Hi Amethyst!
*looks at forms*
Oh, we're both scared of spiders apparently! The big ones frighten me the most. There's just something about them that is really creepy crawly...for some reason I like other insects but not spiders.
And we both like the Chronicles of Narnia and Wonder! Those are all very, very good books. Which is your favorite book in the Narnia series? Mine is the Horse and His Boy. The interesting thing is when I first read Wonder, I didn't like it, but when I read it the second time, I loved it.
What kind of poetry do you like to write? I like to write rhyming poems with rhyme scheme, meter, and consistent syllable length.

Yayyyyy more confetti *throws 2s and 0s and 5s* :P
Yeah, the calendars are pretty much a tradition - I've been making the bird ones since I was about eight or nine, which explains why I'm so good at drawing birds XD I like watching birds from time to time when I have the chance, and so does my dad; they're also just very colorful and pretty. Ooh, I never knew that calenders existed! Aside from the calendars (not calenders lol) I haven't been drawing very much lately either... unfortunately I have an art course in school, which is partly art history this year but partly drawing, so I should really find the time/inspiration to create more art.
Yes, it was fun :D I got a mini notebook and a necklace from my grandparents (who love to give me notebooks and necklaces or other jewelry, for which I'm very grateful to them :) ), a calendar (the thing that tells time, not the machine!) for 2025, the headphones!! which I'm actually using at the moment, and I think those were the main things. I also got to talk to my extended family, which was so nice. How was your Christmas?
I'm always up for discussing books! At the moment I'm rereading The Hobbit (which I hadn't remembered as being so... exciting), and I'm about to start David Copperfield by Charles Dickens for school. TH is the only Middle-Earth Tolkien book I've read, shockingly (I also read Roverandom years ago, but that was written specifically for children), but I like it. I don't think it's one of my favorite books, but he was very good at writing as if he were recording mythology, and he also uses the typical old-fashioned British writer's style that I love. Have you ever read it? If not, I think I'd recommend it - it's definitely a classic for a reason. And whoops, I forgot to say the title of the book about the museum guard (!!); it's called All the Beauty in the World, and it's by Patrick Bringley.
Oh dear :0 Well, if they will both be called Jane... I hope Jane Eyre will be good.
There do seem to be similarities between Latin and Spanish (since I know Spanish, I can partially decipher Latin), but they're also different in a lot of ways. Anyway, as far as Latin pop recs are concerned, I'll try not to completely swamp you... My absolute favorite Latin pop song is "Te regalo" by Carlos Baute; it's extremely lyrical (in which case you should like it, lol >:D) and happy. Carlos Baute in general is one of my favorite singers - some of my other favorites of his are "Amarte bien", "Loquitos de amor", "Me faltas tu", "Colgando en tus manos", "Y ahora que", or for some more typical pop ones, "Muy loco", "La cuenta", "Vivo y muero por ti", and "El chisme". Basically all of his songs are great, but these are some of the ones that I like best :) Otherwise, there's a singer called Fonseca who's in more or less the same style, and has songs like "Te mando flores", "Hace tiempo", and "En vivo y en directo". For single songs (and not Singers In General), I like "Berimbau Metalizado" by Ivete Sangalo (I think it's in Portuguese, so I don't understand it myself, but it sounds nice), "Chas! y aparezco a tu lado" by Operacion Triunfo, "Adelante" by Naiara, and I should really stop... Anyway, if you try any of these and like them, I could translate them for you, or you could probably look for translations online?
It's amazing that you're learning Chinese! What's it like?
(Parentheses forever!!! They're lifesavers and I love them :] )
My memory isn't too splendid either :/ Music can really bring back feelings of a certain time, though, which is one of the reasons I love it - if I listened to a song a lot during a certain time period and then moved on, listening to it again is very evocative.
Oh yes, that would be great! I'm sorry I've been taking so very long to post my parts - I will today or tomorrow, if possible.
You're right, they really do :0 It's so clever to use a snowflake to symbolize them! I've never tried secret codes (actually. I did write an alphabet once, but I never used it), but I love inventing languages :D How many secret codes have you invented?

Oh, and also, I wanted to say - I love the abstract art that you posted on the Sketchbook thread! It looks so intriguing and professional~
