@Sam- I heard that awhile ago, but, I mean, The Hunger Games are sort of violent, right? So wouldn't the movie be rated R, or something like that?

@Sarah K.: The movie's being rated PG-13. :)

@Claire S.: You can probably join, as long as it's okay with Elizabeth D.. :)

Marcus-

I dressed, ate, and thought. To some I might seem stupid, but I wasn't. I was "gifted." Today, reaping day. I was 12, and needed no tesera, so the odds were pretty slim I was going to be picked..(1.23667 to 123963.8643 to be exact.) Mom ruffled my hair, and tucked in my tie and we left to the ceremony. I went to my assigned spot and waited. The capital man read the same thing he reads every year. Then he pulled the girl's name out. I wasn't much interested, cause, it was a girl, not like I could be picked or anything. "Mineva Jird," he read. Wait, not Minerva! Minerva was so perfect, it was hard not to love her. I started to volunteer, but I relized I couldn't. She was holding back tears, I could tell. A little boy stiffened. His sister, I presumed. She walked up. He pulled out the name. "Marcus Cri." I started to feel bad, wondering why that name sounded familair. Oh No! It shocked me, the truth. It was my name! I walked up, each step I took, closer to my death.  Minerva's face showed pity, and a saddness that read 'he's too stupid to have a chance'. To bad, it would have been easier to not love her if she was trying to kill me. We went through the procedures, and they took me to the room.

PS How long does it take for them to review your comment?

@Claire S.: I assume your speaking of the Admins. And it depends, I'm not exactly sure. Oh, and District 13 doesn't participate in the Games. It was destroyed by the Capitol during the Dark Days. :)

The time before a comment is posted varies, depending upon what else we Admins have to do. And long comments take longer to review than short ones.

@Claire S: I am glad you joined. It's always great to have more people.

@Olive: Really it's only being rated PG-13. There is a lot of stuff in there that they would have to take out for it to be PG-13 and it probably woudn't be violence.

@Everybody: Sorry I haven't been posting. I promise I will tomorrow.

I think the movie would be fine. I've seen a lot of PG-13 and a couple R movies and they mostly don't bother me. But I could never watch saw. *shivers*

But I think The Hunger Games would be fine.

Sarah K- How could you hear about it a while ago? It's coming out MARCH, 23, 2012. They havn't even made commercials for it yet, so how did you know a while ago?

Danielle—

I was led off to a train going toward the capitol. Andy’s small sad face still loomed in my mind.

I stepped onto the train and sat down in the first cabin I saw. A girl was sitting there. She had mousy brown hair, beautiful dark gray eyes and her fingers were abnormally long.

She looked up at me.

“Which district?”

“Eleven, yours?”

“Six. How old are you?”

“Fourteen, you?”

“Fourteen.”

She was quiet and looked out the window into the passing landscape.

“Are you scared?” This was a question I didn’t want to answer but I had too. Actually, I was dead scared of what could happen. If I died…

I took a gulp and answered the question.

“Yeah, I’m scared. MY brother’s all alone and if I die…”

She looked at me slowly with her dark gray eyes.

“I try to hide it but I am, too.”

I smiled weakly at the girl who I would probably have to fight later.

The Justice Building is a neat building. They escort me to the room. It's fancy, with crystal chandeliers. There is a small loveseat, bright red. The color of blood, I think grimly. Mother walks in. "So, see you back at home?" It's a question. "You and I both know I have no chance of getting back." She has tears in her eyes and she can barly contain herself. She kisses me on the cheek and walks away. I don't expect anyone else to come, but they do. It's Selvester, my nerdy friend. He smiles, and I smile back. We sit there in silence. He breaks it. "So, how you holding up? I calculated the odds and they're 1.359 to 29.03. Man, I wish I had a token for you, like, but, I don't know what to give you." He stood up and left. This was sooo not my day. The hour is almost up.I sit and I wait. There's 2 minutes left and a disorganized girl rushes in. My cousin. "I brought you a token." She's smiling, clearly pleased with herself. "It's a necklace." It has the word "deteremination" on it. I smile and tell her it's wonderful. I'm the only boy who would wear a necklace.

So, if someone writes a part with another character that someone is, do we just go with it, or do we write it from our character's perspective? If it's something that could never happen, like a skinny, underfed girl beating the Careers without any weapons, I think we should confirm that we agree this could actually happen. If it's totally plausible, like the Careers beating a boy with no weapons or anything, we could just go with it, without confirmation. So, what's the arena going to be like? We could do something really cool, like in the 75th, where every hour there's a new threat. Or we could just do a setting like a forest, or Iceland.

She is herded out of the room by one of the Peacekeepers. The doors click behind her. The last loving face I'll see before the games begin, and most certinly, my death. The capitol man, Pritz I think, walks me out to a black car. It is almost crowded, since it's me, the mayor, 2 Peacekeepers, and 2 victors. It's a man of 30, he won 12 years ago. He is named Cristopher. He barely won that year, outwitted them. I can't remember it; I was only 1. The other is an older women, 85. Her name is Sally. She smiles at me. There must be a seperate car for Minerva.

Hey, Sarah/Minerva,

I think we should do something to simplify a detail we have to share, like what outfit our stylist has for us. What about writing in italic? If you think of something better, please tell me. Thanks!

Admin, I can't find my post. Do you know what happened to it?

What post, about what? I think I've posted many from you, Elizabeth.

Forget my other post Admin. I must have accidentally replied to a post instead of just adding another comment.

Just to let you know the tributes didn't travel with other districts.

//Lina//

i went to dinner in some clothes I had gotten from my room. A plain
lightweight skirt and sky bue blouse. At the table I saw Archer Peirce,
Poppy Sengle, Mags, and the other hunger games winner, I forgot his
name. I sat down. The first course was an excellent turtle soup. We ate
in silence. When we finished that, another course came and after that
another. Everything was excellent. There were things I had never had
like pork ribs with a spicy sauce they called barbecue and succulent
steaks and crisp apples.

We finished dinner with a lovely thing called bread pudding. I got
up and left the table, too tired to talk. I went to my room on the
train and put on silky pajamas. I fell into bed with a sigh of
contentment.

.......

We arrived at the Capitol at 3:00 the next afternoon. I waved out
the window at the crowd. When the train stopped we were escorted to a
building. Inside Archer was taken by one Capitol attendant while i was
taken by another.

I was taken to a room where I found my prep team. They spent the
next few hours beautifying me. After they thought I was presentable
they called in my stylist. He walked in and said, "Hello Lina I'm
Renor, your stylist. " "Hello. What do you have planned this year for
our opening costumes?" "Something I hope you'll like." He called to the
prep team and they brought in my costume. It looked like water rippling
in the breeze in the shape of a dress. The color was exactly right.
They put it on me. It felt like air and when I looked in the mirror it
looked like I was wearing part of the sea.

The prep team did my makeup. All the colors were blues and greens.
When I saw myself after they were done I looked like I was some
humanlike sea creature. I put on boots the same color as my dress that
went up to my knees. "You're all ready. I'll take you down to the
(Forgot what it's called)."
