What are you

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

What is everybody reading these days?
What are you...

What are you reading?  What book did you just finish?

I didn't like Tris much (I wasn't really attached to any of them, if memory serves), but the books were exciting, and more importantly (for me), the Factions and their history are really fun for me to analyze. It's like thinking about the Hogwarts Houses but even better because there are more of them and they have a bigger effect on the world as a whole.

I'm reading Don Quixote at the moment. It's really long, but quite funny, although not as exciting as many of the more modern books.

@ Blue Moon:

I'm just about to start Don Quixote (it's very long, but after reading fantasy, nothing will surprise me)! Is it pretty good? Someone once dared me to read a whole chapter of it in Spanish...yeah, not really gonna happen!

I finished reading Anastasia's Secret a couple of weeks ago, I finished Nancy Drew:The Clue In The Jewel Box a week or so ago, and I am currently reading Entwined. Anastasia's Scert in by Susanne Dunlap, Nancy Drew is by "Carolyn Keene" and Entwined is by Heather Dixon. I am reading Tangerine for school, Witch Catcher with my dad, and Peter Pan sometimes at night.

I just got The Looking Glass Wars, and I love it! It is so cool! I also just finished Artemis Fowl, and I am now a HUGE fan! I adored every minute of it! I can't wait to read the next! I also just through reading Prophet of Yonwood, (part of the City of Ember series) and it was good, just not great. Also Midnight Rider, which I recommend to everyone! It is a brilliant book!

@ Blue Fairy, what version of Peter Pan are you reading?

Ooh, The Looking Glass Wars! I'm a huge fan of Redd, personally. The trilogy is not perfect, but she makes up for pretty much everything.

Incidentally, there's a soundtrack, even though it's a book. I think it's worth looking into. It's by a whole bunch of different artists, so some of the songs are... not very good (for instance, the one in which Bibwit Harte, of all beings, raps. Bibwit Harte. Really.), but I love some of it, especially "Puddles and "Thru* The Looking Glass." I'm actually a pretty big fan in general of Gemma Luna, who sings those 2 songs, because of the album (meaning that was the first thing of hers that I heard, not the only thing I've heard).

*For some weird reason, that's how they spell it. The song's good, though, I promise.

So I stopped the Twilight thing. It was worse than Twilight. -.- I read Uglies, which was pretty good, and now I'm reading City of Glass.

I'm reading A Wrinkle in Time. I had read it was when I was younger (8 or 9), but it was confusing. So, now I am rereading it and it makes much more sense. I'm glad my teacher wanted me to read it again!
