll form. I felt weird because I never looked like this.

I was let out and putinto a shining white carriage with Eric who was also dressed in red and lookedas uncomfortable as I was. We were brought into the blazing sunlight and theroaring crowds. I felt like fainting on the spot as we were led out. My dresswas way to tight and I felt as if I’d fall off the carriage from heatexhaustion and loss of air.

I put on a brilliantsmile and waved at everyone happily as if this was my life’s dream. I skimmedthe crowd for any familiar faces but I didn’t notice anyone until I heard myname called. I turned around and saw Andy running to try to keep up with thecarriage. His eyes shone but I couldn’t mistake the shining tears on his littleface.

A large silent tearrolled down my cheek. I kept waving but now my smile had been washed away as ifby a wave of sorrow. I felt the pang at leaving Andy all alone in the world. Myheart hurt and my dress squeezed my ribs even more.

I blew a kiss at Andyand shouted: “I’ll miss you!” through the applauding crowd. I thought that Andywouldn’t hear but he did and I felt the first of the bitter sweet feeling in mystomach that I would get used to as time passed.

Just so you know, Andy wouldn't be there, it's like cities, and you can't get to another city unless for a special purpose. I really liked it, though!Smile

Marcus

I decided to stay away from Minerva as much as possible. Better not to stir up my feelings for her. Pritz rushes me to the train. From the corner of my eye, I see a Peacekeeper step out of a car I assume Minerva is on. My room is close to the door of the train. Very slowly, (he must have heard about the whole stupid thing) Pritz tells me I can do whatever I want. If I need something, ask one of the Avox, it's there only job to serve me. As he turns to leave, he adds,

"Dinner is in an hour, Marcus." He closes the door behind him as he walks away. I lie and look at the white ceiling. I get up, I lie down, I get up. I finally settle for a position  looking out the window. I watch as the districts speed by. I must have lost track of time, because before I know it, an Avox is nocking on my door to signal that it's supper time. I force  myself up. An Avox directs me to the dinning room. Minerva is sitting next to Sally, deep in conversation. All I can think of is how beautiful she looks in her reapng day dress. Christopher is sitting down, pigging out. (You'd think all of those years in the Victors' Village would have made him eat like he wasn't starving like the rest of us.) He takes a break from his shoveling to smile a half-chewed food smile at me and Pritz. As I settle in, I hear Pritz mumble,

"District tributes, more like district barbarians!" Oh, yes, I think coldly, we're the barbarians, and you're just getting us ready for slaughter, and smiling all the while! I decide to make it a point to show off my "barbarian"ism, so I grab a blob of dip in a fancy crystal (at least I think, I've never actully seen crystal before) glass with my bare hands, and barley surpress a giggle as I notice he avoids the dip the whole night. HA! I think triumphantly. Pritz eats, but just barely, and then pushes in his chair, tells us, "Good night, and good dreams! The train will dock in the morning time, and you two," here he nods to Minerva, and a little more curt, to me, "will get to meet the prep team." He walks out the door. I absolutly DESPISE, you, CAPITAL!!

"Soooooo." Sally says, and turns to me.  "Do you want to train with Minerva, sweety?"(AGAIN WITH THE STUPID THING!)

"You can stop treating me like I'm 2. I'm not! Get it, got it, good!" I say, using an old pre-Panem reference. Every body else just stares at me.

"Calm down, Marcus!" Christopher warns. But I can't "calm down." I can't help it, I was just choosen to die, the capital is evil, and everyone thinks I'm stupid, and I snap. "No, heck, don't even bother training me, I'm not going to win. Rather die at the Cornucopia, then give my mother a false sense of hope! Put all your effort into training Mineva, she'll get lots of sponsers, won't she!" The last sentence is a snarl. It's all I can do not talk about the capital, the Peacekeeper, Pritz. Minerva runs out of the room. Darn, I never meant to hurt her. Sally and Christopher stare at me. I sit down. I'm exhausted from my outbreak, my snap.

The prep team washed me down with some painful chemicals, then they set to work.

They washed, brushed, and curled my hair until the ringlets hung down perfectly. Then they put on a bit of make up. Luckily, not too much.

"You're so pale," remarked one of the preps.

Once they were satisfied with my appearance, they left and my stylist came in. She was carrying a pale peach thing, a pair of slippers, and a small velvet box.

"Put this on," she said simply. I took the pale garment and put it on over my head. Then I looked in the mirror.

The dress was shimmery pale peach and was rounded at the top and bottom. A red band was tied just above my belly-button.

"You're a pill, k?" the stylist said dryly. Then she handed me matching flats and tossed me my token. "Be sure to wear that too. And these," the stylist handed me a pair of magnet earrings from the box. "You know how to put them on right?" I nodded and put them on; I'd seen enough girls from town do that to know how.

The stylist then looked over me then left without a word. Pretty soon, Sior came in and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the elevator.

I was out in two seconds flat, it seemed to me, and in a chariot next to Titus.

"Be sure to smile," he grunted when I stepped beside him in a chariot. I nodded and looked out into the crowd.

Don't look weak, look happy and strong, I thought to myself. Maybe you'll then get enough gifts from the sponsors that you'll last more than a day.

Sorry that wasn't so good. I'm really sleepy right now.

@Clair
S/Marcus- Good idea.

@Sam-
My cousin told me. I’m not sure how she found out.

Mineva-

I sat on the floor of the Justice Building, thinking.
I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn’t notice the door had been opened
until I heard a sob. Looking up, I saw my mother and brother standing next to
the door. Both were crying. I slowly stood, and walked over to them. “You
shouldn’t have come,” I said.

“I had to say good-bye,” my mother said.  “If I didn’t…” She left the sentence hanging.
I nodded. We stood there, in silence, until the door opened again. “Time to
go,” a Peacekeeper growled. My mother nodded, hugged me, and walked out.
Richard, however, stayed where he was, not doing anything.

“Richard,” I said, “you have to go.”

He nodded, as if in a trance, then gave me a hug.
“Good luck,” he said.

Sorry I'm so behind, I'm really busy.
