HPFF 3Some o

HPFF 3

Some of you might remember the AU/Tom Riddle-centric Harry Potter fanfiction I was writing a while ago. Or not. I don't know. It wasn't terribly good and it sort of... died a horrible death because Tom was all horrendously out of character and stuff. So I put it on hold for a long time and then started rewriting it for a third time.

Random Poetry, everybuggy

Random Poetry, everybuggy!

And no, this isn't "Dancing clocks singing with the purple pea flowers!" random. This poetry is simply where you type the first things that come out of your head and make it a poem. Here's mine:

Ink Splotches

bit too late

in the moonlit evening

to be singing

alone

in the red room

*Zines. Has anyone

*Zines. Has anyone else heard of them or make them? I do. They're really fun to make, because you can put lots of poetry and collages inside. Sometimes, I'll hide mine at Cici's. :):):)

*Zines are like magazines, but with more randomness. :) You can also hide them as part of guerilla art, which involves leaving small trinkets in places to make people happy.

I'm writing a story (and it is a rather good story, if  I do say so myself), but I'm afraid that my MC is becoming a Mary Sue!

RP inspired by Spammy, Andy, CAPTCHA, Zar, etc. We can use the letters that come out of that little box to create places and people. Ideas, anyone?

"Early Writing"

"Early Writing" thread!

Remember the good old days of 1st grade where poems had to rhyme or they weren't any good? Time to relish those memories again! Hunt down a writing journal, flip through a folder, and scavange your computer for any writing from in Kindergarten-4th grade. If you're sixteen, seventeen, eighteen (like TNO) and you'd rather do something in 5th grade-middle school because of the age difference, go right ahead. Post your old writing on this thread, and have fun!

I was debating

I was debating whether to put this poem in DtE as well as in the Inkwell since it is 95% a true story, but decided against it since it is in poem form when I write it here. I hope you like this poem. For loss of a better name, it's called Carpet. :)

"What does the carpet smell like to you?"

Father put his face to the ground.

"It smells like dirty carpet," he said.

I lay there, not making a sound.

"Why? What does it smell like to you?" he asked,

RP, anyone? I

RP, anyone? I thought that we should have another RP that's not based on a book/series. We take turns writing a piece of the story from our character's point of view, just like always.

(I say Ashling here, but that's not her name. You'll understand in a minute.)

Ashling--

"Rise." I tried and failed again to get the flames to do my bidding. I scowled at them, but they did nothing. "Rise!" I tried once more, and once more they ignored me. I glared at them.
